Great cottage

We really enjoyed staying at The Dove House. It was very well furnished and very comfortable. There was plenty of outside space, BBQ etc. Would stay again.

Lovely stay in beautiful location

Really enjoyed our 5-night stay at Dove House which was very cosy and welcoming to return to after our days out. We also appreciated the welcome gifts on arrival. Loved Kersey (great meal at The Bell) and Boxford. Lavenham is magical and Dedham is worth a visit. Didn’t get to meet the owners even though Dove House is on their property.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. Serene surroundings with privacy and abundant wildlife around. Very relaxing peaceful area with picturesque villages and quiet roads. Tastefully furnished with quality fixtures and fittings. An ideal place to chill.

The cottage is in a great location and is beautiful, a great deal of thought has gone into the furnishing and decor. The owners who live next door are very helpful but not intrusive.

A Suffolk gem

We had a wonderful stay at Dove House. Everything about the house - the beautiful decor, open views, outside seating area, handy kitchen with modern amenities and unlimited supply of hot water - all contributed to the relaxing vibe. The countryside location added to the aura of calm and nearby Kersey is probably the most beautiful village in Suffolk. Truly idyllic.

Another week at The Dove House

We have just spent a week at The Dove House, the second time we have so. This is excellent accommodation which would be hard to better in south Suffolk. A Lovely location at which to spend a relaxing time, but near enough to Ipswich and Sudbury if more facilities or shops are needed. Plenty of interesting places and pubs to visit are nearby. We feel any guests booking The Dove House for a relaxing Suffolk holiday will not be disappointed.

Peaceful stay

Peaceful setting. Lovely garden next to an open field. Welcome basket had eggs from owners three chickens which were delicious. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable underfloor heating. Nearby places to visit. Cafe cosmo good find.

A Pleasant Stay

The Dove House is easily found a few hundred yards off the A1071 and there is parking right outside the apartment. On arrival our host Jonathan had kindly put lights on to welcome us and there was a basket of milk, eggs, wine, biscuits etc. The Dove House is spacious, well designed, well equipped, warm and tastefully decorated. It would be hard to image a more pleasant place to stay.

Second time we have stayed here and we will be back

My partner Claire is writing this We fell in love with this place when we first came in April. It is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated with a really cosy feel. Everything you need has been taken care of. It is new and clean. Lots of information about where to go and what to see. A nice secluded private outdoor space (much more private in the Summer). It feels luxurious. The bed is absolutely huge. We love it here.

Rural comfort in The Dove House.

A well equipped and comfortable property, stylish and beautifully decorated. Could do with a larger fridge / freezer. Idyllic cottages very well run by Charlie Allsop. Owner nearby helpful and friendly yet unobtrusive. Situation excellent if you want a rural position, central to many South Suffolk / North Essex destinations yet shops (in Hadleigh) 7 mins. drive away or in Sudbury a little further. We had a lovely stay and will return next year.

Absolutely perfect

Stayed here for 5 nights after arriving from Australia jet lagged. We couldn’t have been more comfortable. The cottage was presented in immaculate condition and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Best of all, the king bed was super comfortable and the location is extremely quiet, enabling us to recover from our long haul flight very quickly. Kitchen has just about everything you need, lounge room is spacious and comfortable, large TV with Netflix ect and Wi-Fi is fast and reliable. In fact this place is just as good if not better than the website pics. All the furnishings are stylish and of good quality. We were also very happy with Idyllic Cottages. Their booking process and communication was upfront and reliable. We had no problem booking from Australia.
