Great house, it was in a wonderful location, being wild dunes of course! We loved the space, it was great with kids. We have a truck so even though the beach drive isn’t walking distance we were able to load up and park it. The only thing that was frustrating with the house was there was only a limited number of toilet papers, paper towels and the water pressure was less than sub par. Wish that was communicated so we could have prepared better. The second knob in the master shower didn’t work at all.
When we first booked several months ago, Robin was awesome. I only spoke to her once, but she was very polite. Unfortunately the day we arrived, our first phone conversation was odd. She didn’t give me the warm and welcoming I’d expected. We spent a lot of money to stay at her place (we’d just driven all the way down/ were excited) and it didn’t feel right. I told her my name and our eta, because she had emailed me requesting it. She called back with an immediate “what is your house number”. There was no hi, hello how are you. She was talking to me about how many packages my group had mailed to the house. It was 3 and it seemed to have been very frustrating for them because they did not have the guest name on the reservation matching the package. Understood and I was more than apologetic, she was abrasive. Another lady called me and told me she couldn’t meet us and gave us instructions on how to enter without her. Cool great!! I apologized to her to about the packages and she was very nice and no problem we don’t mind. Great!!!!
Well then we get to the golf cart issue. Miscommunication on my end I’m sure. I checked the yes to a golf cart but I was told by the other lady we had no reservation for it. Ok no problem let’s add it for the price it says on your listing , nope it’s more and she verified it with robin. Btw it’s still says that price in 3 locations on the website right now. Ok fine, not honoring your advertised price- we were stunned and decided to go without.
I think they must have been upset with us after that because we never heard from anyone. The second ice maker never worked and all we got was a “it does work”. Seriously? There was an issue with the recycling. Never addressed it just ignored my only text.
I would probably not stay here again and my house mates agreed. The communication was less than I would expect for the amount we paid to stay here. It’s a shame because the house was awesome!!!
