Is a nice small hotel, inside a condo, which brings a lot of tranquility and relaxed time. The rooms are not top notch, but the hole complex is quite nice and the restaurant is also very good. Breakfast is ok, staff very kind and helpful.
A small 12 bed roomed hotel within a condominium complex for the rich! 25 mins south of Angra dos Reise, on the Costa Verde. Hotel within a villa de elopement all adjacent to canals with their own yacht berths. Reasonable beach within a 10 min walk and ferry ride. Golf course within the complex. Hotel organises boat tours from its pontoon to various Islands, they're are 350 in the area, 3, 5 or 6 hour trips. Very clean hotel, friendly staff and reasonable food. Breakfasts buffee style with a wide selection of breads, fresh fruites and juices, eggs etc. Half or full board available. The pool is being renovated and improved in April. We had a delux room, good size with a very large bathroom with large shower, no bath. We thoroughly recommend this hotel for a 'chill out' break. Hotel arranges transfers from Rio a 2 - 3 hr journey for 5500 real. Language difficulties can be overcome with the use of google translate.
Stayed here over Xmas 2014.Its shabby, far from being a boutique hotel, more like a pousada. I thought the photos were very misleading as the house is situated at the bottom of a very steep hill in a heavily built area. Great swimming pool and great location however. No facilities and very expensive. Suites very small and run down. They had a suite directly on the water front and thats the only one I would recommend.
Stayed here for 2 nights and we were very impressed with the quality of everything at a very reasonable price. There is a superb swimming pool with bar and decking area with its own berth from where you can take boat trips to the islands. The rooms are spacious and well appointed including even insect repellent. Those at the front have nice view of the channel, even the standard ones. Food was extremely good although there was quite a long wait for each course. Excellent self service breakfast. Showers and aircon both worked very well, as did wifi and pc for guests' use. The friendly owner made a point of chatting to all the guests, mainly Argentinian, whilst we were there. Points for improvement: badly lit steps leading down to pool area which were rather dangerous, this was pointed out to owner so hopefully he will do something about it; a couple of light bulbs needing replacing in room; snooker table in poor condition. But overall a lovely hotel in a great position in Frade ( note this is a closed condominium about 30 mins by car from Angra).
We stayed in this hotel just after the 2014 carnaval. It is inside a condo with fancy houses and yachts. We loved it, the rooms are spacious and confortable. The beds are excelent. We did a full day boat trip and saw beautiful beaches and island. The weather didn't help but it was good anyway. Breakfast was simple but good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only bad thing is that we got locked out of the room. Because no one told us the reception would close after a certain hour... We will go back for sure. Fair price, confortable and good service.
This hotel is a very good tip for relaxed vacation near Angra. The service was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. The cozy art restaurant was small, but convices with regional, homemade meals. The room was clean with a hammock and boatberth outside and waterview.
We went there around late Nov 2013. Hotel offered a car to pick us up from the airport. After about 2 hours drive, we finally arrived. BEAUTIFUL place!! As it wasn't a peak season for tourism, we almost had the entire place ourselves! A private resort, how much more can you ask! hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful
We stayed for one night at this very nice and clean hotel. It is located 40 minutes outside of Angra dos Reis in a private area, but really hard to find without any navigation system. The hotel has a pool und small rooms. We had dinner at the restaurant within the hotel. The food and also breakfast was very good.
Location: located in a beautiful gated, guarded, and secure community. The aesthetics of the hotel are amazing. It is quiet, private, surrounded by tropical trees and flowers, backing on to a canal, and neighbors to luxury style homes. The only downfall is that it is located ~2hour drive from the big cities so the taxi ride is expensive. This would not be a problem if you have your own vehicle. We also took the bus from the Frade to the near by towns. The neighborhood has nice restaurants and access to private beaches. We woke up to the tune of birds each morning. Staff: the staff are very friendly, polite, welcoming, and went out of their way to help us with accommodation. Rooms: The room we had was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was large, with two sinks, and large enclosed glass shower. The bed was comfortable. Every room has a private porch with a hammock and seating area. The definition of luxury! Things to do: ideal for those who like to explore nature and see natural beauty. The hotels offers boat tours to beautiful island beaches for a good price - highly recommended! but for those who seek action this is not the place! This is a good place for rest, relaxation, and fresh air. If you want more action you have to travel to the cities or towns (or make your own). The neighborhood is also ideal for walking/running/biking. It is very safe and quiet. Prices: We went during the world cup when all other hotel prices were inflated. It cost us ~$200 per night in Canadian dollars ($R400) including half pension/board (free breakfast and one free meal included per day, either dinner or lunch at the hotel restaurant). The hotel restaurant has very good food but is quite expensive, especially for seafood which is not included in board. I would recommend opting for the pension/board to cut down on food costs. I think the hotel was reasonably priced otherwise, especially considering the free fresh juice and fruit available for breakfast. I really enjoyed this hotel, the people, and the location and would highly recommend it.
I stayed there in October 2013 with my wife and I loved it. Friendly staff, nice food and a great spread for breakfast. We had a great time despite the rebuilding works in the reception area. The hotel is set in a condo park far away from the cares of the world (it seems) and a good place to relax among the rich yacht crowd of the area. We got the President's suite, a nice room with a little veranda facing the canal where the yachts go past. Ideal for a few relaxing days. If I am in the area again, I will definitely stay there once more.
