Die Unterkunft liegt wunderbar abgelegen im Grünen. Ausgestattet mit Waschmaschine und Trockner, Kamin und großem Bett und Schlafcouch hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Unterkunft ist sehr liebevoll und hochwertig eingerichtet und die Kommunikation unkompliziert und freundlich. Die nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind nicht weit weg. Galway, Korallenstrand und Lough Corrib sind gut erreichbar und führen morgens und abends durch idyllische Landschaft und an diversen Schafen, Kühen und Pferden vorbei. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Just what we needed

Stunning views. Cutest cottage near hiking, biking, bog walking, shops, and beaches. Adorable neighbors: sheep, cows, and horses. Just the quiet getaway we were looking for!

Verblijf met potentie

De cosy barn is prachtig gelegen en heeft veel potentie om een aangenaam verblijf te worden. Het geheel is wat rommelig en binnen rook het erg muf, alsof er lang niet gelucht was. Toiletpapier en theedoeken ontbraken. De eigenaar heeft dat rechtgezet door een deel van de huur terug te betalen. Dat vonden we erg netjes.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen und die Natur ist schön. Man muss sich auf die Abgeschiedenheit einstellen und daran denken, Wasser einzukaufen. Das Wifi hat gar nicht funktioniert und man hat nur ab und zu Empfang.

A lot of potential

The location is beautiful, nestled in peaceful natural surroundings that offer a real sense of escape. The area is quiet, and the setting has a lot of charm and potential for a relaxing stay.That said, our experience didn’t quite meet expectations. The place was a little bit dusty, with some cobwebs and an special smell, which made it a little bit hard to feel at ease during our time there.We were aware that drinking water needed to be brought in, but we didn't think it would have impact on something else. When we used it to wash our clothes, a unpleasant odor came from the laundry, which was surprising and uncomfortable. We had to wash it again later on our trip. With some attention to cleaning and clearer information about the amenities, this spot could truly offer a lovely off-the-grid experience for future guests.

Quaint cottage, excellent location for exploring, private, quiet, and very comfortable sleeping loft.Would recommend visitors bringing their own water as the water is very yellow/brown. Shower was disappointing due to angle (low pressure to be expected). Wifi was next to none which was disappointing for travellers as well - even with exceptional weather.

This was a wonderful little getaway! Rory was super communicative and sent a wonderful list of things to do nearby! We checked out the pub he recommended Powers and it was phenomenal! The little barn was so cute and we felt right at home immediately.

Truly a special stay

I loved staying in this space more than anything! I miss it and still think of it fondly. It’s just so beautiful and peaceful, not too far from Oughterard if you need some cooking supplies, but out of town enough that you really feel one with the beautiful landscape that surrounds you. If I lived in Ireland, I’d surely be back. :)

Es ist einfach toll. Mitten im nirgendwo. Ich war alleine dort. Es war zwar manchmal etwas einsam aber das ist auch einfach ein Teil der vibes dieser Unterkunft. Einfach super!!

Beautiful Solitude

This was the last stay of our honeymoon - slowing down our lives and adapting to the pace of life in Connemara was just what we needed. This cabin facilitated that, with its woodstove, loft bed and plenty of sheep visitors at the gate each morning. This was also the most spacious rental we had, which added to the feeling of home. The lovely shower and washer/dryer really were the cherry on top for us after a week or so of traveling about. We love this little place and the land it sits on.

The cabin was fantastic- had everything we needed for a 3 night/ 4 day stay. It is fairly remote so id say plan accordingly but thats what we loved about it! Ammenties in the cabin are great ( even used the dryer after a really nice day at the beach to quickly dry some bathing suits ) overall great, hoping to be back soon!!
