Great Vacation

The house was perfect for our family. It was clean and very close to the beach! It was great being able to walk back and forth to the beach. We had a great vacation! We saw a beautiful sunrise over the ocean and saw dolphins as well! Kids gathered nice shells on the beach!

Once again, we had a great stay

This is our second time staying at Sweet Carolina. The location is PERFECT! Super easy to drive to from central NC and the ease of heading to the beach meant that we could maximize our time on the sand despite having 1 kid who might need to go back to the house at a moment's notice. Well kept. Great ammenities.

Absolute gem!

Stayed at Sweet Carolina with 3 young kids. We loved the location. So easy to hit the beach twice a day with a nap in between. The Kroms clearly put a lot of care into this place. It is well maintained and had everything we needed.

Perfect beach house

Our favorite Place!

This is the second time staying at Sweet Carolina. We love the house, the layout and the location. Its close to the beach and has an awesome hang out underneath where we can grill and eat. The owners are very responsive and accommodating. House is always clean and welcoming. We will be booking this house again!

Beach!

We visited Surf City as a family of six including two little kids and grandparents. The best part of this stay was the location - sooo close to the beach, which was exactly what we wanted for this short trip. We loved the front porch, the outdoor shower, and it was great to have two bathrooms as well as four bedrooms. We travel with sound machines, which was helpful for the rooms that were next to each other. And we also brought our own travel high chair and play yard. If you’re traveling with babies or toddlers, keep that in mind. Communication leading up to our trip was easy, as was front door access. Overall, it was a good stay and again, just so great to be half a block from beach access! Thank you!

The house was exactly as listed. Very clean and well stocked. Being steps away from the beach was amazing! The adults and teens really enjoyed the hammock and swings under the house. Sean was very easy to reach.

Loved it!

Beautiful house steps away from the beach access, only downfall was the keypad shorted out on us while at the beach and I did not bring my phone to be able to contact Vrbo! But luckily the Kroms did have a ring doorbell that we were able to get in touch with them through and were able to get inside. Other than that our trip was fantastic.

Wonderful Week at Sweet Carolina

We loved the location! We were able to be on the sand within a 2 minute walk from the house. The under the house area was amazing! Kept us outside with a comfortable breeze and we loved the hammock swings!. Living room was large enough for all 6 of us to hang out comfortably. There was nothing we didn’t like about our trip. Will definitely be back!

Definitely recommend this house!

The house was amazing! It was very clean and organized. We had everything we needed. The best part was the underneath portion of the house. The hammock swings were great to relax in. Its a really short walk to the beach and you can still see the ocean from the porch. We definitely want to stay here again!

Almost Beachside!

We enjoyed staying in the home. Everything went smoothly from checkin to checkout. The walk to the beach was effortless and outdoor shower was super nice. Having a paved surface under the home was great for our two year old to play in and we enjoyed the hammocks. And lots of games inside for kids to play. We never turned on the tv! Gas grill on porch is a feature hard to find in other homes. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and water pressure great! We appreciated the supply of paper products and soaps. Only wish is that there was an ice maker in freezer. Overall we all enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

Great Thanksgiving Getaway!

We rented Sweet Carolina for a few days over Thanksgiving so we could visit with our son who is currently at Camp Lejeune. It is the perfect distance from the base - only about 30 minutes max - and the cottage is adorable! The beach is literally steps away and the weather was nice enough that we spent a lot of time near the water on Thanksgiving day. The cottage was updated and very clean. The bedrooms were large. The bathrooms were newly updated and large, as well. The owners were awesome and even left a light on for us since we arrived late at night. The neighbor across the street came over to check on us and let us know they were there if we needed anything. We all truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book here again when we return to visit our son. Thanks so much!

Wonderful location!

We spent a long weekend here for my moms birthday and we had a great time. Location is perfect, literally across the street beach access and the home was so accommodating! Would highly recommend! Would definitely love another trip here!

Superb house and location

We really like Topsail Island and this house has a great location. Just a one minute walk to the water, the house is situated on a street with very little traffic but close enough to the shops for a convenient trip or a pleasant walk down the beach to the pier. The 3bed/2 full bath setup was great for our family. And we also enjoyed the hammocks and swings under the house for relaxing in the morning or evening. We’ll visit again and recommend to others.

My family thoroughly enjoyed the convenience to the beach access and relaxing when my grandson allowed us to relax. The house was very comfortable and pleasant. Heather and Sean definitely opened their house to us and made sure the entire week was pleasant.

Great location and plenty of room for family of six!

Our family of six big people (mom, dad, and four young adult kids) had a wonderful vacation at Heather and Sean's place. The house is exactly as pictured and described. We loved that there were 4 bedrooms and 5 beds in all, and the hangout area under the house expanded the living/gathering space. We were concerned about only having the one A/C unit, but amazingly it kept the main areas super-cold and bedrooms comfortable if you leave the doors open. The location was fantastic--you can see the whitecaps from the little deck, and it's an easy walk to the beach. A huge plus is the free use of the Krom's beach gear-there were several chairs, boogie boards and umbrellas so we didn't have to travel with or buy/rent a bunch of stuff. The owners were prompt with messages and check-in/check-out were very straightforward. It was our first stay in Surf City, which has several cute eateries and the pier. We loved that the house was not too far from the bridge, which made groceries just 6-7 minutes away, and close to the intercoastal waterway and sound (there is a lovely Soundside Park and boardwalk just a few minutes down the main road). All in all, the place served our needs perfectly!

Family visit to a Slice of Heaven!!!! Our most beautiful vacation ever!!!!!💙

This was our first visit to the East Coast from Kentucky!!!!! Topsail Island is amazing!!!!! Surf City a small little gorgeous town & perfect family getaway!!!! Would move there if I could, maybe someday!!!! We were only a 2 min or less walk to the beautiful beach & awesome Atlantic Ocean!!!!! We had the best host & hostess who responded to any question I had quickly!! Would love to meet them in person, but felt their kindness in every conversation!!! Their house was perfect & their neighbors who reside there year round were helpful, precious & very kind offering their assistance if we had any questions or needs from day one!!!! They were a joy to meet & know were close by if we needed them!! We Loved our temporary home which was a very spacious, 4 bedrooms with a large bathroom all with beautiful decor!!! We had all the essentials of home including full kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, dish/cook/silverware & full size washer & dryer in the utility room!! We had an open dining room into our living room comfortable furniture, a huge flat screen smart TV with Roku system & free safe Wi-Fi!! We set no alrm clocks & relaxed inside & out each day!! Working as a Respiratory Therapist for 20 yrs with an undescribable last 16 mths during the Pandemic, this rest was very much needed!!! Outside we had a beautiful deck/porch with relaxing chairs that you could enjoy the ocean view from!!!! We had two hammocks, charcoal grill, picnic table, 2 chairs we could take to the beach, shower & waterhose for sand cleanup!!!! Safe parking under house or in drive with garbage & recycling bins for easy clean-up! We had a one of a kind vacation & hope we have the privilege of staying here again!!!! Thank you again for sharing your Gorgeous Slice of Heaven with my family Heather & Sean!!!!!🌞
