My wife and I lodged on the hotel from May 5 to May 6. During charging, my wife's phone was suddenly turned it off and no response. We called front desk for assistance and officers came twice in a short time. They listened patiently and tried their best to fix the problem. I was highly appreciated by their courteous service provided although the problem could be solved that night while we could turn on the phone luckily next morning,
I came this hotel and stay for one night. This hotel is nice and had a unique key rooms. Its different if we compare with other star hotel. For me the key is heavy and big so i think you never forget to bring it with you. The other side of the hotel you can find love river ( ai he river if i not wrong) and you can enjoy cafe at the riverside. Hopefully you are enjoy traveling at kaohsiung.
We only stayed here for 1 night on our tour around Taiwan but our stay was very nice. We had a lovely room overlooking the river and the bridge that lights up throughout the night. Our room was large with a seating area. The bed was very comfortable. (Only thing we did not like about the room is that there is a mirror opposite the toilet which is a bit disconcerting.) Wifi was sketchy. Had to have housekeeping come up and do something under the desk for a connection and several times got knocked off the network. The buffet breakfast, while small, was good.
Excelent hotel in a lovely location with windows to the near river and lighted bridges. We ate here a lovely Kantonian dinner with excelent service. The hotel is is twenty stores so ask for ahigh floor with river view.
Ambassador hotel is one of the, if not the finest hotel property in Kaohsiung. Located at the Love river bank, it provides easy access to many restaurants and places of interest and it's not far from other entertainment and shopping venues. Hotel itself is very well maintained, with relatively spacious rooms. Rooms are furnished in a very pleasant manner. Personnel is very accommodating and proactive. The only drawback is quite poor choice of food for breakfast, lacking fresh fruit and natural juices.
This was my first stay at the Ambassador Hotel Kaohsiung - and most probably I will not return. Although there is a router/repeater for the Internet in every room, the system constantly tripped out. So when I was working on-line with my server back home and the system stalled, all Information previously entered was lost. This could happen every minute or at times it happened after 30 minutes. When I called customer service, they sent a maid to check whether the plug was correctly in the socket!!! Second problem, hardly anybody speaks English - so when you have a problem you cannot have it resolved. Positive: The athmosphere in the breakfast room is much calmer than in other top hotels in Kaohsiung.
The hotel is situated by the most vibrant part of the Love River, however because there are no subway station nearby this hotel is not recommended for people travelling by public transport. If you are driving, this hotel is definitely highly recommended as its pricing is on the Good Value side. The car parking is also convenient, located right at the basement of the hotel.
Ambassador Hotel is a household name amongst locals and well frequent by Taiwanese tourist and businessman, we visited for the night before we jetted off home. With easy check in, within the room we were welcomed with their famous pineapple tarts. Cosy rooms and antique bathrooms, it was a good rest. Nice breakfast buffet and good pool for a fun splash, mind the lack of coverage/barricades from the street front. Hint: Speaking the local language is always useful.
First time staying in this hotel. Stayed there for a week. This is a high class "American" style hotel mostly for businesses and international traveler. Service: There are multiple staffs available at all hours. They are very responsive and helpful. Room The room is spacious and clean. There is small desk/shelf to place belongings, There is fridge and closest. Bathroom is fitted with high tech Toto toilet. Slippers are provided. Complimentary bottle waters (x2) are provided everyday. Dining There are multiple restaurants all excellent but a bit pricey. Location The hotel is located near "Love River" but mostly in low density residential/commercial area. To really get around one must take taxi or willing to take long walks. There is really nothing convenient nearby. The closes metro station (City Council 捷運市議會站 / orange line) is good 15 minutes walk. Overall The hotel is very comfortable to stay, but the location requires long walks to see places.
I had a nice stay and a quick check in, efficient and I received a beautiful room. The english language only a small part of the staff, understands it, but this is a problem throughout Taiwan. It could be in Kaohsiung my ideal hotel but unfortunately I had an unpleasant finale.January 5 I had to check out and I went in another hotel in the city, and about nine o'clock in the evening I realized that I had forgotten a box of cigars in the minibar.I called the hotel at 9:15 pm to warn of the problem and a lady on the phone did not understand me, knowing only to say, that there was too much noise. At 9:30 pm I arrived at the hotel, I went up with a concierge in the room and unfortunately there was nothing.I also spoke with housekeeping and she could only say that she had seen anything. I had already booked for another 4 days, but unfortunately I had to cancel: do not go to a hotel, if I do not trust the stafff: they are, for better or for worse, that make the difference.Normally staff should tell the management, what has happened to me: that's why I wrote this, if they had not done.
