This is an old stone Turkish house refurbished with love from the same us also respect to the natural environment with all necessary for comfortable accommodation.Many different kinds of plants n' herbs growing in the area as there is a lot of water and sources.΀he house is from Paleochora 15km from Sougia 20km n' altitude of 700 meters. You feel so far from civilization but also so close

Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit

Das Haus liegt in einem ruhigen und grĂŒnen Tal. Ideal um einen entspannten Urlaub zu verbringen. Wenn man Kreta ohne Touristenmassen erleben möchte, ist das Haus ideal. Nach kurzer Fahrzeit ist man an den SchnorchelstrĂ€nden bei Paleochora oder Sugio. Aber auch Wanderungen (Höhle der 99 VĂ€ter!) sind in der NĂ€he möglich. Das Haus selber ist umwerfend. Es gibt mehrere Balkone und Terassen, auf denen man im Schatten speisen und die beeindruckende Aussicht ins Tal geniessen kann. Dank der Pflege der Hosts ist der Garten eine grĂŒne Oase. Ausserdem gibt es viele Katzen und einen lieben Hund. Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen.

Traumhaftes Domizil

Es kann einem nur das Herz aufgehen wenn man diese liebevoll eingerichtete Unterkunft betritt. Wir wurden herzlich mit Brot und frischen Eiern begrĂŒĂŸt. Die Lage in den Bergen ist abgeschieden, man kommt absolut zur Ruhe. Die Unterkunft ist super sauber und es fehlt an nichts. Sehr urig eingerichtet und mit viel Liebe gepflegt! Lediglich die Matratze im Bett könnte mal gewechselt werden, doch ein wenig hart. Herzlich empfangen wird man auch tĂ€glich von den Katzen sowie einem Hund :) Wir können jedem diese Unterkunft nur ans Herz legen, der umgeben von der Natur seine Ruhe finden möchte! Kommen gerne wieder :)

Wunderschöner Garten mit Terrassen fĂŒr jeden Wunsch. Weiter Blick ĂŒber das Tal. Uriges, gemĂŒtliches Haus, absolut einsam gelegen. Hier kann man Stille erleben. Der Weg vom Flughafen ist lang, aber er lohnt sich. Melina und Antonis hatten fĂŒr alles gesorgt, sogar fĂŒr Zutaten fĂŒr das erste Abendessen und das erste FrĂŒhstĂŒck. Wanderungen sind direkt vom Haus aus möglich. Wir haben uns viel am Haus aufgehalten und wĂ€ren sehr gerne lĂ€nger als die gebuchten vier Wochen geblieben.

Beautiful house, superb view, very nice hosts

We were glad to have rented this house which looked beautiful on the pictures; we must say that it is even nicer in reality! It is a cosy place with nooks and corners, very nice to be in. The hosts are very nice persons, who were awaiting us on our arrival. They had stocked the kitchen with different sorts of fruit and vegetables, the basic supplies and much more were available, and they had even gotten us a fresh loaf of bread! The valley where the house is located was cold in week 11, when we were present; the fire was burning in the woodstove when we arrived! This valley has few dwellers and was very quiet; the view is superb, and can be enjoyed from the different terraces. It had a quieting, soothing effect on us. The house is enclosed in a garden on different levels, which was beautiful; it is not difficult to imagine how magnificent it must be in the summer. We already plan to return!

Ein wunderbarer Urlaub in einem wunderbaren und ursprĂŒnglichen Ferienhaus. In einem stillen Tal mit herrlichem Baumbestand und unvergesslichem Sternenhimmel haben wir unseren Aufenthalt wirklich genossen. Das alte Steinhaus, das aber allen Komfort bietet ist uns in nur wenigen Tagen zum trauten Heim geworden und der Abschied ist uns schwer gefallen. Melina und Antonis sind wirklich sehr nette Gastgeber. Wie schon in der Überschrift gesagt, wir wollen wiederkommen. Wegen der lieblichen und schönen Landschaft, wegen der netten und ursprĂŒnglichen Menschen, wegen der Ruhe. Danke Melina und Antonis fĂŒr die schöne Zeit in eurem Haus Sabine und Franz aus Salzburg A wonderful holiday in a wonderful and original holiday house. In a quiet valley with beautiful trees and unforgettable starry stars, we really enjoyed our stay. The Old stone house, but this offers all comfort to us. In just a few days we already felt right at Home and the farewell has been hard to us. Melina and Antonis are very nice hosts. As already stated in the headline, we want to come back. Because of the lovely and beautiful landscape, because of the nice and original people, because of the calm. Wat een heerlijk huis is dit!

We werden verwelkomd met vers brood, verse eieren van eigen kippen, fruit en groente, Daarbij waren vele andere lekkere dingen aanwezig die we mochten gebruiken. De huiskamer is heel comfortabel, koel, groot, heel gezellig en voorzien van WiFi. Telefoonbereik heb je buiten op het terras. Er zijn een aantal terrassen, Ă©Ă©n voor ontbijt en diner, te bereiken vanuit de keuken, Ă©Ă©n voor 's middags en nog een paar voor rust of koelte. De goed doordachte eetkeuken is prettig voorzien van vele gemakken. De badkamer met douche is nieuw, ruim en comfortabel. De buitendouche is ook heerlijk. De wasmachine doet het uitstekend. Tijdens ons verblijf waren de peren en pruimen rijp. Vooral de kleine gele pruimpjes van kersformaat waren bijzonder smakelijk. De vele druiventrossen boven het grote terras, met uitzicht op het prachtige dal, hadden nog een paar weken nodig. In de omgeving kan je door de groene vallei wandelen. Voor de liefhebbers is er een waterval en een spannende grot. Wij hopen hier snel terug te komen!

Wunderschönes Haus, tolle Vermieter. Wir kommen wieder!

Das liebevoll eingerichtete Haus und die wunderschöne Umgebung sind ein wahres Paradies. Das Haus ist sehr sauber, gerĂ€umig und komplett ausgestattet. Es hat zwei wunderbare Terrassen und weitere lauschige RuheplĂ€tze rund um das Haus, von denen man den Blick in das Tal und die Sonne oder den Schatten und Halbschatten genießen kann. Eine Terrasse verfĂŒgt ĂŒber einen zusĂ€tzlichen voll ausgestatteten Grillplatz, eine andere Terrasse hat eine zusĂ€tzliche Aussendusche. Alles ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail und Geschmack eingerichtet und gestaltet worden. Die schönen Blumen und KrĂ€uter auf den Terrassen und rum um das Haus werden regelmĂ€ĂŸig gegossen. Die freundlichen Gastgeber Melina und Adonis empfingen uns mit frischem Brot, Obst, Eiern, GemĂŒse, Essig, Öl, Wein und KrĂ€utern. HandtĂŒcher, BettwĂ€sche, Schampoo, Duschgel und Seifen, SpĂŒli, Putzmittel, alles ist reichlich vorhanden. (Wer auf seine Musik nicht verzichten willl: es gibt eine kleine Stereokompaktanlage im Haus, es empfiehlt sich aber durchaus, seine eigene Bluethooth-Box mitzubringen.). Das Haus liegt etwas abseits der Hauptverbindungsstraße, die ĂŒber verschiedene kleine Dörfer nach Paleochora fĂŒhrt. Man muss auf das Schild "Traditional Stone House" achten und dann den kleinen Schildern mit den blauen Pfeilen folgen. Wer die Ruhe und die Natur liebt, findet hier eine pefekte und wunderschöne und toll eingerichtete Unterkunft. Man braucht hier auf jeden Fall ein Auto, in ca. 20-25 Minuten ab dem Haus ist man in Paleochora. Die ganze Gegend ist wunderschön, hinter jeder Kurve tut sich ein neues, atemberaubendes Panorama auf. Es gibt in Paleochora einen Sandstrand, die meisten StrĂ€nde an der KĂŒste sind aber SteinstrĂ€nde (Badeschuhe empfohlen). In der Gegend kann man auch toll wandern. Wir werden wiederkommen und dann ganz sicher wieder in dieses wunderschöne und toll ausgestattete Haus dieser netten Gastgeber.

Peace, quiet, nature and very comfortable

What a peaceful, quiet lovely house this is! Its is very comfortable, spotlessly clean, very good bed, big rainshower, washingmachine, a more then fully equiped kitchen with all kinds of homepicked and dried herbs, fresh fruits, potatoes, fresh eggs, oignons, fresh baked bread, honey and marmelade, olives, water and wine and butter in the fridge on arrival, several terraces so you can sit at three sides of the house, a hammock, beach beds, a spacious living room with a tv and cd's , wifi (not very strong), a beautiful garden full of beautiful trees and flowers. Along with the house you get a couple of cats who are very kind (when i was there one had a little baby kitten) and a very sweet dog named , Kanella who is a very gentle and a bit of a shy soul. And there is a henhouse which is providing you with fresh eggs. Adonis came to the house every day to water the plants and to feed the animals. So you don't have to bother about that. I was there the last three weeks of april 2018 and it was a joy and a pleasure to see all the flowers blossom. Everything was green and full of live. In the morning I woke up with the beautiful sound of humming bees and singing birds. No cars, no noise, just nature. I loved it. You in need a car when you rent this place. It is a 20 minute drive to Paleochora with its bars, taverna's and beaches. At about 10 minutes from the house there is a very greek cafe/ taverna in Azogires, the Alpha cafe, where you can have a drink and a simple but tasteful meal, buy home made produce like olive oil, soaps, and herbs that are picked and dried by locals also. The alphacafe is also the starting point for a beautifull walk along a river with some waterfalls to Anidri and Paleochora and a walk to a cave. The house in located very convenient if you want to hike, You are 20 min away from Paleochora like I said but also around 30 min from Sougia where there are several beautiful walks to be made. The somehow remote location of the house was a plus for me because of the total peace and quiet of the place. Thanks Melina and Adonis for the great stay I had in your little paradise.
