Excellent cottage stay

We had a great time here. It feels very remote, in the middle of farmlands, but is a 7min drive (or 30mins cross field walk) to a very well appointed little town, and 15/20mins from a variety of excellent beaches. Host has some excellent local recommendations on that front. Cottage is well appointed enough to self cater when you choose with “proper cooking” but there are plenty of eat in and takeaway options near by. Very clean and appropriately equipped bedrooms and en suites. Nice (properly enclosed) areas to sit out in. Would highly recommend.

Lovely stay in Kingsbridge

We had a very enjoyable week at the house - it’s really comfortable and spacious, which was perfect for us as a young family! The hosts were very accommodating with our late arrival (and finding a baby bath for us!) and left treats for us which was much appreciated. The location is great and easy to get to the lovely beaches and towns in the surrounding area. Highly recommend.

Loved the Barn, clean, fresh and upmarket. It has all the amenities one needs. Could quite happily stayed forever!

Amazing pad !

We loved our stay, hosts were super welcoming and helpful - you can’t beat homemade scones and a personalised welcome note ! House stunning, very well equipped, with high quality furnishings and bedding. Super stay.

Wonderful holiday cottage experience

Joy and her family were so welcoming from the outset. The cottage is perfect, well equipped with everything you could need and two great outdoor spaces. Made good use of the full facilities of the cottage. It’s in a lovely courtyard setting with the other barns and it’s a short 5 min drive in and out of Kingsbridge which is your local for most things. Avoid some of the narrower lanes as they’re treacherous but the main route into Kingsbridge is your safe route to everywhere else. Would love to return here.

A week at the stable

A well appointed and clean and well maintained property. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The location is a bit remote but typical Devon and near plenty of restaurants etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our week.

Fantastic hosts, perfect location and lovely property - cant praise highly enough

The village near Kingsbridge is the perfect location for Devon beaches and walks with the cottage fully equipped for an active family of four with puppy. Joy and Steve's warmth and local knowledge made the holiday for us. From guidance on meadow walks from the cottage to beautiful hidden coves and great paddle boarding locations - no request was too much! Exceptional break - will definately rebook - hopefully to the larger house with friends, many thanks again
