One night stand friendly, avoid if backpacking

Was not what we expected, if free condoms and adult channels are what you are after...look no further! When we arrived the receptionist asked for our booking number from what we could see upon booking one was not given, the name on booking was given after a struggle and 5 minutes later she located our room. Wi-Fi was terrible and the atmosphere was eerie. Horrible smell from the bathroom and everytime the toilet was flushed brown blobs appeared in basin, disgusting.

Descent cheap hotel. Nothing special

It’s in a good location, only a few minute walk to main station.. don’t expect too much. We were on the 6th floor and it was clean and didn’t smell like smoke. Our friend was on the 2nd floor and kept having smoke drift into his room.. make sure to request a non smoking floor.

You get what you paid for.

We booked a two-double bed room, for 4 people, but for some reason, they only reserved a double room for us. We also arrived late in the day, so they said there were no other rooms available. But eventually told us that there is a single room, so we have to split up. They did refund the difference for the rooms. Another note: if you do decide to stay here with kids, don't turn on the TV. It was set on the adult channel.

Dirt and overpriced.

Not a good value. The doors are paper thin and the hallway light shines through the cracks. You can hear the neighbors even when the door is closed. The room was old and dirty. You must leave your key at the front desk when leaving the hotel. When you return, the staff has no idea who you are or what room you are in and does not ask for ID.

Excellent location and good cable TV

Very near long distance bus, train and metro station (5 - 8 mins walk). Plenty of eateries and local shops around. Room is small but very clean. Good bathroom. Excellent selection of cable TV channels - including at least 4 adult channels. WiFi is good. Staff is friendly and provide good city tour advice. Water cooler available for top up of drinking walk.

I stayed at Ruei Gung Hotel from 7-10 Dec 2016. The hotel is slightly further from Kaohsiung Railway Station than expected. Since no breakfast is provided, the nearby McDonalds restaurant (opposite Kaohsiung Railway Station bus interchange) answers to our needs every morning.

Cheap for a reason

Room is a lot smaller than expected. Literally just a bed and bathroom (half bath), barely any space to walk around. Very thin walls, so you will hear your neighbors. One of the night attendants who checked us speaks very curtly and just makes you feel like he doesn't care about the guests or the hotel itself.

とにかく写真と現物が違い過ぎる。部屋は古くて汚くて、防音されて無く廊下や隣りの音や声がうるさい。テレビの音量がロックされていてテレビの音が聞こえない。唯一の救いはバスタブがあった事ぐらい。これでお金を取るのは詐欺に近いホテルです

スタッフは質問や要望に応えてくれて助かりました。（アメニティの供給や通訳など） サービスは心地よいものでした。 ただ、外の車の音や人の声がよく聞こえるな～と思ったら、窓ガラスの補修がプラスチックの枠と板で施工されていて、かつ隙間が空いているからだったのです。 冬は隙間風、夏は虫が侵入してくるので早く補修するほうがいいですよ・・・
