Travelling alone for the first time abroad i could not have been any more accomodated. I was over to meet friends in Ibiza and couldn't have wished for a nicer hotel. The staff were always helpful and friendly. The all inclusive package i had was more than adequate. I feel i could reccommend this to people travelling solo, families or couples. 5 minutes from the beach also helped ! Good value for money, Sarah Young (stayed october 1st-october 9th 2017)

My husband and I stayed here as we were attending a wedding nearby. After reading some of the previous reviews I was sure what to expect but I have to say we were pleasantly surprised but just how good the hotel was. Food: the breakfast choice was fantastic eggs, bacon, sausages, endless bread and fresh meats/cheese. You were really spoilt for choice and there was something for everyone. The lunch and dinner choices were a bit basic but again there was something for everyone, there was always a couple of fresh meat options (chicken, beef etc), as well as more basic options like pasta, pizza, chips to cater for the fussier eaters. I admit the food wasn't 5* quality but you get what you pay for and the food was edible and decent so we couldn't really complain. Rooms: the rooms were nice and clean, the cleaner came in every day to make the bed and deliver fresh towels. The rooms were basic but you don't spend much time in there so I don't see there being any issue with that. Location: the location was very secluded but it's just a couple of minutes walk from the beach which is lovely and a nice change of scenery if you get bored of the pool. The beach is lovely and has a couple of nice beach bars/restaurants. You can also get a taxi to San Antonio or Ibiza old town for about 20-25 euros, if you want to experience proper Ibiza and go out to the clubs. There is also a little supermarket just outside the hotel that does bottles of water/crisps/toiletries etc. Staff: the staff were very friendly and helpful, I often wonder when people complain about the staff not liking English people if they themselves have been rude to them in the first place. We had no problems at all with the staff they were all smiley, friendly and helpful. I think people sometimes forget a simple please or thank you goes a long way as I witnessed some guests forgetting these basic manners. Overall, I was recommend this hotel as a cheap simple option if you just want to get away and relax for a couple of weeks. The hotel is nice, the food is good and the beach is perfect for a nice break from the hotel. Thanks for a great stay

Simply a steal for the money we paid for room +breakfast option. At all moments i was looking for someone to jump out and say there was a catch because this place is unbelievable for the price we paid. It's clean, simple but very well decorated with good amenities, great staff and situated next to a stunning beach. All the basics you would expect from a hotel room is there - except for a mini fridge. The shower in the room is amazing and toiletries are provided. (Do note the wall are slight thin so if you have a room near standing and entertainment area I think it could get noisy). This place is Super family friendly but equally fun for those without children. It has the balance just right for both grown ups travelling to enjoy their holiday and families with young children looking for somewhere where they can let their hair down and relax whilst still enjoying time with their kids. In terms of location, this is a small quite area, however directly outside the hotel you do have access to everything you need. There is a small number of shops selling basic essentials, a cafe, a pharmacy and couple of restaurants, but most importantly a really stunning beach within a sort walking distance. I have to be honest and say outside of breakfast, I would not recommend eating at the hotel. I am foodie and their lunch dinner options I saw were not great. The better option is to go to the beach bar/restaurant serves very good food and there are several restaurants within walking distance. I would recommend hiring a car, as a short drive from the hotel and you will find a number of small stunning beach areas and landscapes to explore. For me I have decided i will come back here but will extend my trip because it was 5 stars for value for money.

Food is cold the management clearly cannot read reviews it is said over and over. The basic fare is not even nice and the plastic restaurant will ruin your holiday. The staff do not like English people with a vengence, they rarely smile unless you are Spanish. The views are not good with derelict buildings blocking the sea view. Seriously do not eat here the rooms are ok but very small the cupboard doesnt ooen because it stops when it hits the bed. Go somewhere else.

Firstly, some of the previous reviews had me concerned before arriving at the Hotel but I am pleased to say they were completely unfounded, ( I do appreciate everyone looks for different things). We were a group of 8 who booked this as an extra holiday so were pleased at the very low price, especially for all-inclusive. We were spread over 5 rooms so we got a good overview of the accommodation which far exceeded our expectations. The animation team were fantastic, so friendly and I must make special mention of Anton and Meemo who were so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, they work very hard to involve everyone and to put on a great entertainment programme for those willing to join in. ROOMS: very clean, modern, comfortable beds with excellent showers (beautiful bathrooms). Some of us had balconies while others had the gardens with loungers and table/chairs. We were all delighted with our rooms. A tiny criticism would be the wardrobes did not have full length hanging facility but we lived with that, not a major issue. One of our party has a disability and the Hotel were excellent in arranging an room with adaptations (we did ask well in advance). Wifi, Air Con all worked very well, I would rate our room (125) as good as most hotel rooms we have stayed in. FOOD: Agree with mixed reviews, always something for everyone but could be hotter (I did start to use the microwave). Having said that, there was show-cooking with fresh meat / fish cooked in front of you at lunch / dinner and fresh eggs cooked how you wanted in a morning, it's a case of maximising what is there. I'd say all of this is pretty standard for a buffet type hotel restaurant, you cannot expect a la carte for these prices but it was of a decent standard. Desserts were limited in choice but always fruit available, melon, pineapple and fresh and tinned fruit and ice cream on tap. The snackbar snacks were nothing to get excited about, very basic but we hardly ever used it. DRINKS; I must say i did not like drinking all of my drinks from a beaker, however again we allowed for the low cost, drinks were plentiful but fairly limited in choice. The gin and vodka were bearable but no frills, occasionally a slice of lemon. Portion control is non-existent, they would be better serving smaller quantities of better quality liquor. The beer (Estrella) was fine but the wine was not very pleasant at all. All in all, we used the bar, service was quick and as a cheap holiday we were happy to go along, but if you do want a nice drink, use the beach bars which are close and very nice. LOCATION; Cala Tarida is beautiful with gorgeous sunsets, once you get used to the steps (right outside the hotel) you have access to a range of beautiful beach bars and restaurants. Favourites were Chiringuita Cla Tarida and Can Yucas (fabulous sunset views here). Bus stop is also right outside the Hotel taking you to Ibiza Town or San Antonio and all the stops in between (2 euros 80 fare). There are a couple of small supermarkets nearby but not much else, but having Cala Tarida on your doorstep more than makes up for this and offers a fairly tranquil, relaxed and get away from it all feel. OVERALL: We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, loved the four poster sunbeds, loved the beach nearby and overall felt this was excellent value for money. I would definitely return again. NOTE TO HOTEL: The terrace on the first floor above the bar is such a wasted resource, it has lovely furniture and is a great space but is in darkness in the evening. We would love to have sat up there with some chilled out music and candles (maybe patio heaters), hope you will take note as this would offer an alternative area for relaxing in the evening.

My husband and I have been to Ibiza a number of times, mostly stayed at The Barceló, in Port Des Torrent, not far in miles from this hotel. We thought we would try somewhere different this time, as last year , Thomas Cook took over The Barcelo, and it has become more commercialised which is ok but we thought try somewhere else. We arrived at about 9.45pm to Playasol Cala Tarida, I had booked the stay direct with Playasol Call centre as I would like to think that the hotel company receives all the money when booking this way as opposed to some going to an internet site like, Booking .com or On the Beach. The Call Centre staff member was very helpful and telephoned through directly to Cala Tarida Playasol and confirmed that I wanted a Double room with a Sea View. The Receptionist had fed back to the Call Centre member of staff that all the Double Rooms had Sea Views and so this would be fine, and they could guarantee a Double with a Sea view. When we arrived at 9.45pm, the Receptionist started making excuses, we cannot guarantee a sea view room, and I have no notes about it, and allocated us a TWIN Family Room ! It was above the Extractor Fans of the Hotel Restaurant and these were blasting out all night. The balcony faced a wall and there was no view. I became flabbergasted with the excuses that were being given and my husband took over and asked whether there would be a sea view room available from the next morning and it was confirmed that there would be, so we had to stay one night in the Twin room, and move the next morning. The next morning came and the Receptionist who was on the morning shift, actually told us she did not know why there had been a problem as the double room was ready the night before and did not know why we were given a TWIN room !!!!!!! Right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing springs to mind. Whilst we were pleased with now having a double room with a sea view, it was very small and you could not open the wardrobe door fully to put your clothes in. The good thing about the room was the double bed and the bathroom. The shower was very powerful and of course you had a view of the sea. However, there was a disused building with graffiti on lower down in front of the room, that you had to look beyond to see the view of the bay. There was also a dusty old road which ran along to a small coved beach with bushes down one side. Three times whilst sitting on the balcony, during our 7 night stay, I saw a man pee in the bushes. Below us were garden rooms, which have there own garden, which being ground floor level would have had a lovely view of men urinating. Also the Garden rooms, had the privilege of dust being thrown around every time a car sped down this road ! No wonder the gardens were seldom used by the people staying in them ! Whilst the cost for this holiday was reasonable, the negatives outweighed the reasonable cost in our minds. Drinks- you had to exchange 2 euros each for a plastic beaker at the start of your stay, your alcoholic drink was served in this, and when finished you took it back to the bar and they gave you your token back. If you are sitting around the swimming pool I can understand plastic beakers, but when you go for lunch or dinner, you can actually pick up a glass in the restaurant and fill this with apple juice, sprite, coca cola etc and take it to an outside table !! So why cant you have an alcoholic drink in a glass and sit at a table too ???? A gin and tonic doesn't taste as nice in a plastic beaker I can tell you, and they are also one size fits all, LARGE !! so most drinks are filled up with mixers to fill the plastic beaker to the brim. There is no wine choice, other than RED, WHITE, or ROSE cheap plonk, And that is served in a plastic beaker too !!! The food is poor. Most days for lunch there was some sort of pasta, chips, pizza. One day there was chicken drumsticks. There was always salad which I opted for. But tinned sardines ???? YES tinned sardines. Why not freshly cooked. Why not freshly cooked salmon ??? Is it that expensive ?? I saw beef curry one lunch time which looked ok, but even sausages one lunch time weren't cooked enough when my husband asked the chef to cook him some. The cooked food at breakfast was always cold too. They need heated plate holders. Every time you went into the restaurant you had to give your room number. There was one lady mostly doing this job who did not smile unless you smiled at her and was very solemn, and miserable most days. This did not start your day off very well when met with a down turned face. There are some positives - the area of Cala Tarida is lovely with picturesque beaches and clear blue sea. Although we booked All Inclusive we wanted to experience a relaxed good quality meal at night time with a nice glass of wine that was of a standard that you could enjoy. So we made the decision to have our evening meal out at the restaurants on the beach.Because of this we witnessed some wonderful sunsets and enjoyed well cooked, tasty meals with wonderful atmosphere. I would say give this hotel a wide berth as there are better ones on the island of Ibiza. If you have to pay a little more, you will certainly benefit from a friendlier welcome, a glass to enjoy your holiday alcoholic beverage, hot food and nicer views. This hotel does not have a CAN DO attitude. It has a CANT DO attitude.

First trip with my boyfriend to Ibiza and we absolutely loved it...cannot wait to come back again! Hotel was very modern and clean, which was really nice. The bed was comfy and the showers are amazing!! Best I've had possibly. Cleaners came in daily which was nice and they were very friendly. Didn't have much to do with the animation team but anton and his female companion were very friendly!! The location is absolutely amazing and just what we wanted. A quiet bay with amazing views and 5* sunsets. The beach faces west and you get the best views...they will be so missed!! Amazing walks round the cliff edge to watch the sunset as well, very romantic if it's a couple holiday. The pool is nice and clean too and there are lovely white beds on the pool side similar to the ones you pay £100s for at ocean beach! But with such an amazing beach on your doorstep we didn't sit around the pool much. The team provide all you need, you need to pay deposits for irons and towels etc but that's fair enough really! October was a great time to come weather was hot and the place seemed quieter than I imagine it was in the summer. The only reason why it's not 5* is that we were in room 148 which was loud...we didn't mind as don't go to bed until 11 .30 onwards anyway but the entertainment is VERY loud so I assume they put couples in these rooms rather than families. The food was okay but cold. Had to heat it up in the microwave which was provided. Breakfast was the best. Amazing croissants. For a vegetarian it was limited I lived off pasta and salad for a week... apart from that it was amazing cannot wait to come back and such great value for money. Wish we didn't have to go home so soon! Thanks again.

This hotel was a lovely little find tucked away in a quieter area of the island in cala tarida. We stayed for 4 nights which was perfect as it is in such a quiet area with not a great deal of things to do. Was dine for us as we wanted to do a whole lot of nothing!! There were a few small shops opposite the hotel but nothing major. The hotel itself is modern with a 2 lovely pool areas - one quieter than the other. Enough sunbeds and nobody up at the crack of dawn to reserve one! Also some lovely 4 poster beds poolside that were comfortable and perfect for relaxing and a bit of shade. Entertainment was ok - not really our thing but fine for something to do. Food ok but as people have commented it can be cold. Although there is a microwave to heat things up in. Plenty of options and very tasty. Bar was nice and never took long to get a drink. Our room was a chill out room. Very modern, brill shower and beds comfy. Lovely garden area complete with table and chairs, parasol and sunbeds. Wifi is free and had a good connection. Was able to hire towels for a small deposit that was returned when handing back the towels. Safety deposit box was also free to use. We stayed in room 313 and was only noisy in the evening when entertainment was on, however this was only for an hour or so. We didnt have children with us but there seemed plenty for them to do with a play area and what seemed like a kids clu . Entertainment and staff were brill with the kids. The real winner for me was the nearby beach. Turning right out of the hotel and down some steps was the most prettiest beach ive seen. Hidden away it was as if its a secret gem. Clear blue sea for miles where you are able to see the fish swimming around your feet and lovely white sand. Popular among tourists and locals who often flock there to see the beautiful sunset. It is a small cove like beach that is relatively long and is lined by a handful of bars/restaurants that have the perfect view of the sea and sunset. We often went there in the evening for a cocktail and to see the sunset. Was definitely worth it and is a view i would never get bored of! Would definitely return!

Just returned from a weeks holiday with family and friends. This has to be the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The room we were given was room 214 on the ground floor. It was beautifully decorated, very modern. We had great air conditioning and free WiFi and safe. We were really pleasantly surprised to find we had a garden area with 2 sunbeds and a parasol. Also a table and chairs at the back of our room. The hotel has 3 pools with loads of sunbeds and parasols. The hotel also has 6 beautiful 4 poster beds with white floating curtains. Very glamourous. The staff were all amazing and worked incredibly hard especially the animation team. We had a fantastic week and will definitely return. I would have liked to have given 5 stars but the only let down was the food. Not that it wasn't good. There was always something to eat but a lot of the time it was cold which was a let down. I'm sure this is something that the hotel can fix. I'd like to thank the hotel for a fabulous holiday and can't wait to come back 😎😀

Stayed for a week with my family. The staff were excellent throughout our week. We did ask to move rooms after the second night. The evening enteraintment although I'm sure great for some was a bit too loud (very loud). We were staying with our 18-month daughter. We asked the front desk staff and within 20 minutes we were moved into the other end of the hotel, away from the speakers and enjoying a good sleep (ready for the early start an 18-month old loves, even on holiday). The hotel itself is nice enough, a few knocks around the edges but it was certainly clean everywhere. The pool was good and again clean. The beach was a short walk down a few steps. It was a lovely little cove that is popular with tourists and locals. We did visit a couple of others which were much quieter but the beach wasn;t quite so good hence the popularity of the one at Cala Tarida. The food at the hotel was the only thing that let is down. We ate well every night but hoice was a little limited and a little underwhelming. Breakfast too was a bit disaapointing. A English man on holiday in even the hottest locations loves a fried breakfast. This was on the couple of times I gave it a go, luke warm to cold. Plenty of other options available though so we were never hungry. The drinks were great. Couldn't have much being a family holiday but the house beer was Estrella, a good sign anywhere! I would recommend this place.
