5 The Townhouses - a house that sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms
Styled to a beautiful high standard, the Townhouses offer you the option to stay together with friends or family in your very own private Lakeland residence. Built at the turn of the century in the vernacular slate architecture, the Townhouses are warm and welcoming yet stylish, light and spacious. The houses are tastefully stocked to make your stay in the Lake District a pleasure. Many period features are retained and sympathetically restored, including original floor tiles, fireplaces and ceiling coving. The four elegant bedrooms are spread out over three floors for space, comfort and privacy.
On the ground floor there is a spacious bedroom with king size bed, a well stocked kitchen teamed with rustic bench and seating, and also a shower room to the back of the house. Essentials such as cutlery, utensils, cookware and appliances are paired with indulgent little extras such as an espresso machine.
The stylish living area is on the first floor with a log burning stove to complement the central heating enjoyed throughout. A flat screen smart TV permits access to Netflix, Now TV, Amazon Prime (please bring your subscription details to log in to these services) as well as a DVD player and normal TV channels. Also on the first floor is the main family bathroom, and a double bedroom. Cole and Lewis bathroom toiletries are offered in the bath and shower rooms, together with fresh towels. The twin bedroom is on the 2nd floor and can be made up as super-king on request (please be aware there is a £15 charge for this service), along with another double bedroom.
High specification wifi is provided throughout for your convenience and connectivity to home. Each house has its own private outdoor area, with seating to enjoy a meal or a glass of wine at the end of the day. The restaurants, wine bars, supermarkets and other diversions of Keswick are only a moment's walk away yet the quietude of the fells can be experienced in under an hour's walk or a few minutes drive. Windows open onto views of Skiddaw and Latrigg to the north and to Catbells over the rooftops of Keswick to the south. Visitors to No.5 have the convenience of two complimentary parking permits to the adjacent long stay car park. Please note the Townhouses are not available for hen or stag events.
The cottage is heated and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 4 bedrooms. Guests can expect free WiFi and a Smart TV with a DVD player and Netflix. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and an espresso maker.

Shhh! Don't tell others...
Great property, great location, great value for money, and a super-slick use of technology to make the whole experience easy and efficient. In fact, I almost didn't write a review as I wanted to keep this place 'secret' as it's a proper gem!

Short Break
Stayed at number 5 the town house for the weekend, there was a party of 8 of us to celebrate my Husband’s 50th Birthday. Ideal location for exploring Keswick right in the town centre. Beautiful accommodation very spacious, clean and everything you need is there. Loved the outside area to the back great for sitting out, as we had perfect weather. I would highly recommend this property excellent value for money. I would no hesitate to stay here again.
Wonderful Cottage, centrally located in Keswick, enjoyed our stay, plenty of plates/glasses etc in kitchen and lovely property. The only thing we would add would be an clothes airier as after lake water sports and getting wet walking hard to get clothes dried in small area above Washing Machine or maybe a tumble dryer would be of benefit. Would highly recommend property and owner.

Great location
Great location for a stay in Keswick, right in the town for access to the shops and restaurants. There is a downstairs bedroom and bathroom with a walk in shower, which is great if you have someone with limited mobility, but be aware the living room is on the first floor, so you do need to tackle some stairs. Very clean, warm and well provisioned in general. There is some traffic noise to the front downstairs bedroom.

Excellent Location
We found 5 Townhouse very warm and comfortable. The kitchen has everything that you need and the bathrooms are excellent.
The only problem we had was that next doors internal doors made a loud bang when closing, probably could do with slow closing door closers being fitted. Overall excellent house and we would use it again.

Lovely property - great location
Lovely 4 bed townhouse house (1 large ground floor bedroom and shower room). Well equipped. Courtyard garden. Pet friendly. Beautiful views from living room (Skiddaw) and within walking distance of Derwentwater, with theatre by the lake, access to boat trips etc. Good location in Keswick. Decorated to high standard. Accommodated our party of 6 adults and 2 children without any overcrowding. Beds very comfy! Parking permits issued for cars to use car park. No parking outside property. Only need to take this into account if severe mobility issues. Fab property and would return.

House in central location but extra attention to detail needed.
The town house is on a main road and so if you are a light sleeper then this isn’t the place for you. The old saying put the wood in the hole is literal in this property and the noise on the ground floor is loud with it sounding like the front door is open. Location is great for exploring Keswick. Whilst the house had everything we needed, the cleanliness fell significantly short of what we have experienced before from the same company which was disappointing. The property could do with a bit of TLC to make this a more enjoyable stay. Parking wasn’t an issue for us in winter but can imagine in summer it may be more challenging.
We all had a great time. Weather was typically unpredictable but we got some good walks in regardless.
On the property it was very well situated near to the town centre.
A few minor niggles
The key wasn’t in the lock box at 4:00pm we had to contact the letting agent who rapidly sorted that out.
The tablet which is used to provide information gave the WiFi for the next door property again the letting agent sorted this out.
There are two keys one for the front door the other for the back. They look identical yet we consistently picked the wrong front door key.
The email about the car park says permits were valid from 4:00pm tomorrow; it should have said 4:00 pm today.

Wonderful stay
This was our second stay in one of the townhouses for Christmas and again it didn’t disappoint. Location is fabulous, the house is very well equipped with everything you need and the customer service was excellent from the Keswick Cottages team. To top it off, they’d arranged for a lovely thoughtful Christmas present for our daughter! Looking forward to staying again!

Keswick Nov 22
Our first stay in one of the Townhouse properties and all excellent as always. Although located on the main road it is really well positioned for getting about Keswick itself. Would return and book again.

First visit to Keswick
After many years of putting it off we made the trip from Essex and what a wonder. Location fantastic with ease of booking. However having come all that way there were a few things that made what we paid a little over budget.
Downstairs bedroom windows do not open (and someone with asthma, wasn’t very helpful!). there were not enough dining room chairs for this 8 sleeper (only 6). The microwave door was very temperamental , which couldn’t be used most of the time. There wasn’t enough oven trays to cook for 8 (or more) people.
The house does not have it’s own Wi-Fi, it tells you to connect to no7 and therefore when needed to send or receive work emails this proved very difficult most of the day.
We only had a television signal for 2 days until it decided not to work anymore, so when my children wanted to relax of an evening we couldn’t watch TV.
2 front door keys would be a lot easier than trying to use the key box or making sure someone locks the door behind if they have the key.
Luckily the scenery and Keswick Convention made the week but was very let down my this property
