Hilton Milton Keynes4.0 out of 5.0

Room looked tired. Material on desk chair was peeling off. Decoration needs update as well as the curtains. Sofa had permanent stains. However overall it was clean but in serious need of general update. I would say this hotel was very average in terms of accommodation, this however is not what I had associated Hilton hotels with. Parking facilities very good, conference rooms good too. Staff helpful, breakfast good and dinner OK.
I have stayed here a few times and although it does the job it isnt what I expect from Hilton. The rooms are dated as is the bathroom. Bathroom is too small and on my stay the handle in the bathroom was literally loose and nearly falling off. Downstairs in the foyer is current and of a high standard. Shame they cant do that to the rooms However it is convenient for Milton Keynes
Friendly Staff. Clean and comfortable hotel. Great even when you travel alone. Will continue to stay there. Reception staff are very efficient. Bar staff make you fell welcome (especially Grant and Bailey). Rooms are clean, quiet with everything you need. Location is very close to Milton Keynes centre and should you wish to go outside of the hotel then they have a very efficient taxi service which is also prompt. Gym is also available for those who wish to use it. Only two stories wish is great for those people like me who don't like lifts
Not the first nor the last time I will stay here, it ticks the box for most needs with free parking and easy access to motorway and Milton Keynes.. If you came by car! Decided to eat into the bar/restaurant as I could not be bothered to drive into town due to getting a sweet parking space close to the entrance... Or refrase- I was on my own and couldn't be bothered to get a cab Chose the crisp salt and pepper squid follow by the 10oz Rib-eye Steak... Pleasantly surprised to say.. Squid was tender in a crisp batter and the steak was tender and succulent. Plenty of peppercorn sauce accompanied the cherry tomatoes and mushrooms I have had worse meals in a steakhouse so hats off to the Hilton for an enjoyable plate of food. It's good to see that the captive customer isn't being served an excuse of a meal because they could not be bothered to get a cab
We have stayed at this Hotel several times before and the benefits for Gold cardholders have diminished with each stay. Most Hilton hotels worldwide offer upgrades or benefits of some description. This hotel previously offered snacks and drinks vouchers. Now they think a bottle of water is a real gift. We were given a room furthest away from reception with a shabby bathroom, terrible shower over a grimy and bath and no fridge. The bar service was abyssal because the bartender was alone serving a demanding bunch of David Brent type corporate types with loud voices (not his fault). Won’t bother again except as a last resort......
I stay in Milton Keynes regularly and Hilton Timbold is still my preferred location. OK the rooms are a bit tired and the beds don't always hit the mark on the comfort scale but what really compensates for this is: 1. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Any issues are always dealt with efficiently 2. TVs in the rooms are massive and with USB port I can connect to my laptop or watch movies on sky go 3. The food is really good. I have always enjoyed their food much more than other hotels Donna on reception is fantastic and really makes you want to come back with her great customer service and genuinely nice personality
Stayed here for one night, staff are very helpful. Rooms are huge and ample parking is available. Wouldn't recommend breakfast at all as you pay too much for a basic breakfast, there are plenty of places nearby to go to for breakfast
Booked two family rooms, lovely and big but both smelt of stale smoke. Tired furnishings mixed with decent size LED TV and double sockets with USB; loads of toiletries, plentiful coffee/tea, comfy beds. Massive carpark.
Hotel did not feel like a Hilton. No air conditioning, no fridge. The pool closed 18 monts ago. We were looking forward to a relaxing weekend but ended up going to town instead. We got locked out of our bathroom as the lock broke. It took 15 minutes for someone to break the lock as there is no maintenance during the weekend.
The hotel is full and the room I was given smells as if there were a major sewage issue. Being booked in full, there are no other room options. When asked to change rooms three times, all I was told was they would change my room tomorrow. They didn't offer to come investigate, clean, or do anything else. As a long time Hilton Honors member, this is not the level of hotel or service you would expect.
