I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Meadowlands Area by IHG. The property was clean, comfortable, and well-kept, and the overall experience was enjoyable. The staff on site were pleasant, and the location worked perfectly for my trip. However, I had to deduct one star because of the pricing experience. I booked through Expedia and tried contacting the hotel by phone and email to confirm the total actual cost before arrival, but I wasn’t able to reach anyone for clarification. When I checked in, the final price—including taxes, service charges, and the security deposit—was higher than what was listed on Expedia. It would be extremely helpful if guests could know the accurate, all-inclusive total cost upfront, so there are no surprises at check-in. Aside from that, it was a very good stay. I’d consider returning once the communication and pricing transparency improve.

My stay at this hotel for one night was excellent. They had a solid complimentary breakfast and 24/7 coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, which I was looking for. The shower was also great. A good strong stream with steady hot water. I also requested for a later check out time, which they were able to accommodate. The beds were comfortable as well. I would definitely chose this hotel for another overnight stay. The only thing was that the pool was on the smaller side and was not heated when I went.
