OBX Trip

Loved the classic albums and turntable. My granddaughters loved the legos. Kitchen well stocked. Very comfortable and clean. The swimming pool was nice to walk to in the evening. Nice quiet neighborhood. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent place to stay

The property was a part of a quiet neighborhood located on the sound side of Kill Devil Hills. We had very little issues while we were there. The owner and property manager responded quickly to any question we had throughout our stay. We had four in our family, so the accommodations were great. The upstairs was a Jack-n-Jill layout, so it made it easy for our girls. The kitchen had some supplies, but I had prepared for that and brought my own dishes, pans, measuring utensils, etc. I wish I would have known about the limited amount of towels and washcloths. We had to purchase some while we were there. I did bring laundry detergent, but we didn’t have enough for the second day (one towel and one washcloth per person). The beds all slept amazing, and there are TVs in each room. All appliances worked great, and we spent a lot of time on the outside spaces. The back deck does not overlook anyone’s backyard or another property, so it was private and peaceful each morning. The pool is a short walk around the neighborhood and is easily accessible. The pier was okay, but nothing exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would recommend this property to anyone coming to experience the Outer Banks!

Obx House Stay

We wanted to try a sound side place this visit and the space itself was adequate for four of us. About 3 miles from the main drag and beach, but a little pricey for the location. No direct access to the sound like in Duck, which was disappointing. The property needs some upgrades. Bed mattresses need replaced and memory foam toppers please. Pillows were so bad, we went and bought new ones for the stay. Bed linens should only be washed with unscented laundry detergents and dryer sheets! One of us has allergies to scented detergent which I failed to mention to the host. The dishwasher flooded on the first use. The dryer did not dry clothes. Still wet after 3 hours of drying towels. So we couldn't use either one of those appliances. I notified the host about the dishwasher and she thanked me for the info. Kitchen very unorganized with some unnecessary items, yet lacking essentials and had very old cookware! The deck area had obviously not been cleaned and readied for guests, so we took care of sweeping and cleaning the table and chairs which had mildew all over the seats. Lastly, the kitchen table was so scratched and sticky from long term use and the finish off of it, it was nasty even to play cards on. We would not rent this space again. For pretty much the same price, you can get a place 2 blocks from the beach and walk to dinner!

Great location- good neighborhood, with restaurants close by. Very quiet and clean and an attentive host. Thoughtfully decorated, and fully stocked kitchen. Overall, an amazing experience and would come back again!

Super Cute Cottage

This is a great house in a quiet location close to everything! The house was very clean and well equipped. The only complaint is the lack of a TV in the downstairs master. Everything else was perfect. We will book again.

Cozy cottage

Great place out of the bustle

We very much enjoyed the house. Close enough to the beach. Far enough out. Great neighborhood. Pool is a short walk from the unit. And it’s a nice pool. We had two family parties staying. Mine, with mom dad and 5 year old. And the other family was mom, dad and two teens. It worked well for us. Only hitch for me was where to put the kid. I didn’t want to make the teens crash with the kiddo. 😆. I kept her in the master on an air mattress. However, it’s a king bed, and we could have put her in with us. ( if I trusted her, there is a pullout in living room. ) Kelly and Linda were great to work with. Fast communication. Would rent again from them.
