Our 05 nights stay was great at Amari which is at brilliant location.Overall experience of the hotel was fantastic except there could have been more options at buffet breakfast. And the curtains in rooms had lights coming in -should be more dark .Rest great stay, walkable distance from famous Cicada and tamarind market, great foot massage just opposite to hotel..hopefully will visit again.
This was our second stay at the Amari at Hua Hin. We booked directly (room 1523, 28/12/17 a 01/01/18) as Onyx members through the hotel, requesting the same family room, high up with a pool view. We booked a year in advance and got exactly what we wanted. Check in was smooth, a nice cool drink on arrival, bags taken care of, although our room wasn't quite ready. A bit disappointed about this but maybe our arrival time was a bit early, say 12.30, although it was a blur now as we'd had a long train ride up from Bang Krut in the south! We ate lunch next door which was nice and came back, room nearly ready! The check in staff speak very good English and always greeted us in Thai which we reciprocated and I really respect. Our room was as expected, very nice and cool, smart, everything that we needed, it's a beautiful room and quite a treat at the end of our 3 week travel in Thailand. We love the view of the pool, the large balcony, the coffee for the cafetière, the gorgeous beds, separate room for the two kids, soft towels, sofa area, need I say more! Breakfast was perfect for us, as kids enjoyed the western options and we enjoyed the Thai and western mix. Great fruit salad and yogurt, pastries and coffee was always offered. We tended to sit outside, which is lovely as is the inside as well. We love the pool for the kids, and us, never crowded, always a sun lounger, bed, shade etc. Bar for drinks was a little pricey but it's a western hotel, so that's as you would expect. A very nice place to relax, like I say we've been before! We love the location of this hotel as its on the main road, close to the Tamarind and Cicado Markets that we just love. Amazing for Thai crafts, food, atmosphere and literally five mins around the corner. A big shout out to the security staff as they were always friendly and when I went out in my own they seemed to be aware of making sure a had any transport needs etc. I liked getting the green mini van into the town and night markets, only 10baht per person, and a great way to hear and see the sounds and sights. This hotel is not in the beach, but we knew that and if you look at the map location you will see it isn't. The Shoreline beach club is very nice and worth a walk down. The Holiday In roof top bar is awesome so check this out too. Vana Nava water park is exceptional, lots of life guides, clean although lots of rules!! Highly recommend here, would stay again. Choose a pool view room, road side is not that pleasant to be honest, pool view much more chilled!
not for long term stay, not enough restaurant, food is not great, and not enough variety in the menu, not many places to go inside the hotel for entertaining, not enough staff to cater the guests, i stayed during low or high season and it's the same, the reef restaurant have to open at 10 a.m. because the staff are still working at the breakfast buffet, and there is only one restaurant that is okay decor wise which is the reef, the breakfast area is dark, the other restaurant is in the beach which is around 2 minute walk across the street of the property, separate from the hotel...
We booked our stay directly with the hotel & registered with the Onyx program. Our entourage consist of 5 adults of which 2 are seniors & 4 children. Upon our arrival on the 23-Dec we were instantly recognized as Onyx members during check in process which was very prompt & smooth. The rooms were arranged exactly as requested & were very clean. Strangely rooms doesn't provide amenities such as tooth brush. Hotel's located a short walking distance from the beach & they provide a complimentary buggy service to transport the guest to the beach area just across the road. Hotel is at a good quiet bend of the road & just a few minutes walk away from the weekend Tamarind / Cicada market which offered many fascinating choices of food & also local craft which we thought were much better than the night market near the clock tower. Getting to places of interest such as Vana Nava, Railway Station, Night Market & others was very convenient with the use of taxi^& tuk-tuk. Hotel can assist with the arrangements with no surcharge. Breakfast must be the highlight as there was a wide variety of Asian & Western food to choose from & some parts of the menu changes everyday to satisfy both young & old. The service, hospitality & cleanliness are exceptional. Good place for family holiday !
Good family hotel. Friendly staff. Nice swimming pool. Loved our family suite room that came with a big balcony. Beds were super comfy. It’s not near city center but tuk tuk or the local bus “songthaew” make it easy to reach. Convenient store, restaurants, massage parlours and laundry just across the street. Cicada & Tamarind night markets are 5 mins walk. 20 mins walk to Bluport mall and market village. Hotel is not beachfront, it’s 5 mins walk. Unluckily, we couldn’t go to the beach due to high tide in our 4 nights stay. We went to the beach in front of the Marrakesh resort instead. For those who like to stay on the beach, you may want to consider this before booking. Variety of the buffet breakfast was not bad, however, I saw some guests asking for expresso, cappuccino coffee which hotel was unable to provide. It wouldn’t be a bad idea for the management to invest on a decent coffee machine in the breakfast area, as I believe guests in general preferred a decent cup of coffee including myself.
The first thing to say is that this hotel might appear to be a beach hotel, but it isn't really. It sits back from the beach, and it's necessary to either take a buggy or walk for about 5 mins outside the hotel, across a road, and back onto another bit of land they have next to the beach, which has a restaurant and swimming pool - although at this time of the year, there isn't much beach anyway due to the high tides! Getting back to first things - check-in is fairly easy and the staff are helpful. We noticed a "smoke free hotel" award/sign behind reception - although later we noticed many people smoking inside the hotel grounds. When we asked the staff behind reception about this, they couldn't really answer, and said they didn't know how the hotel had got that award! The rooms are nice and modern, in 7 floor buildings, surrounding the central pool area. The pool itself is large (25m+) with lots of sun beds. Breakfast is good with a large selection, and they produce a constant supply of fried eggs so there's no need to wait too long. There's also Asian cuisine as well. There's a spa at the hotel too which is very nice, although priced according to hotel rates - quite a lot more than Thai style massage places nearby the hotel - although you do get a full spa experience at the hotel. Overall a nice bit of luxury for a couple of days!
We had been saving another trip to Hua Hin for tenth anniversary but ended up returning two years earlier! Although this hotel was not our first choice, rapidly increasing prices for the bigger brands brought us to the Amari.... and we loved it! From the offset, the Thai hospitality greeted us everywhere we went on the resort. Staff could not have done more to help us, check that we were ok and be on hand to help where needed. Every morning we were greeted with the most amazing spread and variety at breakfast, whilst finding a comfortable bed around the pool was a breeze. The large pool meant no excuses not to do a bit of swimming, and the gym was well maintained and equipped. We ate out every night and this was helped by the free shuttle bus into town. Night markets and restaurants are in easy walking distance of the shuttle drop off, whilst a tuk tuk back to the hotel was inexpensive. There was also a night market and craft market right on the doorstep of the hotel which made a nice change from going into town. Also within walking distance was a nice little British owned Thai restaurant (think it was called Ian’s), the Thai chef was amazing whilst the owner was always chatting to regulars.
Never disappoint when stay at Amari. Room is very clean and modern, a lot better than other 5 stars hotel in Hua Hin. Every staffs provided a promptly service to everyone. Breakfast is great with a lot varieties. Afternoon tea is very nice and good price, only 500 Baht per couple. Swimming pool is huge and very clean. Overall is always good, with a valued of money
It was a pleasant stay at Amari for a 5 day getaway from the bustling of the city. The room is very clean, breakfast is great and the facilities are wonderful. Its a short 10 mins walk to the nearest shopping mall so overall a nice spot.
This is my 2nd visit to this hotel and although it was very busy/full the service was truly amazing. Rooms are well equipped and this is a family friendly hotel. Breakfast was well organized and despite the hotel being almost full seating and choices/food was ample. Location is away from the beach area, but within the grounds there is lots to amuse children or your within 5-10 minutes drive to everything. Great Hotel and Great Value!
