We visited the Evason some years ago when it was part of the bigger Six Senses now Sheraton. We had a great time then in the Evason rooms using the large shared pool. This time we decided to splurge out on a pool villa as I saw a great deal with Scoopon. We actually purchased two vouchers and extended our stay for 12 nights. The checkin process is very special as you get dropped off in the car park then whisked away in a golf cart to reception for checkin all handled very professional. The hotel has made some room renovations but overall it had not changed much it does have a rustic look as it abides by eco conservation guidelines. Having said that we loved our villa so much we hardly left it except to eat. This was to be the relaxing part of our Thailand visit and relax we did laying in our Sala or floating around our private pool. Our package came with a 75 minute massage and a dinner at either restaurant as well as pushbike. Our first massage was fabulous so relaxing done with the highest professional attitude we did have a local one for a fraction of the price but it was like being tortured by comparison. The first time we ate at Kieng Sah it was nice but not great. As we had two vouchers we were able to have second massage and dinner the second one was even better. I think as we new what to expect we enjoyed our massage more and the choice of the Coast restaurant saw us eat the best meal we had for our whole trip to Thailand for 20 nights. We chose lamb cutlets and tenderloin steak both perfect for entree we had lobster salad and desert coconut brûlée absolutely delicious. This has been a great break for us after a very hard previous year much needed. Pranburi is a very quiet area half an hour from Hua Hin it hasn’t come on much in the last 8 years at first we worried there may not be enough places to eat outside of the hotel but after hiring a motorbike we found quite a number of places to eat. There are three good restaurants that are easy walking although one Mr Sings around first corner to the left offers a free taxi the other two is Pran Corner on same corner of Mr Sing and the Very Good to the right of Evason beach road. If money is not a big issue then Coast was perfect.
This was a family trip with the aim of having a few chilled days out of Bangkok. Check in was very efficient and within 5 minutes of arriving we were unpacking in our rooms. We had a one bedroom suite with a connecting second bedroom. Really spacious and well appointed with a superb large terrace. So quiet and a great breeze. This terrace has a Dining table for 6, another round table with four chairs and a full double daybed. The steps from the terrace lead to a vast expanse of grass and the tennis courts, petanque, archery and kids club. My son liked the archery (100Thb) and my daughter loved the kids club. Lots of toys and activities as well as its own pool with slide etc. The staff here, as everywhere at Evason, are well trained, enthusiastic and utterly charming. The main pool area is very large and aging slightly but still good. Drinks took a long time at Happy Hour. We did not eat at either their Thai or Italian restaurants but they looked nice if a little expensive compared with plenty of places outside the hotel. I did go to the bar to watch the football and there it was the same relaxed vibe with top service. Breakfast is fabulous, lots of choice and everything I had was delicious. We went to the Six Senses Spa on site and it was tremendous. I normally avoid spas and get a Thai massage in a local shop for about a fifth of the price but I would come back to Six Senses. On the negative side you will need to get buggies from some parts of the hotel to others if you do not like a five minute walk, and the wifi could be better. This is not a beach hotel although the sea is across the road. You will need to go a few minutes drive to find a suitable beach for swimming, walking etc. My conclusion is that if you are looking for a truly relaxing place to get away from Bangkok then Evason is a great choice. It is well worth the extra few minutes drive to Pranburi from Hua Hin and beats everywhere I have been in Hua Hin in terms of value for money. There are also lots of local places to eat and very safe cycling paths. It must also be noted that many areas of the hotel will probably need refurbishing in the next few years and once that happens I am sure it will become more expensive.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights in mid February as a last minute get away from Bangkok . We had planned to stay in sam roi kot and hike to the cave but I hurt my knee right before our trip and hiking was out of the question. I booked at Evason Hua Hin on the strength of other Trip advisor reviews and was not disappointed. The grounds of this eco resort are beautiful from the landscaping, lotus ponds, stone pathways and pool nature walk to the pool overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. Even using the public bathroom set amid date palms and lotus ponds was a lovely experience!. Clearly a lot of thought and consideration was put into the design and décor. The room was tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable . we didn't have to use them during our stay but I liked that each room was equipped with an umbrella outside the door and there was a unique system outside each room for indicating privacy and requesting service . we didn't use our balcony much but citronella was provided to discourage mosquitos- one of many thoughtful touches. The outdoor restaurants also provided mosquito repellant upon request. There were limited choices for food off property so we took advantage of the breakfast buffet and ate dinner at the on site restaurants. We preferred the Thai restaurant over the Italian one ( Coast) but service at both was superb and the food was quite good. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous and wonderful. we particularly enjoyed melt in your mouth almond croissants. Eating breakfast eliminated the need for lunch for us, but there were options for more casual dining as well. . We opted not to go to the local beach because our time was limited and we were happy enjoying the facilities on site. We had a good spa experience but only managed one treatment because appointments get snapped up quickly.
I had 3 amazing days here, nothing to complain just good experience all over. Super friendly staff and social. Very natural feeling over the whole resort. Many small details that matters Restaurant and breakfast was exellent. Pool area is great aswell. We will come back for sure. Thank you!!
I felt compelled to write my first review after the most fantastic holiday with my family at this beautiful serene resort. The hotel is expertly run by Alan and his exceptionally friendly and efficient staff. I can highly recommend the luxurious pool villas. We stayed a total of 18 days and could of easily stayed another 18. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the luxurious six senses spa. We cannot thank you all enough for making us feel so welcome and look forward to visiting you again very soon. Too many thank yous to mention all the staff from Reception , Spa , Kids Club, Breakfast which was superb and of course and especially the bar staff whom I kept as busy as I could 😀 If you want a special occasion try the private BBQ. We travelled with 2 young children. A 2yr old and 1 month old baby.
We stayed for two nights in three seaview rooms. Although we had booked a pre-paid non-refundable package, they allowed us to change from our original dates to a new date within a month when two family members fell sick on the day we were going to the hotel. This was nice and reflects a good customer service attitude. Checkin was also a nice experience, everything was well choreographed from when we pulled into the car park, from the gate to and through check-in. Clear communications and friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and in general well maintained. The only issue was that two sections of the balcony railing in one of our three rooms were loose. If travelling with small children, check the balcony railings. All other facilities are also well maintained, the gardens etc are well kept, and the pool is a large (probably ~1000 square meters) and clean thing. The only minus is that there is no shaded area of the pool, except for a little bit of shade from three coconut palms in an island in the middle of the pool. Adding some more shade to some parts of the pool would be great, and would make it more child friendly. One thing however stuck out as not in line with the rest of the hotel: the F&B department. When we arrived on the first day, we had dinner in one of the hotel's restaurants. Two of us had a steak with baked potato. The steak tasted good, but the potato was for some inexplicable reason served as only half a potato. On top of that, one of the potatoes was half rotten and had a mold pocket. One of the kids ordered a hot dog, and got a tiny piece (1/3 of a hot dog). To their benefit, they removed the steak served with a bad potato, and the tiny hotdog from the bill after we pointed these things out to a kitchen staff member. Food service is also very slow and sometimes prone to confusion, something mentioned by other guests we talked to during our stay. The restaurant are all friendly and nice, but there seem to be a bit of a training issue. One detail I personally often use as a measure of F&B quality at hotels is the quality of the orange juice and other juices served at breakfast. If they serve real juice, then all other food is generally of very good quality. Here, all juice appear to be from concentrate. In short: a very nice hotel, but the F&B department is not up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel. I suspect the F&B department is the victim of some weird cost control scheme gone wrong. (The second day of our stay, we had lunch at a nearby seafood restaurant, and dinner at Sheraton next door). My rating would have been a 4 or maybe a weak 5 if it wasn't for the F&B experience. Because of this, it landed at a 3.
Hi. Beautiful place set in lush gardens it is well. Off the beaten track tucked away lovely rooms and all the amenities there you want. Unfortunately no beach but shuttle free bus to nearest beach about 10 minutes away worth a visit can’t fault. Great. Stay. John
This was booked at the last minute. Travel agent said the transfer was 2 hours from Bangkok airport but by car this is not true. The flight arrived on time at 7.45 pm. This is a busy time and it took one and a half hours to clear immigration and baggage. The taxi pre-booked from Hua Hin cab company was waiting for us. Allowing for rain and toilet breaks on the way we arrived at Everson around 1 a.m. The best journey time is around 3 hours. Our room was a standard room. There was a wardrobe but no shelf space or draws to put clothes on/in. There were holes in the mosquito netting and so we asked for another room. We didn't want to live out of a suitcase for two weeks so we paid for an upgrade for a room that included shelving. Hotel is situated in front of the sea but there is no beach. There is a hotel shuttle bus to take you to a beach a couple of minutes away. There is a fabulous pool. Breakfast was also very good and it catered for a wide variety of tastes and cultures including full english, thai, malay and chinese. We never tried the hotel restaurants as we like to eat out. There are very few outside restaurants in the immediate area i.e within 10 minutes walk. In fact more massage establishments than eating places. Another very minor niggle is the free wi-fi needs logging in almost every time it is used. If you are looking to chill this is the hotel for you. The hotel has a taxi service to Hua Hin (200 baht per person) and takes around half an hour. If you want to change money you must take your passport.
Overview The hotel is just splendid. The property is beautiful, expansive and well maintained. The staff is courteous, polite and highly attentive to details. For e.g. I never told the staff that was my wife's birthday but they still surprised her with a cake. I figured they got her birthday from an email I had sent them 3 months earlier. Rooms We stayed here for 2 nights and loved the rooms. The deluxe rooms come with a huge patio and a day bed. Everything you might need is available - insect coils, slippers, toiletries, safe box etc Food / Restaurants / Pool The restaurants have ample choices of cuisine and vegetarian options. The pool is quite big and there are ample day beds to relax. The service at the pool is quite good with food and drink options available. The breakfast is amazing. The spread is huge and has ample options for everybody. Spa The spa is serene and the staff is highly professional. There are free activities everyday at the spa so you might want to check that. The treatments / massages are great. We got the oriental 90 min massage and it was absolutely worth it. Overall, this hotel is absolutely wonderful and it is all because of the staff.
This resort is very nice and quite , full service and quality of staff very high. The problem is: normal room far from the pool and restaurants. I rent a private villa pool was amazing and clean . 100% come back! Food high quality , breakfast buffet delicious . So... see you soon
