Property needs extensive improvements! Soap is like lava rocks! Not friendly for people with disabilities!
Very friendly even at late night check in
Room was very musky and there was no really good hot water. One of my showers I had was pretty much cold. Bed was quite comfortable but the rest sucked.
It’s bad. We almost didn’t stay but were in town for a UT game and there was nothing else. Staff was very friendly. No complaints there. But - the whole facility is non smoking and there was a cigarette burn on the toilet seat as well as on the decorative blanket on the bed. Sheets were clean (only reason we didn’t BOLT and spent $400 a night elsewhere). The furniture was literally falling apart - I’m surprised the tv stand is still standing. The sealant on the tub is extremely stained - I think the soap by the sink had already been used…. The facility has a very strange set up. Pictures online are completely wrong and misleading. No coffee pot. No breakfast. It has really good potential as it has a great pool and water park area but it’s ‘closed due to Covid.’
dirty, worn down, very noisy
Smelled horrible. The property was dirty. The pics on Orbitz were obviously from another property. An extra charge for use of the pool? Ridiculous. Our rooms carpet was torn, the A/C made a terrible noise all night, the room was dark, and there was very low water pressure. We found stains on our bedding, the fridge would not cool, and the exterior door leaked in the rain. Trash was everywhere including needles in the parking lot.
The room smelled disgusting. The floors were wet and felt dirty. The desk and table were dirty. Room keys barely worked. We literally had to book another hotel and get a refund for the remaining nights from this reservation. Their customer service was terrible. One customer service agent said we would get back only 1 nights stay when we had 2 nights left. Another agent said we would get no refund back. Then I get a text message saying a refund of 2 nights is being refunded back to me. When I asked why he said we would not be getting a refund, he didn’t have an answer, all he said was he was sorry for that. This OYO Hotel in Knoxville, TN is the most horrendous hotel we ever booked. I would hope no one books here.
Didnt like the fact i had to pay a separate fee just to swim in a swim pool that only goes 5ft closes at 9 an didnt open back up in the morning til after check out the room i had look like the sheets had been laid in their was a funky smell when i entered both rooms the bath room floor was dirty an some drawers was in the room under the table in eyes view
This property had an indoor water park play area for the kids! Was shut down when we visited due to corona but we plan to come back and visit when it all reopens!
They need to update the hotel name online. When I placed the reservation and even now in my email it calls it hotel Knoxville but the signage on the hotel is OYO.
Staff was very nice and helpful. More like a motel style. Could use a deep clean and an upgrade. Bad paint jobs and patches throughout the hotel. No elevator access. Pool never had towels available and when they brought more it was only a few. Pool is also not enclosed, so the chemical smell is strong throughout the hallways. Waterpark area was freezing but the pool was heated. Breakfast consisted of toast, cereal, and coffee. The hotel is in walking distance of many shops and restaurants! Overall not a bad stay but you definitely get what you pay for. Side note: $10 a person each day to access the waterpark, not bad but not designed for older kids.
I have stayed at this hotel at least 7 times in the past year. This time, I had to pay extra for the use of the hot tub and pool, which we didn't get to use. The manager wouldn't refund the extra cost they charged. No toilet tissue, coffee maker didn't work and the front desk associate kept referring me to the mgr which wasn't available until the next morning after I left to travel back to work. I called and the manager wouldn't refund anything and banned me from the properties. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed in the hotel, amenities, and especially the manager of the property. We will never return and hope this review will reach other potential guests.
I liked the fact that the room entrance was inside not from the parking lot outside. It felt safer to enter. The room was nice and clean and cozy. You didnt have to go outside to get to the lobby.
We loved the indoor pool and jacuzzi. The layout of the hotel is awesome
