Setting was nice in a quiet location. However, both beds were old and very uncomfortable. The toilet next to the upstairs bedroom ran noisily every 10 minutes or so. The stairs to the basement level where the kitchen, 2nd bedroom and full bath are, are very narrow with narrow steps making it difficult to carry anything like suitcases or groceries down or up. The driveway is shared with another rental unit on the property, which was not disclosed in the listing.

Very Cute Lakeside Cottage

The house was an old, funky lake cottage. It had a bedroom, half bath and living room upstairs and a bedroom, full bath and kitchen downstairs. The yard was huge with lots of shade to stay out of the sun. There was a cute little beach with access to a channel that lead out to the lake. The tall grass in front of the beach made the yard very private. There is a second rental on the property but we barely saw the other renters. One thing to note is that the water tastes and smells awful so bring drinking water with you or buy it on the way to the house.

Two Levels to Navigate

Let me preface my review by stating we are both seniors in our mid 80's with knee and back issues. We enjoyed the privacy and views of the backyard having our coffee early mornings. Very serene. The A/C was great on the hot humid days we spent there. Lovely updated modern kitchen was fully equipped with all one would need and had new appliances that we didn't use as we were mostly visiting family. Full updated bathroom downstairs, half upstairs. Very comfortable bed upstairs not so downstairs. Upstairs bedroom had a nice sized closet but only 2 wire hangers. Kitchen, bedroom and full bath on lower level had outdoor access to backyard. TV area, bedroom and 1/2 bath on upper level had access to street and parking area. Due to the outdoor access areas on either floor and the kitchen on separate floor from sitting area and more comfortable bedroom, this involved lots of up and down, which was not easy for us. Communication somewhat difficult but instructions thru messaging clear. Overall, rental was clean and there were no issues.

Not that great!

The unit is on 2 levels, which I don’t believe was disclosed in the description. Additionally, the water smells terrible with a strong sulfur/rotten egg smell. Check in and out was easy.

Very clean, but unaware it was 2 story.

I took my elderly mom to MI for a baby shower and we stayed here. Very clean, but we were not aware through the booking that this was a 2 story. The stairs to the kitchen were narrow and hard for my mom to manage. She even fell coming up the second day. I would not have booked this had I known it was 2 levels, but other than that, very clean, and a cute place.

Lovely Place on the Water

The property is beautiful. There is an expansive yard right on the water with a small beach. It is cozy place with two bedrooms on separate floors. Each bedroom has a bath (one full; one powder room). The kitchen is well-appointed. The furnishings are modern and new.

Stayed here while we were in the area. Perfect location on the lake with lots of property for lakefront! Nice firepit, and recreation toys! Clean beach area, would definitely visit again!

Not clean

I showed up around 11pm to the property on the first night, the porch lights were on which was inviting, however approaching the front door, the lock box was open with the key just set inside of it, less than ideal and raised some suspicion. Got settled inside and found crumbs, dust and hair all over the property as it looked like it had a very superficial cleaning and nothing more. For the rate of the property it was comparable to local hotels, which I ended up staying in due to the cleanliness of the place. I left that first night and had not been back. I was hoping it would be nice as I would be back in a few weeks for a family funeral and was going to stay again but was rather disappointed in the property.

Loved location!

Loved it, 2 problems though took away from the whole of the experience. The water from the sinks stank , no matter what we tried it stank. Shower, kitchen, bathrooms it smelled bad. The refrigerator gasket had mold all over, i got there first saw it and cleaned it before anyone else showed up. Other than that the location, the contact person, the house and furnishings were good. We absolutely loved the windows facing due east watching the sunrise over the lake each morning. The wildlife, the sounds, the quick access to everywhere.

Weekend getaway

The house was clean and could easily fit 4 people comfortably. A little beach area was nicely setup so you can get into the lake the only downside was the cane in front of the property obstructing the view of the lake. The manager was extremly nice and responded to messages in a timely manner. We had a good time.
