St Regis is the perfect hotel for a relaxing weekend or business stop. The staff takes care of you as soon as you get on the property. Jennifer at the front desk made sure I had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The rooms are comfortable and well decorated. The bar/restaurant has great food and drink. You will not be disappointed if you choose this hotel.
This hotel does everything just right. We stayed here while in town for the wedding of a dear friend and the wedding reception was here as well. Every staff member is efficient and as friendly as can be. The rooms are beautiful. Comfy beds! We are several meals here. Restaurant and event facilities are excellent. Looking forward to staying here again soon!
reading the reviews I was a little worried what I would find, but needed have been, a very nice hotel, in nice condition, with helpful and friendly staff, what more do you need. Room of nice size and very quiet, and a nice bathroom. It would have been nice to have the option of tea as well as coffee in the room, but other than that it was 1st class. Also great concierge.
Excellent hotel. Love the spacey rooms and the cleanliness of the rooms. Love the slippers in the room as well. Gym is great and very clean with lots of water. Pool view is really nice from the gym. Service is great.
Very nice hotel. Close to great shopping. I have stayed there several times with my wife for a get away weekend. Nice restaurant and bar. Great service. The hotel is near my office. I have had many business associates book at this hotel. Always hear good things about the service provided.
Booked one night at this hotel for weekend trip to Houston. Great location near The Galleria. Drove up to hotel and no place to park. Had to valet car if you want to check-in then leave if you want to use your vehicle to drive around city. Decided to valet to check-in. Cost of valet is $35. Quick check-in. Mark checked in and also checked out the next day. He was very professional and courteous. Given room 614 and room was spacious and very clean. First time staying at a St Regis hotel and was impressed but have no other experience with this hotel brand to compare. Very nice room on first impressions. Very comfortable bed. Nice flat screen television. Room had a sitting area. Nice bathroom too. Carpet was clean. AC worked great. Temperature was set at 72 on arrival so room was pretty cold. Went to pool area around 10pm and nobody else out there. Did not get in pool just hung out in the pool area. Next day had breakfast at hotel restaurant The Remington. Very few people there when went down to eat. Breakfast was good. Server Noelia was very quick and efficient. Quick check-out the next day. Overall was very happy with stay at St Regis and will definitely be back when back to Houston.
Friends and I shared an exciting evening at The Remington Bar within The St. Regis. The ambiance exudes class and the impeccable service provided by manager Amy was first-rate. While enjoying the food and with the music truly hyped, patrons surrounded the stage(we did not have a clear view of the stage from where we sat). Amy, who personally assisted us, came over and said, "You all do know that's Cindy Lauper on stage?" Amy then commented, "You never know what you'll get at The St. Regis!" What a true statement. It was a guest appearance by the one and only. And, as everyone knows...and I'm saying this slowly... "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" and we want to have fun "Time After Time." Thank you for your wonderful service Amy and thank you St. Regis!
I am platinum member of Starwood (stay at a Starwood property every week) and enjoy most properties where even aloft and sheratons welcome me, thank me for being loyal customer, ask if I want points for platinum status, typically provide room upgrade and then offer water and chocolates, etc. at a minimum I am always placed on a club floor. tonight I checked into st Regis Houston which is higher end and the desk agent just asked if I wanted my points for platinum status. He handed me my room key and said elevators are to the left. Nothing else. He wasn't rude but rather acted very robotic and as if just another checkin. My 5 male colleagues of exactly same platinum status and room fee structure checked in this evening and received room upgrades on 11th floor, complimentary bottles of water, had a welcome note and chocolates in the room and visited by the butler to see if they need anything pressed. They said the front desk made a big deal about them checking in. This is consistent with how I am treated at st Regis New York. I am confused as there was no line when I checked in but it was certainly a completely different experience for me than my male colleagues. The hotel is not full. Interesting. Disappointing.
Loved this hotel. It was such a nice gem to find in this town. I'm a Starwood Staple guest and this St. Regis definitely lived up to its reputation. I was pleased with the room the bed linens and the gym facilities. This hotel had a phenomenal location close to downtown and the galleria. It also was renovated beautifully. I had a little trouble with the wifi but the concierge connected me directly with the IT support and got me up and running right away. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only complaint was around the food. My omelet was less than stellar and my breakfast order the following morning included expired, grainy Greek yogurt. My suggestion would be to revamp the kitchen staff and overall standards. It was a big let down not only in comparison with other St Regis hotels but with the Starwood brand in general.
We had a very comfortable stay here. We were in Houston for a week of appointments at The Menninger Clinic on Main St in SW Houston. I knew it was going to be a challenging week for us and I wanted to pick the best location so that traffic wouldn’t be a nightmare and we’d have a very comfortable home base. The St Regis delivered on both counts. I never had a traffic problem going to or from the clinic. I dropped off at 9am and picked up late afternoons. Several days I traveled back & forth 4- 5 times. Never a problem. I tell all of this in case anyone else is ever looking for where to stay while testing/visiting at Menninger. My husband had the St Regis have a floral arrangement in our room when we arrived on Mother’s Day. Absolutely the most gorgeous flowers I’ve ever received! I could tell it had been done by the same florist they use for their fresh flowers in the lobby. The smell was heavenly! Our Astor Floor double room was a good size and very nice although I’d say the bathroom was a bit disappointing/dated for a St Regis. The valet staff was wonderfully patient as I exited & re-entered multiple times per day! Sadly, I had a bad car accident which totaled both vehicles involved but we were okay. The hotel’s car service took me to a CVS for prescriptions and were very sweet to me knowing it was a very tough week indeed! The location allowed us easy access to some very good restaurants in the area and room service was expensive but very delicious! We didn't really see a butler all week and some service around the pool would have been nice. But all in all, we couldn’t have asked for more!
