I booked this hotel a month ago. This was my second visit to Isla de Coche and my first visit to this hotel, the first time I stayed in Punta Blanca hotel from the hotel brand Sunsol. We checked in at 2:30 pm and checked out at 3:30 pm. We lasted exactly one hour in this place, and was time enough to know that I had to run the hell out of there. First of all I want to mention that I am from Venezuela and live in Venezuela, so I am aware about the extremely difficult situation that my country is going through, having said this, my expectation are low, very low. This place is beyond any level of tolerance anyone can have. The infracstructure condition is unacceptable. The walk from the front lobby to the room was enough to disappoint anyone, the gardens are absolutely neglected, the excuse is the lack of clean water to the island, again I am Venezuelan so I understand, it would truly be a waste of the precious liquid to water the plants. When we arrived at the room it was obvious that it urgently needed painting which gave a very bad first impression, the AC wasn’t on so it was scoulding hot, the pillows were without pillow case and the bed covers were disgusting, the general conditions of the room reflected abandonment. I still wanted to give this place a chance so we went to see both pools. Both of them were filled only half way (again lack of water) but not only that, the water was filthy and green. But to be honest what pushed me to call my travel agent and beg to be changed from this place was the extremely loud reggeton music they were playing in the pool, loud enough that you were unable to carry on a conversation anywhere in the pool, loud enough that you could hear it cristal clear from the beach inside the water 50 mts away from the hotel. Despite all these the staff were great (except the person who decides the volume and what type of music they play of course) they do the best they can under the poor condition of this place. After complaining they gave us a different room which was in better condition than the first one, the AC was on, the fridge was new, they even placed two towels in the shape of swans with rose petals in bed (?), unfortunately this wasn't enough to compensate the overall condition of this place. I didn’t stay enough to taste the food and drinks, because I had the fortune to be able to change to the other hotel of Isla de Coche, Punta Blanca, is next door and the pool is perfect, the gardens are green, the staff is wonderful... i'll write a review about it later.
This hotel is in a perfect setting on isla Coche which is 15 minutes boat ride from El Yaque on Margarita Island. It is all inclusive, food (fixed times), drinks (including alcohol), entertainment (bingo, dancing, Karaoke), pool, sunbeds, towels (for overnight guests). Excellent White sand beaches - flawless setting. Great for a day trip which can be purchased in El Yaque for 18,000 bolivars (around $20) including transfers from el Yaque. online bookings to stay at the hotel completly confuse the staff I paid $130 for one night online - this is actually more expensive than paying there on the day! so I had paid more than anyone else in the hotel. I was given a room furthest away from the beach and the hotel facilities. Logic does not apply here. There was hardly anyone staying at the hotel as it was low season. The rooms were lovely - huge bed. The safe was not attached to the wall and could be lifted up and taken away - which defeats the point. The bar and entertainment staff were really nice and did a good job. They could really do with a shop on site to sell snacks, even just put it in the bar.
Me and my girlfriend expended a weekend there and I gotta say it was just great, amazing people, beautiful beach, the food is great, the shows are great .... I'm looking forward to go again soon... definitely a must-go place
A Family friendly atmosphere, clean rooms, good food, open bar, great staff, well price all inclusive and safe place to be. I recommend the island it's Beautiful, peaceful... I will go back next year loved it!!!p Isla Hermosa, Limpia, segura con gente amable espero regresar el año próximo.
We have been to Coche Paradise for 10 Days in the begin of January to enjoy the ample Conditions for Kitesurfing on the Beachfront, thinking that we had no other option to stay. The Rooms are quite big, our bed was full of black hairs and even after a requested change of beddings, nothing happened. The remote Controll for the Aircon which was on Fridgemode were not able to find so it took like an hour and 3 requests until we had a remote control. The Food was wayway under mediocre, not to say pretty bad at all and basically everyday the same. Fancy Chewy Beef, fried-to-death Fish and sometimes Chicken?. The fried-to-death Fish is an everyday safe bet, everything else just sometimes. The dining localities were not the cleanest at all and you need to protect your Food from all the Birds (and their poo) that fly around inside the dining rooms. The Breakfast was the only bit of Light seen here: Omelettes to be made on request, several Fruits, some artificial "Juices". Everything is served on plastic, which is, when it comes to drinks kind of annoying: Beers and Cocktails out of one-way plastic Cups! The Pool was basically NOT usable for us due to it's greenish color and our fear of serious health issues. Service quality was typical and as expected: non existend. Everything takes hours, staff seems to be bored and not interested in serving guests at all. Want to kill some time on the internet while waiting? Forget it! The Wifi is not usable at all! Compared to the fact, that this place charges an "official" Rate of 240USD/Night/Room, and even if you pay the innofficial Rate it is absolutely not worth the money, nor is it "country standard". We are long-term travellers trough south america, have been around venezuela for about 4 weeks, slept in places for 5USD that were cleaner and had a better service and food. This Place claims to be a 4* Destination – in my opinion it deserves not a single tiny star at all. Overall it has been the worst experience during our whole venezuela Trip.
all inclusive hotel. food is good for the price, good venezuelan food with nice flavour. drinks are no soo good but you can hav all you want, very cheap spirit, beers are ok. is you are looking for a litte paradise this is your hotel, in front of the beach with nice view and perfect wind for kitesurf
I read all the reviews, they were too old!!! We JUST visited Coche Paradise and really liked it! Went for 2 days, and wanted to stay more! The beach is beautiful, amazing landscapes, the most beautiful sunset Ever!! The rooms were perfect, the 2 pools were fine too....chairs in the beach are in perfect conditions and the food you have variety to choose...The only thing can not say was perfect was the drinks, we're cheap. Here are some pictures
This is hotel, a fine example of what you obtain when you are stuck in a competition free-zone: Basically, a four star ersatz resort, with the service and dinning experience of a Calcutta flop-house - and that's giving said flop-house a bad rep. Here's the gist, boys and girls, you have only two resorts on the island, aside from that, its a DMZ area. Diddly-scat is in abundance here. Nice tropical beaches, white sand, a snorkeling tour where the main attraction - a starfish - is in high demand, and stop counting. The town: the backdrop of a Mad Max film. So, once you've summed up those variables and stuck the whole fandango in a blender, the outcome is a water-downed, cheap vodka, sex-on-the-beach experience; which, by the way, both resorts are experts in concocting. Here's a rundown of the sins: - its easier to fetch Obama on the phone, than the hotel's reception... And, don't even think about phoning ahead for the Margarita-Coche transfer, we'll get first contact from the planet Venus before that little miracle occurs. - all inclusive? Someone, please, get the manager a dictionary. Or at least a basic understanding of the concept. - the buffet? Dinner, lunch, snack, breakfast, the same refried left-overs from last night, which by the way, the lettuce most have been present during the Reagan administration. - drinks? I hope you like beer, piña coladas, and Pepsi, cause aside from water that's their whole repertoire... Oh yeah, there's a Caipirinha that the guys at NASA are considering as an alternative fuel source. - there's an activity sheet, constantly updated, daily... And, like the weather, sometimes it's anybody's guess which way it'll turn. Frankly, everything supposedly happens on the main pool area, the only dilemma is the certainty that it most take place in some alternative dimension, cause it sure as hell wasn't in this plane of existence. - the staff resembles a gaggle of chickens who have just come back from a one way trip to the guillotine. What's the turnover in this place? It's a fair question. Everyday seemed like the first day on the job for the crew; fresh eyes, a smile that says: "Jesus H, where's the light switch". You can actually taste the panic of confusion; a miasma of "holy God, what I'm supposed to do? Help! Help! Find someone with some experience." So, there you have it, but here's the rub, you are screwed, up creek without a paddle, cause if you want to stay in Coche you're either stuck with Pepsi or Coca-cola, just those two options and, in both cases, the gas has hightailed out of the bottle, a cat has pissed in it and it's been simmering for the past few weeks in the noon sun. Have fun.
We had our day services there when we have been to Coche Island. Foods were good. But they can improve the cleanliness of the the dining area. I liked the location of the hotel. But still they are not great in terms of hotel interior, cleanliness and peacefulness.
This is a full inclusive hotel at the Punta Blanca (kite beach). The food its okay and the service isnt that bad. The location is great, specially for kite surfers and the Kitesport Center is about 5 minutes walk distance. Wifi conection. Full inclusive and boat transportation from and to Coche.
