Although I looked forward to staying at The Waters, it's unlikely I would stay there again. Whenever possible, I try to reserve a room with disability access since it affords more room for the money. I had an accessible king room at The Waters and it was spacious enough to be an apartment. I loved that the room did not front on Central Avenue, so it was serenely quiet. What puzzled me though was the bathroom had a bath tub! Fortunately I have no mobility problems but those that do may want to inquire if an accessible room without a tub is available. The Waters was thoughtfully renovated and generally encompasses the best of the old and the new. One exception was the transom and sidelights on the doors to the unit. Although they were painted, there were slivers of light seeping through the edges of the glass and the window molding. What made it annoying was that these shafts of light hit the head of the bed, so I had to sleep with my head at the foot of the bed. I suspect that this went unnoticed by the interior designers and painters. An couple easy fixes come to mind - make sure the paint on the glass goes to the molding or switch the placement of the bed and the TV credenza. I wanted to love The Waters but was disappointed by this lack of attention to detail.
Great location if you want downtown. Very comfortable with a touch of the old and the new. Walk to the bath houses and restaurants. If I am ever in Hot Springs again The Waters will be my hotel. Fine staff .
We go to Hotsprings about every other month and have for the past year. We have tried several places but the Waters is great. A lot of thought to stay with the history of the building went along with the remodeling. Every modern up to date convenience. Very large rooms, bed, and bathroom. The outside of the building looks great. The staff were some of the best we have encountered. We got there at 140am and they were waiting to park our vehicle and get us in our room. Always very very nice. We love the Ohio Club which is next door so really convenient and in the middle of downtown across from the bath houses and the park. Couldn't have ask for a better stay and can't wait to go back.
What a gem of a hotel. The staff (Justin, Matthew, Eric plus more that I know I'm forgetting) were friendly and professional. Loved the muffins, fruit and more in the mornings plus he gave me honey to take to the room for my honey! The rooms were very clean and loved the walk-in shower. You are with-in walking distance to all the attractions. Will def. stay here again when we are passing through. Keep up the great work!
I spent last night ( 09/23/2019) there because my wife is in a conference, Her company rented all available rooms at the Waters and the Arlington. I returned home today but my wife has 2 more days there unless I can talk her into staying elsewhere. They park your vehicle for you and return upon your request. When I arrived I had a 3/4 tank of gas and this morning I had zero gas. My wife has the vehicle there which is missing over $200.00 in towing equipment. The hotel and staff are excellent but the security of your vehicle is questionable. After checking replacement cost for missing items, taxes and shipping then add in the missing gas and last night cost me around $378.00
We enjoyed this hotel. Very comfortable and spacious airy rooms ( We had two between us , quieter and no view at the back, street view and more noise at the front, your choice).Perfect location and ideal valet parking at a reasonable charge adds the final touch of convenience. Staff very pleasant and helpful, useful fridge in room and complimentary water. Bed large and very comfortable. Handy spacious bar and restaurant adjoining with complimentary coffee and muffins etc. in the morning. If we ever visit Hot Springs again this is the only place we would stay in the town.
Stayed here over Labor Day weekend 2019 and could not have been more impressed. This hotel is literally smack dab in the middle of the historic district and directly across from bathhouse row. The early 1900s style building was charming while still keeping the rooms very modern. There is a bar/restaurant on site that’s very upscale. We did not eat there but did have drinks. Staff was over the top accommodating and the best!!!! Rooms were great no problems at all. Coffee machines , fridge, safe in the room . Housekeeping did a great job all week keeping our room tidy. You are walking distance from everything in the historic district which is a plus . Hotel does offer valet parking which is helpful during busy times. While figuring out what to do that day we would chill in the lobby with a drink and just people watch on the street. I am already looking forward to my next stay here!!
Stayed here twice now and had great experiences. They did a great job of keeping the nostalgia of the building while updating it. The staff is exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The rooms are big, quiet, great temperature control, and has all the amenities you need. Plenty of outlets, nice working desk, and the bed is very comfortable. I do like the bottle of mineral water provided in the room as well. The location can’t be beat as it’s on the main road through town and right next door to the Ohio Club (though you’d never know it). I look forward to returning.
The staff really care about you and the hotel. Great place right by the "bath houses" steeped in history and a beautiful place to stay. Rebuilt 2 years ago after 10 years being closed. Built in 1906 it is the perfect mix of old 1906 building with 2019 needs... iphone charger built into the bed... against a marble wall that has been there since 1905... amazing. They have a little quiet garden in between the 3rd and 4th floor that is super amazing. The Avenue was wonderful and the pizza place down the street was the best pizza we have had in a long long time. For the price it is the best place to stay.
Husband and I took a long weekend trip up to Hot Springs and enjoyed staying at this adorable little gem that sits right in the middle of it all! So cool to see someone take something old and repurpose it in such a cool way.
