TL;DR - It's fine for the price. Submitting personal information to a 3rd party was required but not disclosed in advance. No pool key, despite "shared pool" in description. Longer version - For the price, this was good enough for my family. The house is spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed for a week-long stay. Almost everything was as described, but I have a few objections to note. First, after paying for our stay, the owner messaged me to tell me that I would be required to submit personal information to a 3rd party. I understand the reason for requirement, but it should have been disclosed before I paid. I reached out to Vrbo support, but they told me I could either do what the owner requested or cancel for 50% refund, so those were my options. (As a side note, Vrbo support lost all credibility in my mind. This was our first Vrbo experience, and may be our last.) I still feel violated by what happened, and I considered escalating the issue, but we decided to move forward with the trip anyway. The other issue was the pool. There was no pool key in the house. We looked everywhere. I messaged the owner multiple times, and they always sent flowery messages back promising to help find the key, but they never did. I strongly suspect the messages were all AI-generated. I decided not to waste my whole vacation talking to the owner, so we had no pool key for the entire stay. The stay was fine, but I'd go somewhere else next time.
