Just back from a four night break. We stayed half board in a sea view room. Check in was great, Steven was so welcoming and gave the flavour of the hospitality we were shown throughout our stay. Our room was spotlessly clean with sliding door to a decent sized balcony overlooking the beautiful beach. A delight every morning to open the curtains to. Although we were half board we had decided before arrival that we would probably eat out a few times but the food in the hotel was so superb (and we are 'foodies!') we only ate out on the last night and to be honest we regretted it. I think the chef was Jimmy? he deserves a great handshake; he produced some wonderful food! A shout out to Taylor the drinks man. Such a pleasant young man whose company we enjoyed and his wine recommendations! All in all a very satisfied customer who will definitely be staying there again. Well done Golden Sands for an unforgettable stay!
We had a very enjoyable stay.We first visited Jersey 30 years ago on honeymoon but didn’t stay at this hotel. We were pleased we had chosen this hotel for our return visit. The Golden Sands Hotel is in a beautiful location.
A clean and welcoming hotel with friendly staff Right on the seafront with easy access to the beach and surrounding areas A regular bus service so no need to drive around the island just sit back and enjoy the scenery
Just returned from a 3 night break at the Golden Sands Hotel. Perfect location. Stunning views if St Brelades Bay. Room 210 was great! Balcony ideal for relaxing and soaking up the ambience!( or the drizzle!!). The staff are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble and they made you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. A special mention for Katie on reception..always smiling and very knowledgable. And she was from Burnley!! The breakfasts were very good especially the cooked to order specials. Prices in the bar were sensible compared to the other hotels . Would thoroughly recommend for a holiday. Our weather was poor but still managed coastal walks ( with cagoules!) to Corbiere and also the Smugglers. Compared to the other St Brelades' hotels it is less pretentious and is in the best location by far. LHorizon does not have glass balconies and has a long corridor downstairs which obscures the sea views. St Brelades has the road in front of it! By far the best of the three. Look forward to returning ! Excellent
Myself & my son had a break at the Golden Sands. It is in a perfect position right on the beach, The staff were amazing. Before we even travelled I telephoned asking for advice on restaurants etc, Katie on reception could not help enough. She is a real credit to the hotel and with all her assistance and the chats we had, felt like a real friend by the time we left! The bar staff were great too John and Ben, thank you. The man in charge at breakast lovely as was the breakfast. Housekeeping Eva was so very friendlyand helpful. I realise I am talking a lot about staff but they really do make a difference to your stay. The hotel is ideally situated and very close to restaurants like the Oyster box, Crab Shack and Pizza Express, right on the beach. A small shop and cafe next door aswell. The most beautiful, clean beach, with lots of watersports. Jersey is small so everywhere is accessable, we got cabs everywhere but would be easy to hire a car and get everywhere, Short journey from Airport and flight from Gatwick 50 minutes! Highly Recommend
A Truly beautiful hotel with outstanding views . Staff cannot do enough for you and the breakfast is amazing. Definitely will go back next year . Super value for a 4* hotel . Beautiful beach , Lovely places to eat and drink.
Excellent Service, great location, friendly and very professional staff. We spent 10 days in this hotel and enjoyed every day. The staff is well chosen and in any aspect professional. The location direct at the beach is amazing. Although there is no hotel-owned parking, the parkinson-lot in front of the hotel is more than convenient and adequat.
We stayed, as a family of 4, for a couple of nights over Easter and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautifully positioned on the beach, the weather was unfortunately rainy over Easter but on a sunny day it would be glorious. The rooms were clean and spacious even with 4 of us in one room. The breakfast was exceptionally good quality and there was a huge choice and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel also has a selection of beach toys on offer for the children to borrow which was a thoughtful idea as it saved the usual holiday purchase of buckets and spades that would then be left! I would say the hotel is more suited to couples rather than families with young children although would hasten to add that this is not because we were made to feel unwelcome with the children but just because there was no pool or children’s activities.
Fabulous hotel in the most amazing location, right on the beach front. The bay is lovely and the feeling of tranquillity is second to none. Our room was really comfortable and well serviced. Staff are really helpful and attentive. Our experience with the food served by room service left a lot to be desired but in every other way this hotel ticks all the boxes.
Nice location and service. Great hotel team. Special easter activities for families. Good quality breakfast. Clean and big room. Hotel is in front of the beach and although not in the main town it was close to banks, supermarkets and nice restaurants.
