Really grand hotel ideal location really close to station and centre of innsbruck. Friendly service..the only thing bad is the heating. Impossible to get the room cool enough to sleep. Interesting art on the walls..wonder if the map from blaeuw is real!
Our first time in Austria and we had an amazing time. The hotel was great. The staff were extremely helpful polite and friendly. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Definitely deserves five stars. Central to everything, you can walk into the centre, where you will find great historical places to visit and a really helpful Tourist Information. Plenty of cafes and restaurants to delight the pallet. We jumped in a cab from the airport and were charged 12€. However when we booked a cab to the airport through the hotel we were charged 20€. This was disappointing as we were not even sure it was a registered cab so beware of this. Other than that a really enjoyable stay in this delightful hotel.
This hotel is a cracker! Wonderful location in the centre of the city, parking is easy with underground connections to the train station car park. The hotel rooms are lovely and well equipped, our room had an impressive view of the alps. Our reason for staying was to go skiing, excellent location to explore some of the best known resorts. Kitzbühel, Mayrehofen and St Anton all just under an hour away
This hotel is conveniently located across from the train station. The building is a classic design but the inside is modern and comfortable. The rooms are quiet, nice and the bathroom is modern with high quality fixtures. We would stay there again.
Not a 5* but nice none the less. Room was spacious and clean but sadly only had a shower, not bath. Continental breakfast was regularly restocked, staff spoke good English and the bar was reasonably priced, especially for cocktails. Location for convenient, although lacked charm with the bus and train station opposite. 10 mins walk to the Altstadt and transport connections direct to the high Alps. Hotel to piste in less than an hour
I spent 6 days in the Grand Europa for business. The front desk staff were fantastic and happy to help. Having breakfast included was a definite plus (there's a lot of choice). My only complaint was that the room is a little bit small. My girlfriend came out for a couple of days and it got a little cramped in the room, with small details like not being able to open the wardrobe if the bathroom door is open, but the beds were comfy and everything (lights and even curtains) are automatic. The spa is nice (and free) but very small, so you have to be lucky if you want some space. Overall, a nice place to stay for a trip to Innsbruck, if you don't mind a slightly small room. The location is great - right next to the train station and a 5 minute walk from the old town.
The most comfortable and clean hotel that is very conveniently located just opposite the train station. A very ahort walk to old town and many shopping destinations as well as the cable car station taking us up the mountain. Loved the room, it was very clean, chic and elegant. Reception staff especially Charlotte waz very helpful.
The hotel is in a great spot opposite the train station terminal. Lovely welcome and rooms. Very clean and our room had mountain views which were amazing. Good breakfast but needs someone to check the buffet as something was always missing, croissants, orange juice etc. Seems disaorganised but staff were helpful and did there best. Spoke to the manager who made no comment.
The hotel r caption staff were friendly and efficient. They were able to provide advice on transport options, rental equipment and also sell discount d passes. There was a good range of options at breakfast that suited us. The breakfast staff seemed a bit rushed so were not as engaging as reception. The room was large and provided everything we needed. Biggest criticism is that it was a little hot. Overall, a good stay and I would stay again.
I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and the food in the restaurant was excellent, but what made this stay special was the staff who could not do enough to make our stay comfortable and memorable from the room service to the restaurant staff. Thank you especially to Charlotte, Evelyn, Stefan, Ibrahim and the Manager on reception. We can't wait to return. Valerie
