Hotels on the Lake in Idleyld Park

"Steamboat Inn is a lovely property on the Umpqua River. We stayed in a cabin room right on the river. It was spacious and the balcony a restful place to read and watch the river. The balcony is shared with others in cabin rooms but set up so that each room has its own chairs and space. Note that there is no TV and even our phone network did not work. The food at the on-site restaurant was absolutely fantastic. We stayed 3 nights and ate there every evening. The steelhead was done to perfection as were the daily specials. Plus, you can have dinner (lunch or breakfast) on the outside patio with the river nearby. The Inn is perfectly situated to see the waterfalls along the Umpqua highway, and it's an easy drive to Crater Lake. It's not fancy but has enormous character. Best place we've stayed in a long time. "
