My only stayed here the one night as we were moving onto another hotel for a week the next day and fancied a night in Ibiza town first. As we pulled up in the taxi the first impressions were excellent, a man helped us with our luggage and the receptionist were extremely friendly and all spoke perfect English. Saved me having to speak my crap Spanglish. The double room was around 200 euro for the night so certainly not cheap but it was extremely clean & spacious with a huge sit out balcony. My girlfriend and I had a wander upstairs to the bar / stroke restaurant / pool area to grab a cocktail before getting ready and it was lovely up there but lacked a little atmosphere. Staff were friendly again and views were nice as your quite high up (6-7 floors) It was only a brief stay so couldn't get a real feel for the hotel but I will no doubt stay there again sometime. Very welcoming and close to Ibiza town centre 7.5/10 from me

Had a nice stay here for 4 nights last week with my new wife. The hotel itself is very nice, a little old fashioned but I think that's a good thing. The location is pretty good as well, walking distance to the old town. The rooftop pool is a highlight! Unfortunately, the parking situation was a low-light. They only have 11 parking spaces and it's a busy area nearby. I spent 45 minutes driving around looking for parking and in the end had to pay 35 euro a day in the public car park across from the hotel. I don't understand why at least they couldn't strike a deal with the car park for a reduced rate. Lesson learned, if you have a car add 35 euro per day to your budget.

I was really impressed with the hotel and facilities. The roof top pool and terrace are a great touch and perfect to catch the sun. We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on food but the cocktail I had was nice. It's the perfect distance from everything and far enough out of the way that you don't get the noise. We did ask at reception and they said to get breakfast in the room fill out the card in the room and hang on the door. It was my birthday so we wanted breakfast in bed and it never turned up. After no help from reception we had to get ready and go out so wasted a whole morning waiting for nothing. We put the do not disturb sign on for our last night so that we could have a lay in before checking out at 12 and the cleaners woke us up at 8am constantly trying to get in the room over and over and over relentlessly which was disappointing. Apart from that friendly staff and would definitely say it's 4 star.

Perfect hotel. Located in almost the heart of the city. 5 minutes walking distance from shopping center and restaurants. Friendly staff. 5 minutes walking distance from free parking, or 2 minutes from pay parking. Free wifi. Pool. Excellent breakfast form 7:00 to 11:00 am. Nice rooms and bathroom plenty of amenities.

Have just stayed here for a three day break and it was wonderful. Though I was travelling solo I did book a double room as I like the space and I'm so glad I did as I got a great private terrace too. There is a lovely rooftop pool with an amazing view of the old town. The staff couldn't be more helpful and the buffet breakfast is excellent in a very nice dining room. The hotel is quite traditional but very relaxed and I would definitely stay here again. The only negative is I did leave a scarf and some glasses in my room which I emailed about and they said they would check with housekeeping, but I never heard anything back.

We stayed here 4 nights and had a wonderful stay. The standard is extremely high and the staff can't do enough for you or be more attentive. Breakfast was delicious with a great choice. Although the area immediately around the hotel is a little run down, it is full of character and friendly bars, our favourite was My Lord, always given tapas with our early evening drinks. The main town centre and old town are a short walk away where there are many more places to eat and drink. It is also close to the port for getting the ferry to Formentera. The roof top sun terrace was stunning with very comfortable sunbeds and pool towels provided. The best views are from the rooms at the front of the hotel as the rest face onto buildings. It is very easy and cheap to get the bus to and from the airport and only a 5 min walk from bus stop to hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone wanting 1st class service in the town centre.

We booked a last minute break to Ibiza and decided to stay at the Royal Plaza Hotel. We were not disappointed the staff were very attentive and the rooms cleaned to a high standard. The rooftop pool and bar was also a hit with great views over Ibiza Town. Very reasonably priced. Would like to return in the future.

I came to this hotel as I booked on the Internet for somewhere central in the town. And the price was quite good too. Got a taxi direct from the Airport to the Hotel. (17 Euros) I didn't particularly want a room with a view but got one on the front of the Hotel overlooking the dog walking and leisure area. The room was very tidy with a good balcony with a couple of straw chairs. The TV listing suggested they had BBC1, BBC2 and BBC World. The TV only had BBC World on it. The main issue I had with my room was that there was no Modern air conditioning in it. Not too much of an issue but even in March it was quite warm and I had to sleep with the patio doors open. Then at 4.30am there was a cock crowing in the distance. After 5am the traffic seems to build up making more noise. 7.00am for breakfast. Coffee machine delivered good strong coffee. It's the usual continental hotel breakfast. I had the fruit salad which was a more cut down version of what I am used to. They had fresh strawberries and melon which I enjoyed. Main breakfast for me was scrambled eggs and bacon. The bacon being streaky but was fine. I enjoyed the breakfast. I didn't eat here for an evening meal so can't comment on that. I would come again here but not sure what it would be like in high summer without a good air con unit. Got the bus (3.50 Euros) back to the Airport. 30 minute ride. Bus stop near to McDonalds which is a couple of hundred metres from the hotel. The hotel Wi-Fi was quite good and performed well. I didn't have too many issues with the room decor. Was fine for me.

Spoilt by the freezing pool. Plenty of sun, but the water in the delightful rooftop pool was unheated and way too cold to swim in. Why bother to maintain a pool through the winter months if you're not going to heat it? Also, disappointed that there was no tea /coffee making facilities in the rooms, and also that there was only one English speaking TV channel (BBC World) That apart, a solid hotel close to the centre. Rooms well kept and reliable wi-fi. Beds a bit hard but that's a personal preference.

We have visited the Royal Plaza many times, mostly for celebrations or charity fund raiser events. Most times we book a room to avoid a late night taxi, or an abstenious evening for one or other. The food is superb. Always! Imaginative, inspired and delivered beautifully. I should mention that the service is of a similarly exquisite standard.. Not pretentious, overbearing or condescending.... just good old fashioned polite friendly customer care. The rooms are a delight. Squeaky clean and well stocked with luxury towels and personal toiletries. This is not a new building, and to some may be a little 'olde worlde', but settle for the fact that it's not a glass edifice and you can float into a bed which embraces you. Shower/bath are superb, no waiting or running out of hot water. Need a taxi or advice - reception will quickly provide both, with bags swiftly taken care of. As with everywhere in Spain.... I take my own teabags.... The coffee is fine, the tea is 'ok' but I do like my own cup of tea in the morning. I look forward to our next visit.
