I wouldn't normally stay at a bungalow styled residence like this, but I was pleasantly surprised. I found the room pretty spacious. I would've liked to have a safe. There were some friendly resident cats which was nice to see. The highlight has to be the views from this place. Whether you're at the restaurant, the pool, or any one of the excellent cabins, you get one of the best views on the island. The staff was also very friendly and ready to help with a smile. I had a very smooth stay.

Staff super helpful and friendly. This property is a little far from the city therefore need to take taxis. They do offer free shuttle service to 3 nearby beach and pick up. Limited to 2 restaurants on the property as everything outside property is far. Located in the mountains with breathtaking view but lots of mosquitoes when seated outside at night. Kind hotel staff that offers bugs spray complementary. This property has excellent wifi and offers a shared workspace with offices.

Amazing!

The Phangan Utopia Resort is a fantastic property that you will no doubt be happy you stayed. The rooms have a view that is second to none. My room is on the side of a cliff and you can see the blue water down below. If that was not enough miles of beautiful mountains surround you. There is an outside rain shower and the jacuzzi bathtub is also outside but private. It’s not everyday you can soak in a bathtub outside listening to the birds and watching fish breaking on the blue water below. The staff is as good as it gets. The people are friendly and helpful in every way . I can’t say enough about the wonderful staff. They helped me with my luggage, made breakfast, cooked dinner, tended bar, cleaned my room and even rented me a motor bike. They also told me where to go and how to get around the island while providing me a map. On a personal level we talked and laughed at the 360 bar that they also ran. The 360 bar is 200 meters up from the resort and it is an amazing bar that has the best view on the island and maybe one of the best views in the world. The best I have seen. The sun sets over Thailand and the sky treats you with a different work of art each and every night. When I left, the staff booked my ferry and taxied me to the port. She helped me check in and waited until I was settled. This is one of those experiences that has made my life better. Thank you .

Great, clean modern hotel set ontop of a hill over looking the ocean = great view!! Excellent service from hotel staff. A short 100m walk to lookout/roof top bar which is a magical place to watch the sun set. Surrounded by some of my favorite beaches in Thailand. Breakfast was all you can eat buffet, good quality. Best bang for buck hotel A+

The staff were lovely and helpful, the view was incredible, the pool was clean and had a stunning view and the uptopia fried rice from the restaurant was delicious. Loved being there and would visit Koh Phangan again just for that resort. Would highly recommend.

Avoid room U11. It has a rock garden in the shower/bathroom and therefore it has cockroaches and other bugs crawling in and out of it. Shower spray very weak and bed was uncomfortable. One front staff is fantastic and the other (with glasses) needs to be fired. Beautiful views, good breakfast. Nice pool, but we only went to the beach (via scooter - you need a scooter here, it is not close to anything). We were there for live music at the 360 restaurant and it was excellent. We had to come back for one night and had a better room - no bugs, but bed was still not good. I would look for somewhere else next time.

My favourite hotel in Koh Pha Ngan

I love Utopia so much. They treat me like family. I've been to Ko Pha Ngan 4 times and 3 out of my 4 times I stayed at Utopia, and the one time I didn't I regretted it so much! The resort is very clean, beautiful, has a great pool. It is a little far from the closest 7/11 but there is a free shuttle everyday by the hotel workers that will take you to the 3 popular beaches on Pha Ngan and then you can go to the 7/11 when you're at the beach. If you're looking for central Ko Pha Ngan and want to party and meet people at night then this isn't the place to go as it'll be hard to get home late at night. It is up a hill and taxis stop running early on the island.

The view are beautiful and the staff are very helpful. They did have a few issues with the credit card machine so just make sure to have cash on you just in case. It was a really good hotel.

Relax in quiet seclusion

I stayed here for 3 nights recently & loved everything about it. The staff was always available to answer questions, the daily breakfast was a nice treat, the bungalows are cozy & clean, and it's situated in the peaceful northern part of the island.

I only spent 3 nights at this resort but wish it was longer. Great location with beautiful views of both mountains and the coastline. The 360 bar is only a short walk up the hill with a picturesque sunset view.

A well run resort.

Best value on the island so far. Stayed 6 nights, wished we had booked longer, but they were full. The staff is obviously well trained in customer satisfaction....always friendly and available. Basic but free breakfast, and shuttle to near beaches makes up for slightly more remote location. Amazing viewpoint evening bar for sunsets. Also great views from restaurant and pool. Only problem was bathrooms...NO water pressure, only a dribble. Also, the only mirror is in bathroom with very little lighting...needs updating.

Great staff, fantastic views

Great stay from start to finish. Free pick up from the pier (but must pay for return journey Thb200 per person). We were upgraded to a pool view room. Rooms are comfortable and clean with good hot shower and good A/C. Good reasonably priced food and drink. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a free shuttle service to 3 of the local beaches if you decide not to rent a bike and hotel will organise taxis for you. The views from the pool and restaurant are stunning. Wifi in public areas but worked well. Resort is on a hill so not for someone with mobility issues. Would happily stay here again.

won't stay here again, that'd for sure.

The room was very old, maybe over 20 year old and was very dirty there's no basic things like a hairdryer inside. The water pressure in the shower too weak takes a hour to clean away the shampoo. A lot of animals that nobody takes care of walking around. Some strange voice came from the wooden wall, maybe a rat. And a lot of ants and other things of this sort was traveling there everywhere. Nobody cleaned our room for 4 nights and mostly we was outside. The location is very bad far from evreything, the taxi super expensive starts from 200 baht, you should rent a motorcycle to get anywhere. The only good thing is the staff were very friendly and the restaurant was good and tasty. The guests there also was nice mostly couples.
