The Golden Nugget Cabin

Welcome to The Golden Nugget Cabin at Backroads Inn and Cabins. Newly restyled into a clean, simple, and beautiful space. This studio has a king-sized bed above a small living room and kitchenette (full-size fridge, hot plate, sink, toaster, microwave, coffee pot). Enjoy fresh air and listen to water run down stream on this 8 acre property surrounded by National Forest. You will feel complete peace while also being minutes away from Mt Rushmore (2.4 miles) and Custer State Park (15 mins)

Community Pool (heated) open 10am to dark Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Please Note: We offer Starlink Satellite wifi, but being located in an isolated valley we are susceptible to slower speeds.

Please Note: Our cabins are surrounded by the Black Hills National Forest, so you'll likely see deer, wild turkeys, and other wildlife. As with any wooded setting, the occasional mouse may find its way indoors, though this is uncommon.

Lovely cabin in a great spot!

We had a great time at The Gold Nugget, it was perfect for a few days on our trip! I'd recommend it to anyone looking to stay near Mt Rushmore and Custer State Park.

Cozy Cabin

We had a lovely stay in the Golden Nugget Cabin! It was cozy, relaxing, and so peaceful. We look forward to a return trip.
