My room faced the main road and I could see the traffic was jammed through the night. Do cater more time for your journey time. Our associate stayed across the main road at Sultan Hotel, which can reach by 15mins by car but that took a good 30mins in the evening. As the traffic was bad, so dinner was in the hotel restaurant, which served both international and local options. This is the same restaurant for the buffet breakfast and the food was decent. Both the room and the bathroom were big but the room lighting was too dark for my liking. I had thought I heard the intermittent creaking sound from the bed at night but roommate said the noise was from the bathroom. Believe that the hotel had seen better times as the lobby still retained traces of its old grandeur. Probably I had expected too much from a IHG / Crowne Plaza hotel.

I stayed here for a night during my business trip in Jakarta where I found the hotel was tiring in terms of room ambience, furniture and surprisingly They still use the old TV set with a poor channels and picture quality. For the price at 2 million/night, your guest deserve to have much better room and facilities. I have mentioned my experience upon check out and They said the hotel is under renovation now which hopefully able to provide a much better experience soon.

I am an IHG Spire member and choose my loyalty there based on service, value for money and respect. I received none of that on my recent stay at Crown Plaza Jakarta. * They charged my credit card for the full amount twice which they explained after 3 days of unhappy emails as a block. No hotel I have ever stayed with in the IHG chain charges Spire members twice, nor any hotel when they are staying in a suite. You get charged a room fee and a service fee, then the bill is adjusted up or down. You don't get charged twice. * Their hotel tv channel promotes 1/2 price drinks at the lobby bar after 5pm, only they will charge you the full price and then argue that their bill is correct * There is a very average club room upstairs for those that pay for a more expensive stay, which is ok, except that no one will serve you in it, so you have to go downstairs to get yourself a drink, but then pay double the price advertised on their hotel tv * Even in a suite the hotel staff won't replace your soaps and toiletries daily, simply leave the 1/4 remaining bottle there for you to use - how cheap are you Crowne? After 4 emails shared with management their conclusion to my displeasure? 500 IHG points and a buffet lunch but not to correct the bills. I won't ever be staying here again and I suggest no one does. I will be taking my displeasure up further with higher IHG management.

I stayed here mainly for its location which is very central and good for the meetings I had. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was old but large and fine for what I needed. Bed was comfortable and shower was powerful. Couldn’t get the TV to work though. Breakfast was a good spread and nice and the lobby was a good place to meet. There is a shopping mall about 3/4 mins walk around the corner which is good for food etc. It took around 1 hour to get to/from the airport (both times late at night).

My initial concerns were addressed and hence I am not commenting on the dissatisfaction which I experienced at the time of check-in. I was here on a Business Trip. Housekeeping and Wi-Fi was good. But it was a huge embarrassment when the restaurant asked me to pay (and not add in the room) as my advance had exhausted. I usually pay the entire room tariff for the complete stay at the time of check-in and the balance I pay at the time of check-out. I being a Platinum Elite member, this is the least I can expect the hotel to trust me on. But I had to pay at the restaurant, and this was not something I liked. Having said this, I also thank them for the room upgrade I received

This used to be one of the nicest hotels in Jakarta. Eventually when I came, the entire hotel was being renovated. Nevertheless I realized the hotel was constructed in 1996 and only in 2018 they renovate it. The impact: no swimming pool, poor temporary gym and surprisingly the best room has so many visible damages; plus not sound proofs from neighboring rooms. Price charged for this? €100. For the same price, I should have chosen other brands in Jakarta offering much better value. As a compensation of my unpleasant stay, the hotel offered 250 points which are nothing at all as a welcome drink replacement is 400 points.

The IHG never stops me surprising me. This was my 7th visit to Jakarta but first to this old property of IHG. The hotel is pretty old and located in the Sudirman Business District, Jakarta. For those who are fresh to Jakarta, remember the city has the worse ever traffic conditions. Perhaps one of the worst in the world. Here, the key is finding the location right. So this location is extremely strategic and excellent for both business and leisure. Well, that doesn’t mean you have no traffic. It is much less engaged and accessible from other location to be specific. Coming to the hotel, it is a property that makes you feel a royal touch in almost everything. Those who loves to stay in the typical modern state-of-the-art business hotels, this is not for you. The decor of the hotel makes you feel a bit nostalgic, a remembrance of the past heritage property. However, I have a small complain about your bathrooms. The taps are almost uncontrollable and splashes water with extreme force. At times, you would feel whether you really need so much water. I hope from the water conservation front, the management should take a look at it cautiously. Let me state my experience categorically! Rooms - 4/5 Bathrooms - 2.5/5 Lift - 3/5 Decor - 5/5 Carpet on the floors - 4/5 Buffet breakfast - 4/5 Buffet dinner - 3.5/5 Room dining - 5/5 Service - 4/5 Location - 4/5 I would rather take a little time to state my only disappointment. I expected the service to be a little prompt. The dinner buffet at Beranda was ok! The mix was not really something I would die for. I expected a little more variants of local delicacies which were missing. But overall a memorable stay. Will be back soon!

First time stayed here. The room was outdated, but still comfy and clean. All the staff were super friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The bathroom also was large, nice looking and well maintained. Though, they currently don't have swimming pool. But overall, good stay!

The hotel has just started a two-year renovation process, which is long overdue. Expect to find work in progress, shabby carpets and musty old rooms. The lobby is nice and the staff are very obliging and helpful. But there are much better options for your stay in Jakarta, at least until renovations are finished in late 2019.

First time stay found a very central location. Good value for money. Nicely upgraded for Elite member. Spent most time in the Club Lounge for my Business. Very friendly & helpfull Club Lounge staff hence no chance to meet the management. Will be back for my next Business trip.
