Kapaa Sands 2 really is on the beach! It's so close to the ocean that building here would no longer be allowed. Kapa'a Sands is situated on a low bluff above the waves, so close that you can literally throw a pebble from the lanai into the sea. The sweet short path down to the beach is half a dozen steps across the lawn from the lanai. The whole home bathes you in the sound of waves breaking on the coral reef clearly visible below. Turtles can sometimes be seen from the lanai playing in the breaking surf. Yet every amenity is right at hand. Sleep is blissful, enveloped by ocean sounds and breezes which flow through thanks to an excellent design with full jalousie windows throughout.

Sands 2 is a rare BEACHFRONT 2 STOREY TOWNHOME, double the size of the single storey studios here. The main floor has a beachfront dining lanai, full living room and 75” Sony smart HD TV. High speed internet. Powder room and full kitchen with eating bar.

Upstairs are two bedrooms; Oceanfront King with new 13” Sealy Posturepedic mattress. Private oceanfront lanai. Garden view Queen with new 13” Sealy Posturepedic mattress and lush garden views from full height double banks of jalousies. Both bedrooms are filled with ocean sounds and breezes. The upstairs full bathroom has beautiful cool tone mosaic floors and white subway tile walls with granite accents, 5’ shower with lovely views and Kohler shower and faucets.

The living room has a Two twin=King Sofa Bed with 6” thick mattress. We also have a folding 5” deep single mattress for a child or teen who doesn't want to sleep in the same bed as a sibling or is small and needs to sleep upstairs close to parents for example.

(The extra occasional use chair/bed doesn't take the maximum occupancy to 7. Six is the maximum we will accept as well as the maximum per Association rules and Sands 2 is definitely full with six.
Four adults is teh maximum recommended, possibly plus 2 kids but Sands 2 is not large. We have a larger, equally good condo nearby which sleeps 7; Kaha Lani 212)

We are now WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY. We believe in pleuralism and inclusiveness. We welcome everyone and The Beach 2's direct beachfront experience is now accessible to anyone. A short level paved path of maybe 50 yards leads through landscaped grounds from the parking area to Kapaa Sands 2. There is a wide door from the ocean side lanai into the living room. The comfortable sofa bed is a lovely place to sleep. The main floor half bath has been beautifully modernised with mosaic floor tile and gleaming new white subway tile walls to match the upstairs bathroom . The downstairs bathroom door isn't wide enough for a wheelchair, but please ask us about convenient downstairs showering for the many among us who do not like or "do" stairs.

Kapa'a Sands has a lovely swimming pool and a convenient, uncrowded on-site laundry. Divine “Baby Beach” in front of the house offers both shallow pools behind the reef perfect for paddling and beach=combing and a large gentle bay for ocean swimming 100 yards to the East.

Coconut Gove marketplace with shops, bars and restaurants and Lava Lava Beachfront restaurant are literally a two minute walk away. Everything in Kapa’a is five minutes away by car or bike (2 hybrid bikes are provided) with all the services you need including local hangouts, beachfront dining and small and large stores, in a cute old Hawaiian town to explore and enjoy.


We aim to make this beautiful condo, and its larger sister property “The Beach” a few minutes South, the best places on the Coconut Coast to vacation! We’d love to see if you agree. (Please ask for details of “The Beach” if your group exceeds six. Groups of up to 10 can easily and successfully be accommodated between the two condos with each unit complementing the other).

We encourage you to book our property at these rates while you can! We have been booking very steadily at both our properties and we do not anticipate offering these rates beyond next spring. At this stage Kapaa Sands 2 is blocked for bookings from May 2027 while we determine future rates and terms, but please feel free to contact us about bookings beyond May 2027.
