We spent a week in Banjole at the end of August/start of September 2017. We arrived after the designated check in time, but the staff were very accommodating and waited up for us. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were instantly impressed with the standard of the hotel in comparison to the reasonable price, and our room was spacious and clean. There were always plenty of sunbeds so there was no need to get up early to reserve them, and the pool was reasonably sized although a little cold! We decided to take an excursion to Kamenjak, and the excursion man was incredible- very helpful and friendly. In fact, most of the staff would go out of their way to help you. The only complaint we would have regarding the staff was that the woman in the ice cream cafe was incredibly rude and not at all welcoming, which somewhat soured our experience. The hotel beach is small and private, but if you're after something a little bigger, walk to Centinera beach which is just around the corner. They also do SUP for only 40kn so don't waste money doing this elsewhere, but would definitely recommend it as it was an incredible experience. The food in the hotel was delicious and they also do takeaway, but it was a little expensive and the food was standard- Pizza etc. If you're looking for traditional Croatian cuisine, we would really recommend Konoba Sidro which was a short walk away. Both Pula and Medulin were taxi rides away, however we would recommend hiring a car if you are able to. Pula was great but Medulin was a little too touristy for us- very gimicky! However there are lots of great and affordable restaurants. We also went on the semisubmarine which is definitely worth doing if you have kids. In terms of nightlife, there isn't much going on in September but in August there's a summer club on the beach in Medulin. Also, the bar next to the hotel (Paltana Bar) is much cheaper and the cocktails are much better. What would really top off the hotel experience is a shuttle bus to the airport and possibly Pula. All in all we had a great time and would definitely return to this hotel.
This is a nice and big place. It has a main building with several surrounding buildings on the compound. They have a nice pool deck, a row of shops and cafes all right on the water front. There is a place you can rent a boat from to go explore the sea. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment. It was a good size with a full kitchen and a great balcony with a view of the water. The only bad thing about this place is that how far away it is from down town Pula.
We stayed 3 nights in this apartment "hotel". Very expensive without any services (cleaning etc). Pool area was on the second level, not next too the beach. The hotel was ok but not worth the money we paid. + Very nice boat rental next to hotel.
Room was good with two bed rooms and nice view. It's an apartamentos, no hotel (no cleaning, toilet paper etc. included). Breakfast was very weak and expensive (10€ per person). Not much to see around so car was very useful.
This Was a disspointing hotel, small pool, no pool bar to get icecream and cold drinks. Its not at sealevel as pictures shows, it is on 2 floor. You had to go to 1st floor in the litle shop to buy Food and drinks and bring to the pool area, and it gets warm really fast. We didnt spend av Day by the pool we rather went to the Beach. Poor housekeeping, we were staying 1 week and no cleaning in this week we only got clean towels after 4 days! And You have to buy Youre own toilet paper if You run out. Staff could be more service minded. Nice personell and food in restaurant and cafe del mar 😊 this helped to make our stay feel better. Despite this had a nice week in Pula, we enjoyed the litle Beach by the hotel.
Ok hotel nothing special. Location requires a car in our view. Convenient access to Pula and Kamenjak (nice), rooms spacious, big balcony, could have been cleaner though. Big bathroom. The most appalling thing was the evening "entertainment" which went on prety much every nite until 11 and was both very loud and very annoying. Hotel "quite please" time was 10PM...
We are staying here now and find this hotel clean and well managed. On check in we were given a nice apartment with sea view, two bathrooms which is very convenient for five people, big terrace, room is clean. Some issues were relatively quickly fixed. For example, they have changed cooking hob in two days. Added some kitchen ware etc. The towels and sheets changed regularly without reminders. Staff is very helpful and responsive. The swiming pool is good, the beach is not - the one close to the hotel has unusually dirty water, very uncommon to Adreatic sea, probably because of the location in lagoon, it is better to use nearby beach, 10 min walk.
We have been there for 1 week trip arranged by Neckermann. The apartment was quite comfortable and consisted bedroom, bathroom, living room and balcony. Shortly speaking as an apartment it wasn't bad, but if we are talking about 4* hotel, then it wasn’t good either. For example the rooms were not daily cleaned by default, and final cleaning which we had guaranteed by Neckermann hasn’t included washing dishes or disposing of garbage. Moreover the towels are being replaced only once per week, but toilet paper is not, so we needed to buy it ourselves. To have a comfort stay I recommend to buy an ear plugs because it is very noisy !!! The beds are next to the entrance, so you can hear every sound of closing door which btw. is very loud, because you need slam the door to close them. You can also hear every step and word said on the corridor. I don't recommend a BB option, because you can buy breakfast voucher on place for 10 EUR per person and will regret it within few days. The problem is that there is no diversity at all and for the coffee you can have only a croissants. During 1 week stay the menu hasn’t changed even once. The only exception was watermelon - hurray! ...but probably only 1 fruit, because after several minutes it was already finished and waiter informed us that they don't have anything more... really?! From sweets there were only a pancakes, but they were baked by the machine, so the queues and awaiting time were very long. I would recommend to take a breakfast at hotel maximum few times, and rest eat either outside or just do it yourself in kitchen. The location is average, so for sightseeing it's the best to have an own car, especially that the best places to visit are away of several kilometers (e.g. Kamenjak, Brijuni, even Pula). The closest beach is also one of the worst around the neighborhood (dirty and full of the fishing boats). But the water in main swimming pool was even worst... you could not see your fingertips not to mention feet... Main positives: + nice rooms with bedroom, bathroom, living room and balcony included + well equipped apartment (fully functional kitchen) + free parking (underground and around the hotel) + animations for kids and adults Main negatives: - Very noisy (thin walls, not sealed door, loud on corridors) - Breakfasts - Room service - Dirty water in swimming pool - Air-conditioning controlled only centrally
Really nice place. Not fancy but you don´t expect fancy. Hotel was fairly clean and quiet. Stuff was really friendly and helpful restaurant was okay. There are lots of things that could be better like everywhere but why being picky and grumpy when you can enjoy and relax. For this price you can hardly get better...
Well what can I say .....just came back from this hotel we visited early September 2016 and all we've thought about is going back. When I read the reviews was a bit worried as we have 2 small children and wanted an easy experience. Check in was a bit of a nightmare I would recommend you take an afternoon flight as you can't pay for early check in so when got there at 11 we then had to wait around till 4 and we'd been travelling since 3 in the morning so was ready to relax. But the hotel offered us a place to store our bags and use of all facilities while we waited with no extra charge. When ready to check in the lady we dealt with couldn't do enough for us and was full of information when we asked questions. Our room was in block c sea with an amazing view of the coast . Nice clean fresh room bed was Really comfortable. Kitchen had everything going you need to make quick meals . Hotel was lovely our children loved the pool spent most the days there . The pizza in the restaurant downstairs is really good and you can take up to your room is found reasonable priced from 60 to 70 kuna a pizza and more than enough for 1 . There is a shop downstairs as well offers pastry and bread which are fresh . Ice cream parlour which is also a bar . And the entertainment for children is really good the kids loved evening dancing and games . We didn't stay out to late as all the swimming and walking children were wrecked by 8.30.the walks are a must you can walk through an eco forest of and the views are amazing . And there's many places to sunbath on the rocks as you walk through ...beach shoes are a must as lots of stones and no sand that we could see. All i can say is highly recommended and we're going again next year that's how much we loved it . Hope this helps.
