We experienced damp and mould issues in our room that caused a strong smell and left both me and my partner coughing badly to the point we couldn’t sleep. When we raised this with reception a few days in, the response was dismissive and lacking urgency - we were told to wait until the next day for availability with no apology or concern shown.
We had to ask again later that same day as the room was unbearable, and only then were we moved to another room. Sadly, the new room wasn’t much better, just slightly less damp. Again, no apology or empathy was shown - it felt like we were a burden.
Thankfully, this trip was just one week instead of two. We wouldn’t have lasted any longer. It really put a downer on what should have been a special trip.
We would not return to this hotel.
