The cleanliness and clean smell were a wonderful first impression. All of the games and activities were enough to keep 11 adults and 5 kids entertained for a few days.

Very nice house with an easy walk to the water. We enjoyed the hot tub and game room because we had a rain day. The owner warned us and he was correct, bring lots of bumpers for your boat. The dock is in a spot where lots of inconsiderate boaters cut a corner close to shore and make lots of waves.

We had such a wonderful stay at A Shore Thing! Check-In was super easy. The house was clean and comfortable. Terry was quick to respond with our questions. The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved playing pool. We rented a boat and that was super fun. The lake was perfect for swimming and we found the cliff jump right around the corner from the house. We enjoyed the fire pit outside and the gas fire near the jacuzzi. So much to do and perfect location on the lake. If ever we are back in Knoxville we will be sure to rent here again!

Had a wonderful stay here with my family! Had a small issue with the fridge when we arrived but the host was very quick to resolve our issue! There is a lot of boat traffic that goes by the dock and they don’t really care to slow down which causes a lot of wake to come into the dock so just be aware of this location wise when booking and planning to dock a personal boat. Overall wonderful stay and would stay again!

Relaxing get away

Had a fantastic, relaxing vacation. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. We used the pool table and ping pong more than I expected. The free use of kayaks was an added bonus! Rented a pontoon boat from the marina across the lake. Paid a small fee to have it delivered directly to the dock. Our college aged kids got TN fishing licenses for the trip and enjoyed fishing off the dock. Loved our stay!

No steps to dock...

Absolutely amazing property but beware...no steps to dock should say no stairs to dock, lol. It is a steep incline both ways and for us out of shape older adults it was a bit rough. lol We found comfort sitting in the hot tub after swimming and climbing back up to the house. We taught the kids to play pool, ping pong and foosball!! We ate in dinner every night and enjoyed a movie night where we introduced the kids to 'The Sandlot!' They loved it!

Had a great time on the Lake, house is beautiful.

House is beautiful! Kitchen is stocked better than my own home. Beds are comfortable, the ice machine was great! Living room is comfortable, and plenty of seating inside and out.

Perfect family getaway!

A Shore Thing was the perfect spot of our family gathering. Gorgeous views from everywhere especially relaxing in the hot tub. All the kids, ages 4-13, loved playing on the rocks and looking for shells. Everything including the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. Would definitely love to stay again!

Just amazing

Place is amazing. Great job by the owners. Location is not too hard to find. Places was filled with everything we needed. Hot tub, grill, everything. The dock!!!! Wow wow!! Wish we had a boat. Did some swimming and diving, did some fishing. Canoeing is there too. Everyone was super pleased. Thank you. Will be back if allowed 🤣🤠

Wonderful friends and family vacation.

We had a great time in A Shore Thing for our week long vacation. The house was set up well for entertaining both the kids and the adults. The boat dock access to the marina across the lake was very convenient. I would just caution bringing a larger boat and getting it into the dock. Ours was 25’ and had to stick out the back a little because of the waves during the day.

Good House for families

Loved all the games in the house, pool table, fuzzball, ping pong, corn hole. View of the lake was fantastic. Tons of windows and sunshine coming from outside. Beds were comfortable. The house was pretty dusty near the large windows as I don't think the house had been occupied recently but the rest of the house was clean. The basement is pretty cool in the winter. Loved the gas fireplace and firepit outside; very convenient. The walk back up from the dock was a bit of a hike, but much easier than other houses that we have stayed on at the same lake. Would rent again for the right group.

Lots of entertainment for the entire family

Our entire family enjoyed the property and all the amenities available. We were able to cook Thanksgiving dinner with ease and enjoy the peaceful and serene location. We had a small hiccup with one of the vehicles but friendly neighbors assisted us graciously.

This property is as advertised. Home was clean, and well taken care of. Plenty of room for 3 couples and a 7th wheel. The views from the back deck are amazing!

Checks all the Boxes

We had a great vacay with friends and family here! Plenty of room in the house for our large group. Kids loved the game tables, Wifi worked good for those of us who still had to work a little each morning. Covered boat dock was great cause it rained hard every night and our stuff stayed dry. Just a couple things you might want to know, the advertisement for no steps to the lake is accurate, but the pics make it look like an easy walk to the water, this was a big selling point for us when looking at houses to rent. It's actually very steep and quite the workout, we all felt like we had been on a stairmaster afterwards coming back up to the house and would have chosen steps if we had to do it over again. In the house, we could have used another ice maker as one alone can't keep up with a large group. We had to go buy ice everyday at a marina. The boat docks could have used some permanent boat bumpers. Overall tho, it was a great vacation!
