Far enough away from the nightlife to be quiet but still walking distance for those who want that. Family run (you can tell!) all the staff are very friendly and take pride in the hotel. Very clean with a nice pool area. I've been coming to Ibiza for 20 years for clubbing and family holidays and have stayed all over the island. I highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel Gran Sol, is located in a nice spot you can walk into town no problem. There is some cool venues near by such as the well known Café del Mar and Mambo Café. Lots of restaurants, shops and cafeterias all around the corner. I traveled by motorcycle and they let me park behind at the staff parking with a gate, so it was safe all time. The room is well decorated, large varanda, cool bar nice swimming pool and a large grass area downstairs. The breakfast is really good and a large variety of fresh food. As I went on a low season the room price was really good.
The room was nice with a comfortable bed and fridge. The hotel is in a great location and there are many restaurants, cafes and supermarkets around. You can buy e big water at the reception for 2 Euros what was very handy. The bar made a nice mojito and the staff was friendly. So I recommend this place.
Stayed here with two friends and had a fantastic triple room with a huge balcony, perfect for watching the sunset with a glass of fizz. Rooms were cleaned daily and the hotel is spotless. Lovely pool area and snack bar. This hotel is located approx. 10 minutes walk from the West End and provides a chilled out daytime retreat before hitting the bars of the west end. Don't think I'd stay anywhere else in San An.

Rooms are large lovely n clean safety deposit box included there was no extra cost Second drop off on transfer from airport Staff helpful Pool ok size ( not huge) Gardens to sunbathe in away from the pool as well Food:- breakfast amazing loads of choice Evening meal 7.30pm was a bit late for my liking and a found the choice not so good if you eat red meat then you'll be ok but as I don't eat lamb beef or pork I struggled found myself having salad and a pudding. I travelled with an another adult I would return to this hotel with another adult but not with my children They would have struggled to eat at the tea time meal 7.30 is to late for my kids to be eating even on holiday Hotel or pool has no children entertainment facilities Location is ideal though pretty much in walking distance of most things
Location – very good, with lots of parking space available in the nearby streets; petrol station round the corner, shops, restaurants, etc. At the same time far enough from party places so it is not intrusive, yet close enough you can walk. Rooms and amenities – nice pool of decent size, secluded sunbathing garden, cable tv with a massive choice and safe lockers in the rooms at no charge. Brill! Service – German/English are well spoken, staff is very friendly and helpful indeed. Food – this was THE bomb. Usually food in such resorts is bland and boring after 3 days. Here – the total opposite – this food had flavour! We often found ourselves staying in. From time to time they served local specialities, which (at least) we really, really enjoyed. Out of all the hotels we stayed in, this one had by far the best food selection and taste. Top marks. Prices – drinks & nibbles by the pool, drinks accompanying dinner – I’ll be very honest, I have no clue how the hotel is making any profit on this at all. Dirt cheap (gin&tonic, coke, 2 coffee-s delivered to the pool were ~8euro). Overall – a really nice hotel, with good location, outstanding food and quality service. Highly recommended!
We went in Summer 2015 and it had bad reviews, I loved it and remember thinking I must review this. Food was great and I have onion allergies, so am impressed! Rooms were standard but had everything you needed, plenty of drinks, never ran out. You could get a cheap boat ride to the clubs and there were plenty of small clubs on your door step, Nice and clean. Impressed!
Stayed here on first week of October, really nice hotel very calm and the area is quiet and not rough at all. Literally a 5 min walk to Cafe Mambo which is awesome and has a nice small beach beside aswell. When we arrived it was around 10am and the staff were very accommodating and had are room ready by 10:30 which is amazing and I'm so thankful as had been traveling since 2am. Pool area is lovely and calm also no rowdy people at this hotel. Not the type of hotel if your young and want to party in hotel by great if you just want a calm relaxing stay. Food was average nothing to rave about had lunch once there quite cheap too. Had several supermarkets around hotel too which is great. Only problem we had with hotel was the ceiling in bathroom leaked and dirty water poured into our shower which was quite annoying as it got over all my shower stuff, although told reception and they fixed this which was good but when they opened cieling it had basins obviously to catch the water so I'm guessing this had happened before and the basins were only temporarily fixing this problem. Overall I would go back it's a cheap hotel but comfortable and nice place.
I dont know much about Ibiza. We spent 2 nights mid October.... In fact, the last 2 days before this hotel closed for the winter. It cost 800€ online, amd travel agents were quoting 1200 for the 2 nights. This is way overpriced. I can just imagine in summer! Eeeeeeek. We travelled 2 adults and a child. Good enough views of the port. Clean and spacious room , yet didnt like having a bathtub in the middle of the room. Service very good, and the highlight was the breakfast buffet and the staff in the morning. The guy that does the omlettes was the friendliest and most amazing cook, and soooo wonderful with kids. Everyone speaks english which i appreciate and much better service than what i am used to in Marbella.... Or other places i. Spain. This ibiza hotel umderstands tourism. Also, everybody we know who are Ibiza fans recommeded this hotel..... So it must be the best one. With a couple of ,meals and the odd room service FOR a 2 night escape cost €1000 plus. MAD. NEAR THE AIRPORT. AND NEAR THE PORT.
