Renovated Barn Conversion on the edge of the Shiskine Valley

Beautifully renovated barn conversion. Spacious, airy yet cosy. Perfect place for friends or family to get together. Five minutes drive to Blackwaterfoot where you'll find local shops, golf course, riding stables, swimming pool and sandy beach.
Mill Barn is central to travelling anywhere on the Island. The main ferry port in Brodick is less than 20 minutes drive away.
If you are bringing bikes there is a lockable shed in the garden for storage.

This Barn Conversion has the lounge upstairs overlooking the kitchen. All other rooms are on the ground floor. It has a wet room with toilet & sink and a shower room with toilet and sink. Four bedrooms and an office/study room where you can sit and work on your laptop connecting to the wi fi. There are shelves with various books, games and dvds for those wet days. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer, so you don t have to go home to a load of washing. There is a large garden to the front and side which is child safe. In the garden there is a picnic bench for your use. In the shed are garden chairs. There is space in the shed to store bikes or golf clubs.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and 2 bathrooms, and there's space to spread out with 4 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a Smart TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fenced private yard, and an electric kettle.

Fab time in Arran
Great base to discover Arran from. Had everything we needed in the cottage, well stocked kitchen, washing machine for washing all those swimming costumes etc. well worth a stay 😁

Another excellent stay!
This is our second time staying at Mill barn and it won't be the last. Ruth is an excellent host and the property was spotless. Its got a lot of charm and character to it and is in a great location short drive from the beach at blackwaterfoot, a visit to King's caves or bellvue farm. Another excellent holiday with the kids. Can't recommend this place enough!

Fab new year stay
Very easy to find and great communication from Ruth before we went meant I felt really well prepared for my trip. The barn is very spacious and well resourced along with being comfortable and lovely for a cosy winter stay - we did lots of cooking and board games and it was perfect. Big thanks to Ruth for providing all the necessary equipment for taking our baby too it was great. We had some lovely walks and runs on Arran and Blackwaterfoot the local town/village has good shops including the bakery! Probably the only downside is that walking from the front door involves quite a bit of walking on road before reaching a path but with a car the options were great!

Fantastic, spacious property in central location
We had a fantastic time staying at this property for a week. It's well located in Shiskine - a great location to access most of the island (assuming you have a car). Very close to Blackwaterfoot which has a few local amenities as well as a lovely beach for walking our dog. The kitchen is very well-equipped for cooking from scratch, which we did most nights. The property is extremely roomy - the photos really don't do justice to how spacious the property actually is! Everything you need is provided, washing machine, towels, etc. Ruth was just fantastic as a host, totally the right level of communication. I would highly recommend a stay here and will certainly be back for our next visit to Arran as a group!

Fantastic Holiday Home. Highly recommended.
After many many years of staying in holiday homes this is definitely one of our best experiences. Mill barn is fantastic. Top quality fixtures snd fittings, spotlessly clean, everything one could imagine in the kitchen and more. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. With ten year old twins and a six year old we made great use of the study for crafts etc. The upstairs lounge was lovely and relaxing. Thank you so much Ruth for sharing your lovely home.
