We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, though it felt somewhat dated and perhaps didn’t quite match the high expectations we had for the price point — it’s more reminiscent of a property that would have been luxurious 15 years ago. We visited during the off-season, so the hotel wasn’t very busy, and unfortunately the weather wasn’t ideal. The restaurants lacked atmosphere, and the resort overall felt a bit like a ghost town, perhaps because many facilities are spread out and shared with the neighboring Asanya Hotel.
On the positive side, we had an excellent massage at the spa and really enjoyed the breakfast selections. We dined at both on-site restaurants, and Saffron Thai was fantastic, particularly for the views. All staff we encountered were very friendly and welcoming. One minor concern was that our first morning’s walk along the beach revealed quite a bit of rubbish, though we did notice staff collecting it the following day.
