Gîte les Bousseaux - Jalogny

Louisa & Roland open the doors to you of a delightful authentic 18th century "winegrowers' house", carefully restored, steeped in history (former wine & agricultural farmhouse), nestled in a quiet dead end street, on the edge of a charming little alley & edge of a mini pasture (welcome peaceful sheep in season), in the very heart of a picturesque hamlet full of charm, "old village" perched on the hillside & south facing slope on a dominating riprap "belvedere" & "panoramic balcony " the heart of the town of Jalogny. Perfectly preserved, rich in beautiful traditional residences rehabilitated as well as an elegant listed Romanesque church from the 11th century, this former wine-growing village benefits from a splendid rural and preserved natural setting, nestled in the hollow of a bucolic valley in the heart of the Cluny countryside combining gentle meadows bocages, vineyard hillsides & beautiful wild forests. Totally relaxing setting & site. Very comfortable cottage. Warm country character with contemporary accents enhanced by careful heritage restoration & the totally exotic soul of the place (original stone wall lined with niches with its stone & wood lintels). Lots of charm & character. Cozy & ultra cozy atmosphere. Pleasant enclosed flowered garden opening onto the neighboring meadow, with an exposed & shaded terrace, completed by a large enclosed courtyard (with veranda / covered terrace), also carefully flowered & planted. Sublime unobstructed view of the surrounding countryside including the Mâconnais & northern Beaujolais mountains. Magnificent landscapes. Composition: Semi-detached village house. Electric heating. Raised ground floor (3 steps + half interior level): living room-kitchen-lounge (double convertible BZ sofa 130x190cm), 1 bedroom (double bed 160x200cm), bathroom (shower), separate toilet. Sublime landscapes and panoramic views just 4 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny (all amenities on site, including supermarkets)! A charming, authentic 18th-century "winemaker's house," steeped in history and carefully restored – complete with a small veranda and a pleasant enclosed garden – nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac in the heart of a picturesque little village brimming with charm, perched on a hillside overlooking the verdant Grosne valley. In the heart of the preserved Clunisois countryside, a magnificent hilly setting mixing bucolic meadows, vineyards & beautiful wild forests, nestled in the hollow of a vast protected natural area & classified as a "Natura 2000 Zone" (for its very rich floristic & faunistic ecosystems), neighboring the "Green Valleys" of South Burgundy and the "Little Switzerland of the Mâconnais" (splendid territory of the Upper Clunisois), facing the mountains of the Mâconnais sheltering the sumptuous landscape jewel of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson labeled "Grand Site de France" (located 22 km away) as well as the northern Beaujolais massif (vast marked mountain biking area to discover). An exceptionally privileged location bordering the vineyards of the Mâconnais and the "Burgundy Wine Route" (including the famous "Val Lamartinien," named after the area's illustrious resident), not far from the Beaujolais vineyards (the first vineyard in the world to be recognized as a UNESCO Global Geopark), on the Romanesque Churches Trail, the GR76 long-distance hiking trail connected to the famous "Cluny Way" (ViaCluny) and the legendary "Monks' Way" (once linking the abbeys of Cîteaux and Cluny), several marked "greenways" (a vast network of similar paths for hiking or mountain biking in the area), and 4 km from the "Great Loop of Southern Burgundy" Green Way (and its remarkable "Bois Clair Tunnel," accessible 7.5 km away, the longest former railway tunnel in France open to a Green Way at 1.6 km). Located on the "Cycloroute71" (Saône-et-Loire cycling route), 4 km from the renowned GTM mountain bike circuit, certified "FFC Mountain Bike" (Grand Tour of the Southern Burgundy Massif connected to a vast network of identical marked trails crisscrossing the massif in a star pattern), and 25 km from the Voie Bleue (along the Saône River). A prime location at the crossroads of the Mâconnais, Beaujolais, Clunisois-Tournugeois (designated a "Land of Art and History") and Charolais-Brionnais (also designated a "Land of Art and History") regions.
