I believed I gotten a refurbished room. It is very clean and comfortable for me. The TV is new (still with plastic attached at the sides, not on the screen itself). The two reception ladies are very friendly, we have some small chats and laughs. Location is perfect. Review is based on 1 night stay only.

Comfortable hotel

Large hotel near the river. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms with adequate facilities. Good for one night stay in Krabi town before exploring further afield.

We stayed just one night at the hotel, location is perfect for both night markets and for links to peir and airport. The lady at reception got us a good deal on the ferry too lanta and transport to the peir was included. Overall it's not a bad place to spend a night in krabi town.

Photo vs Reality

The hotel does not look like the one in the picture once you get there. The bathroom was very DIRTY and GROSS!! The staff were not very friendly as well. Will NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good times are gone

Thai Hotel Krabi is located quite in the center of the city - the night market is in walking distance and there are bars and restaurants just around the corner. Unfortunately, Krabi itself has not so much to offer as it is not located directly at the sea. No offence, but travellers should keep that in mind when planning their trip via Krabi. The building itself is outfitted with the comfort you would expekt from a 3 star house, but it's best times are gone longer ago - everything looks a little bit 70s- like. Personnel is friendly, aircon is working well but too loud to keep it running during sleep.

Good size but the walls looked dirty and had a funny damp smell. The bathroom was very moldy looking. We only stayed one night. The hotel is in a good area close to various restaurants and all the night markets. It is also about 10 minute walk to the airport bus station which is across the street from the courthouse.

Absolute worse

Just don't do it. We checked in the staff was friendly enough. First room just smelled horrible. Second room smelled way better but honestly I didn't realize how dirty it really was. We went got lunch came back and that's when we started noticing things. The sink didn't drain and the pipe under the sink leaked horribly. The walls were dirty, there was dirt all along the floor and wall if the bed. Just really gross. We walked down and said we were leaving. My boyfriend took a staff member upstairs to show her why we were leaving and she seemed surprised but she understood. We ended up taking a cab to Ae Nang which was significantly better!

Moldy room

Our room had no ventilation and the corner near the air conditioning unit was completely covered in mold, making us feel sick whenever we were in the room for long periods of time. Definitely would not recommend this hotel.

Hard to beat for the price

Stayed there 3 nights. First booked a room with a king bed but they gave it to someone else. They upgraded us to a mini suite for the trouble and I thought that was pretty nice. While setting a towel on the counter I knocked the glass over and it fell and broke. Didn't think anything of it. Next day they moved us to the room we booked with the king bed. We went to the front desk to ask for some extra towels and they said I have to pay $2 for the broken glass. I know better than to try to argue about things in Thailand because you'll just get frustrated and only bad things can come of it. I politely reminded the lady that had they not messed up my reservation in would not even have been in that room and it was an accident so could we just call it even? She looked at me like I was a criminal and said OK. Other than that it was a cheap hotel with a good location close to the night market and local shops. I would stay there again. Just remember TIT. ..This is Thailand and everything will go better.

We stayed here only one night. The price is reasonable during high season. Hotel is nice and clean. Nothing is special. Good for business trip.

Cheap Hotel

This hotel is a good place to stay if you are looking for a cheap place. We paid around $20 a night. Beds are hard and bathrooms are not for the OCD type. All in all though staff were helpful. Helped with booking tours and got good deals.
