Lovely quiet and private cottages surrounded by rainforest. Birds and other native animals come right to the door. It was a wonderful and unique experience. A 10 minute easy walk to Lake Eacham. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves nature.

Lovely rainforest stay

Really enjoyable stay in fully furnished cottage right inside the rainforest. Many different birds and animals to see close up. A wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

Such a peaceful place among the rainforest. Waking to the chorus of varied birds is magical. The owners were so enthusiastic about there cottages and keen to pass on their bird knowledge. A wonderful experience.

Lovely rainforest stay

We had 2 lovely days here. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped. The breakfast hamper was great. The bed was comfortable and nice hot showers in the spacious bathroom. There is a handy laundry on-site We enjoyed sitting on the verandah watching the birds come in for the food we were given by the host. Victoria's Riflebirds, catbirds, honeyeaters and robins, amongst others, as well as musky-rat kangaroos and antechinus, all kept us entertained.

This is a very beautiful property deep in the rainforest. There are loads of animals you can feed and will visit your cottage. The staff are very friendly and helpful with all your needs.

Jenny John and Noodle (the dog) are excellent hosts. Explained the territory and animals likely to visit. Food to feed the animals is included. Will be going back again.

Wonderful location nestled in the rainforest with plenty of birds and animals to keep us company. It rained a lot of the time but that only added to the experience with the noise on the roof and the glistening rainforest foliage. Our beach themed cottage was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Our hosts were very friendly as was their dog Noodles. Whilst we didn’t need to light the fireplace we did as it just added to the atmosphere of the surrounding environment. Just down the road from Lake Eacham and within easy access to historic Yungaburra. Would certainly recommend the cabins.

A few nights in the mountains

A pleasant change from the Queensland coast. Our experience was heightened by getting so close to some of the birds of the area with the help of our hosts. The place is well located for touring the tablelands and our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Hiding away in a bush location suited us well.

Relaxing rainforest retreat!

Everything was just perfect! The welcome from John and Jenny when we arrived made us feel relaxed and welcome right from the start- and the place was just perfect. Everything had been thought of and provided from bubbles for the spa bath to a beautiful bottle of port to relax by the fire! Feeding the birds and friendly Animals became a relaxing daily ritual. We left feeling nourished and refreshed.and we will return! :-)

Fantastic location

Very clean, comfortable and well presented. Lovely location right in the rainforest. Plenty of wildlife at the door to watch. A real escape and very relaxing. Perfect getaway to recharge the battery. Excellent.
