I stayed at the Naka with my husband and three children for a family vacation. The resort is beautiful but very quiet and isolated. I honestly wouldn't recommend it for families or couples with children. My children were very bored at the time we were at the hotel. I stayed at the tropical pool villa 30 and tropical it is! There is no understatement about that. If you would like to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and spend a very relaxed and quiet time then the Naka should be on the top of your list. The service is at the hotel is exceptional and their staff are extremely attentive and helpful. I have stayed at many hotels but this hotel by far exceeded my expectations when it comes to their personalized services. The hotel was running at full occupancy while we stayed there yet they still remembered us every time and addressed us by our names. Some important factors to keep in mind if you're considering staying at the Naka- 1. It is very tropical in nature. So expect mosquitoes, bugs , giant centipedes that find their way into your room and there is absolutely nothing that they or you can do about it. If you can make peace with that then that shouldn't be a concern. Unfortunately my children were so freaked out by the centipede that was in our bathroom and the lizards that were crawling in our bedroom we had to cut our stay at the Naka short and check into another hotel with a less tropical setup. 2. The bathroom / washroom/ vanity/ closets/ shower are in a separate area connected to the bedroom. This area is basically an outdoor area that has been semi closed by some concrete walls and screens. It's is not ventilated in any way expect for a fan that's basically useless amongst all the heat and humidity coming in from the screens. Insects etc can very easily crawl into that area and we have seen that happen everyday. Also you need to bare in mind that's the only place you can keep your luggage. Unless you have them zipped up all the time you are very highly likely to take one of their tropical friends back home with you. Naturally it will get very hot and humid in there. Drying your clothes or getting dressed in there can get very annoying. 3. Dining options are quite limited at the resort and their breakfast is less than average. However everything we ordered was delicious. The hotel advertises itself in their booklet once u check in as a resort based in a Muslim area of Phuket and therefore the food is halal. All coldcuts/ bacon /sausages etc served at breakfast were pork. I'm a Muslim and I found that frustrating. However chef Jonathan will always be very kind enough to whip up anything not on the menu or help find alternatives. Yet it would be nice of alternatives were readily available to us. All in all my stay was very pleasant and we were all pleased yet sad to have to cut it short. I would definitely visit the Naka again but only with my husband for a short getaway or mini honeymoon break but not with the kids. I must thank the team at the Naka for their assistance and professionalism and Rose in particular for her amazing support and generous in helping us find another hotel in Phuket, booking for us and helping us settle in. We really appreciate all her efforts with us at all levels.
This hotel was absolutely amazing it was my last stop of my birthday trip and I whish I could stay longer. From the beginning till the end everything was perfect. Special thanks to Khun Sid who wecomed me at my arrival and helped me to find my lost wallet that I left in the other resort on a different island. He resolved my problem quickly and within the next day I had it back. All the staff definitely exceeded my expectations always smile on their face and ready to help. Moreover I would like to thank the pool staff as they always knew what I needed even without asking (bringing new towels, and cold water on a hot day :) ). As well as Khun Sky from the restaurant who always gave me a warm welcome and adressed me by my name. You guys made me feel like among friends evendough my last stop I travelled alone. You are great keep it up! Hopefully I will be able to come next year with my family! :) Thank you.
Such a beautiful resort unlike any other. Loved the ambience of the private huts, the food was great, attentive service from the staff, great variety of water sports for guests and the spa was heaven! Would highly recommend for a great relaxing stay.
1-beautiful people work here. They are so nice especially Chefs Jonathan, Bastian & Sich, GM Erich, Khun Noi, Khun Bow, Khun Joy & Khun Goii are some of the many staff who love their jobs taking care of guests. 2-villas have fantastic views, clean & wonderful amenities. 3-5* just amazing. 4-our 3rd time here & a 4th one next month. We just love it here.
This place is paradise! I loved staying here so much that I honestly didn't want to leave. The staff (Sky, Pom & Cake were my favourites) is amazing and goes out of their way to make your stay unforgettable. It was a perfect stay!
Had time for a short holiday in Thailand and decided to split it between Bangkok and some island. After some reasearch we ended up spending 3 nights at this lovely place. Amazing Villas with totally private pools, fantastic staffs all a round the place. And very important for me while choosing a hotel, they treat spg platinums very well. Upgraded villa, free breakfast and internet but most fantastic of everything, the free drinks at the Z bar! We spent every sunset there with amazing drinks and fantastic service from the bartenders! This is what makes the differents for me. + to many to mention, But the free drinks and amazing service from the bartenders at the Z bar makes the holiday perfect! - Maybe the beach. Especially at this time due to extreme high and low tide. Chinese guests.(maybe because I'm a European living in China for work and try to escape).
Stayed here from 19 to 24 July. we booked two units, a tropical pool and a sea view pool unit. both were exactly the same apart from viewing the sea from one of them. In fact they were next to each other. The difference in price between the two was over the double! The fact that the photos of the unit's garden/pool/ sea view does not reflect how they are in reality was highlighted to the resort when we were there. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay in the tranquility of the island. The transfer from Ao Po to the island and back was swift and enjoyable in a decent speed boat. the check in was very swift too. the staff were all very friendly and helpful. A few that stand out, Oliver, Danielle, Sky, Beer and Joe. The "beach" is quite calm at all times, with lots of rocks and shells during low tide. The resort provides kayaks, stand boards, sail boats, etc. On the beach, you find independent jet ski and boat rentals ( a guy called Isa) worth trying, very honest. breakfast was excellent, both the food and setting. very enjoyable with excellent staff and service. we tried the other two outlets for dinner, My Grill and Z Bar. we didn't like My Grill but very much enjoyed the Z Bar ambience and food. we ventured into the village a few times and enjoyed the street food and the walk to the view point. with a stay of 5 nights, we earned the free daily boat trip to Phuket which we used once and was enjoyable. overall, a bit different from being in Phuket proper. A place to be in if looking for a quiet and relaxed time.
I spent 4 nights with my family in this beautiful resort and I have to say that, despite the bad weather, we really had a great time. With a sea view pool villa, the view is stunning, the villa is original and beautiful, very quiet and always extremely clean. The staff is absolutely awesome, always very kind and many times anticipating your needs. Very good breakfast, food in restaurants to be improved, though: the taste is not always there. We knew that an Italian restaurant will open in the future: I really advise to use genuine and true Italian ingredients. The pizza margherita served now cannot be called "pizza": no taste at all. The beach for us is a crucial element for this kind of vacations and unfortunately it was a disappointment. The only cleaned area is the one right in front of the main pool, but when the tide is low, a walk along the rest of the beach reveals a lot of trash hanging from the mangrovia trees and a swamp of wood and mud. Please, Management, allocate some resources to clean that trash and keep the beach clean.
We arrived at 3am after being awake for nearly 24hrs and everything was perfect which set the scene for our whole 10 days. We went on a couple of day trips but otherwise lounged by our own pool, ate and drank great food and wine, enjoyed the perfect surroundings of the spa, and were waited on hand and foot-10 days of pretending to be the rich and famous! Great privacy but also really attentive staff from the grounds staff to the pool man to the maids to the concierge and restaurant staff. Would love to come back.
Staring for the warm welcome to the most , to the extra friendly staff specially sky from the restaurant , the great villa , the lovely breakfast , the extraordinary beach , the amazing landscape all in all the place is simply amazing.
