Villas of Amelia Island Plantation

Omni has done a fantastic job of incorporating hotel, villas, and restaurants seamlessly with the natural beauty of the Island. The bike trails, walking trails, and especially golf courses were totally in harmony with nature and it was refreshing, relaxing, and rennovating

Shabby room for deluxe price. Poor shuttle service. No maid service. Two days of coffee for a 3 day stay. No microwave.

We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary there and were very pleased. We took our bikes and rode around the grounds and the island. Had an anniversary dinner at the Veranda restaurant and were very happy with the service and the meal.

Rough start, our 3 bedroom villa oceanview was out of service. Given a 3 bedroom house near golf course. I spoke to Eva, manager and she gave us food credit and upgraded us to a gorgeous 3 bedroom oceanfront penthouse. View was beautiful but balcony in my bedroom faced the marshland. I would highly recommend a car rental for visiting downtown and off site restaurants. Resort eating was delicious but quite expensive.

Room was a dump and in such an inconvenient location that I had to pay a $75 per day upcharge for a livable room.

It was a nice hotel by the beach, but they failed to tell us the pool was closed outside of Tirtle Dunes. I chose this site so I would not have to shuttle to the hotel pool

We had a wonderful time, the place was amazing, we stayed in the Beachwood Villas which was beautiful. Can't say enough about this place and all of the staff were brilliant

Nice hotel on the beach. Great amenities and restaurants!

The staff was amazing. Emily from concierge helped us out tremendously!

Beautiful resort with staff that go beyond all expectations. We felt totally pampered. With so many available options for shopping, dining, playing there is no need to leave the resort. Every adventure you would like to try is right at your fingertips.

Checked in and was asked if we wanted to upgrade our room, we did pay an extra fee but it was worth it, upgrade was oceanfront with a full kitchen and living room area. We stayed in the Villas at Sandcastle, nice pool area and walked over to resort to check out the pool there and bar/restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The view was fantastic, the Omni staff were great. The room however is old and in desperate need of repair and updating. I found out that the villas are privately owned and it's up to the individual owner to update them. The room is dingy, wood floor was splintering in spots, tub was stained, just overall gross. There were also some bugs! That did me in. I think we even brought one home with us. At least I hope it was only one! We stayed in the Sandcastle Villas. Some of the other villas looked newer from the outside but I did not see the rooms. I would not go back to Sandcastle again. Maybe one of the newer looking ones.

Everything was at your fingertips. All you had to do was pick up the phone and it was delivered. I will absolutely return.

Great property. Great location. Excellent beach and pool.

The first problem was that the battery was dead in the electronic lock. I replace batteries on a schedule - they do not (according to the maintenance man). I then took the bucket and found the ice machine; it did not work. The second night I woke up warm and in-spite of having the A/C set at 72, the room was 76 degrees. The A/C did not work. Although not a problem, the TV was an old CRT type TV. The hotel is in need of upgrades. We stayed in a Villa, which was nearly a mile from the restaurants, but they provided a shuttle, which "ran every 10 minutes". Reminds me of India where "2 minutes" is a short period of time, and "10 minutes" means a longer period of time. Waiting out in the cold the first night waiting for the shuttle was not enjoyable.

They gave a complimentary upgrade to a 3 room, 4 bath villa with view of ocean. It was outstanding!! The place is spread out but it has everything. The island has lots to do.

The room was dirty with used towels and trash under the bed from previous occupant. Housekeeping only comes around once every three days when you book at the villas. Internet service is lousy and takes hotel staff forever to answer phone. Rooms at villas are not as advertised and definitely not worth spending your vacation at. Staff at restaurants are angry and food and drinks are inconsistent in quantity and quality from day to day. Private pools are dirty and unkept.
