It is not often I do this, but after an outrageous and disappointing experience on our honeymoon I must... We splurged for our honeymoon, booking a room for $1,000/night at VICTORIA-JUNGFRAU Grand Hotel & Spa, Interlaken. We experienced several disappointments while there. No mini bar soft drinks restock that was included in our room rate once daily, re-used chocolates on our pillow at turn-down service, horrifically inattentive servers that we had to chase down to get another drink, guests using cell phones on speaker phone was allowed in all dining rooms - it was most obtrusive to our meals, and housekeeping not up to standards. We voiced these concerns to the GM and he offered us dinner. We didn’t feel a meal was a sufficient settlement for these mistakes that a 5-star hotel should simply not make, so we asked for a ride to the airport for our flight. The hotel has several cars and drivers on-site at all hours. Reluctant, the GM was able to get us a ride to the airport. At our complimentary dinner, we ordered as we would typically on a special occasion - appetizers, pasta, main course, dessert, and an nice bottle of wine. The next day, we received an email from the GM that he would be charging us for the bottle of wine because it was more expensive than the one we had ordered the night before. Who is he to tell us what our spending habits are?! You don’t think a couple paying $1,000/night on a hotel is likely to buy a $250 bottle of wine on the LAST NIGHT OF OUR HONEYMOON. Shame on you, Victoria Jungfrau Hotel for letting your GM nickel and dime your guests, particularly on a meal that was offered as a GIFT. Mr. Peter [-] , GM, is an absolute disgrace to your hotel. It’s no wonder his staff is disgruntled (we made very good friends with the concierge staff, who shared a lot about their disappointment in working there), but it’s a shame that it’s now impacting your paying customers. Rest assured we will NEVER stay with Victoria Jungfrau again. You are not worthy of your 5-star designation, as your GM does not know how a 5-star hotel should act. Leading Hotels of the World should reconsider Victoria-Jungfrau's place in its organization. Certainly not deserving of this designation.

Stayed in a junior club suite - the peace of the first night was suddenly interrupted by the arrival of guests next door. From the moment they entered their room, the noise level was unacceptable. The adjoining door was knocked and rattled repeatedly, children (in heavy metal boots?) raced up and down for hours. We asked reception twice to intervene, which thankfully worked by 22.30pm but really the hotel needs to find a solution - eg to place families with children next to each other or sound proof/carpet the rooms to soften the noise. Not what I would expect from Victoria-jungfrau. Sadly, it did ruin the stay at this beautiful hotel and for this reason, unless a proper solution is assured, I would not return or recommend for anyone wanting tranquility or relaxation. A previous 5 downgraded to 2.

We stayed here for two nights this past week. We had a wonderful room with a view of the mountains. The room was very spacious and included a couch sitting area as well as a desk area. The bathroom had two sinks and great shower. The bed was very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The public spaces in the hotel are gorgeous and the spa is wonderful and includes an indoor pool for lap swimming. It was an easy walk to the Bahnhof Ost for the boat ride or train into the mountains or the other direction into the old town. The breakfast was included in our room and the buffet was excellent. The staff is considerate of individual travelers and placed singles and couples in a quiet area when a tour group dominated the main dining area which was much appreciated. We also enjoyed the Italian restaurant in the hotel, Sapori. A highly recommended hotel!

Centrally located 8n the majesty of the swiss alps! Railway station nearby allows exploring the area and coming back to the spa! Fireworks. Wonderful weather. Helpful and friendly staff. It was our 2nd trip to that location and we'll return there again, if possible! Just basked in the glory of God's creation for a week! Oh, and the food--wonderful breakfast and evening meals, although we packed a lunch on the says we hiked.

overall a good experience but for that price we expected a much better service! - room very good - bath not bad - SPA very good - service so so - food very good we arrived apx 8.30 in the hotel .. kinda very early given check in is at 3pm in this hotel.. kinda very late! however, we could finally go to the room arround 2 but unfortunately we had to wait for our luggages in the room.. too long! would expect luggages to be in the room already when u enter the room. The SPA is very good and relaxing! the facial was nr.1! overall i can recommend the hotel..

A start around Europe was with this incredible hotel I didn’t even want the trip to finish and i loved it and i loved the whole service Interlaken is very nice place to visit in winter and i would defnitley repeat it again the hote is huge that you cant even finish My suggestion is to give the car to the hotel before doing the check in or else make sure to pay the parking cuz the officers pass there often and you can get a 40 Euros fine

Nicest hotel in Interlaken. Had a Club Junior Suite which was great. Spa was amazing with indoor pool and amazing outdoor hot tub. Men’s and women’s spa area great. Fabulous Italian food restaurant on site. We dined three times there. Great bar and staff amazing there. Paraglider Lansing in field across from hotel most of the day. Great outdoor bar and restaurant seating. Cannot say enough about the wonderful staff.

Old charming grand hotel with tons of tourists. Professional welcome and check in, helpful staff and good breakfast. Silent nights help to turn down as well as the luxury spa. There is nothing wrong, but as well as nothing outstanding.

We had the luxury of staying here for 2 nights. I had a junior suite with a balcony facing the pool area and outside courtyard. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the service is impeccable. Location is perfect and the town is lovely. Highly recommend the hotel and the area for a vacation or even a short stay.

Very opulent hotel, large rooms, excellent breakfast but the hotel was larger that the hotels where we usually stay, there were crowds everywhere. A great hotel nonetheless. Excellent location. We were given complementary transportation to the train that goes to the Jungfrau. If you like large hotels, this is the place.
