We stayed here for 6 nights and it was nothing but amazing. Staff were very helpful and polite ans rhe resort was clean and very relaxing. the resort is situates 5minutes drive from the centre of town but you sont have to worry because the resort has a shuttle bus to take you in and pick you up every two hours. They also provide a shuttle bus to the beah every afternoon. i would highly recommend this resort, as it is conveniently located and very pleasant.
Cannot recommend enough!! The staff are really friendly and accommodating, the pool is as picturesque as the images provided, the rooms were lovely with air conditioning. The location was great - peaceful by the riverside and the resort provided a shuttle bus to get to the beach and town which was excellent!
Superior double room. Great location, close to birth the beach and the town. Just a short ride by car or bike. Shuttle service is efficient and on time. The property is very green with a nice view on the river. Very peaceful. Swimming pool is nice. Breakfast ok. Rooms need some work, they feel a bit old and would benefit from a renovation. Staff is really great and always helpful
I would like to compliment the staff as they are wonderful but management are disgraceful as is the resort. We came over for a relaxing time and to celebrate my birthday believing this resort was 4 star and ideal to relax and enjoy Hoi An and the wonderful sites around. Well it turned out to be a nightmare with door panels cracked allowing insects in air conditioner not working properly and geckos in the room. We ate here once and never again as my sweet and sour pork ordered was cooked with hair (human). I alerted management to these issues but very little was done. I would never ever stay in this place again and would strongly suggest that any travellers intending to stay here have second thoughts. I have travelled in many countries so far and stayed in various resorts and hotels but never come across such poor service. It's as if once paid they don't care. When you travel you expect to receive what you pay for unfortunately for us this was not the case.
We stayed for 6 nights at the Riverside Resort & Spa and loved it!! It is perfectly located and has that magical feel and charm that is rare. Location We first thought it was a bit too far from the old town, but this turned out to be its advantage. Thanks to the resort's free shuttle bus service (always on time) and the bicycles you could hire for free, it was so easy to get into Hoi An Old Town or to the beach. The beach is only a 5 minute bike ride away, and we took quiet streets through rice paddies when we cycled into town or explored the surrounds like Cam Kim island or along the rivers. Each time we returned to the resort, it felt like coming home to an oasis. Hoi An is full of tourists and scooters and noise, so coming back to the quiet and peace of the resort was fantastic. Room We stayed in a suite at the back of the resort with stunning view over the river and rice paddies (even from the toilet!). The room was huge and comfortable, and everything was functional. So was the bathroom. It was lovely to wake up to the sound of the roosters in the morning and hearing people in the neighbourhood working and going on with their daily lives. It had ceiling fan and an aircon, so you could choose. Breakfast Right next to the river, there is a covered area with a big buffet with fresh fruit, pho, omelet, pastries, bread, local hot food, eggs cooked as you like them, great coffee etc. The service is fantastic, especially Hien who is super attentive and just lovely! In my opinion breakfast is the only area with room for improvement. Yoghurt and bananas are available but not laid out at the buffet tables, it would be great to present these items together with the other foods. Pool It is big for the place, clean, has enough sun loungers, tables with chairs, and umbrellas. We couldn't wish for a better place to stay in Hoi An and would stay there again.
While the location of this place is as the photos show and that is beautiful, I too cannot understand how it is rated four star. I will start with the positives as they became more obvious as we accepted the fact that it was not all we had hoped and decided to enjoy what was there for our 6 night stay. The staff were overall friendly, especially Hein at breakfast. Most of them made every effort to answer our questions and fulfill our needs. Most issues were certainly not their fault. The pool was itself was kept clean with supplies of towels usually good. However cleaning of rubbish left by some guests eg cigarette butts and even a cotton bud, was not done daily - the rubbish seemed to be pushed into the garden behind. Drinks and food could be ordered and delivered. The location on the river is lovely with rice fields, buffalos, fishing boats, birds and sunsets to sit and watch. We enjoyed this from both our balcony and from the breakfast area. The shuttle service was regular and prompt with safe drivers who welcomed us back aboard each time. When the shuttle was full a taxi was called for the overflow without hesitation. Breakfast was an area which fell a bit below the 4 star. The range was good but it seemed that there was a reluctance to restock items as they were finished (fruit, pastries) especially for those wanting a later breakfast. While I understand the issue of wastage perhaps asking late comers if there is anything in particular they would like may lead to less disappointment. The gym equipment seemed rather old and not what is expected in a 4 star facility. There was no treadmill which is one of the basics needed for maintaining training. Reception and room service seemed to close at 10pm, again not what I would expect. I attempted to get a knife to peel fruit one night just after 10 but was told this was impossible. The spa facilities were in need of an upgrade to warrant the rating. We had a look and decided to go elsewhere for similar or lower price. However it was the rooms which were most disappointing for us. We had three rooms for family members and all showed the need for maintenance. When we walked in, shabby was the word that jumped to mind. There seemed to be art work missing from the wall and a touchup paint job on the ceiling. Within the first hour we were having to deal with a broken toilet seat and an airconditioning unit that did not work. The airconditioning units in 2 of the rooms were not able to cope with the temperatures even at night. The fittings are very dated and screens don't slide closed (meaning the rooms could not be opened at night to cool down due to insect bites). The paintwork is in need of renewal both inside and out. The toiletries were erratically supplied and replaced (no soap on arrival and again on another day), although staff provided when asked. The kettle for boiling water in one room had a damaged cord. There is a notice placed on the road boundary saying the resort is undergoing maintenance and we saw some evidence of new glass being delivered and gardening being done. However there was no mention of this either on checkin or in our rooms. I have waited nearly 2 weeks before writing this review so that my immediate disappointment has passed and I hope this has allowed a balanced review. Perhaps things will improve, maybe they already have, but on our experience I would say don't pay 4 star prices for this.
The staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. But this resort is a "forgotten project " which is on a minimum budget or run on next to nothing. Our the first room was not suitable so we moved to a larger room at the rear of the property. Next was much larger with lovely riverviews but a/c was not efficient to cool the room to sleep comfortably .The toilet seat was so stained we had to request a new one which was replaced. The gym had 3 pieces of equipment from the 90's with torn vinyl seats. We arrived on a weekend to a resort full of with young families with children using the pool during the day then running up /downstairs ,slamming doors and yelling till late. Weekdays the clientel changed ,Aussies spending days by the pool and tour groups . It seems to be a budget style hotel on the river........All staff did their utmost to accommodate to their guests needs. Realistically this facility needs a major upgraded........
First time in Vietnam and first hotel. Absolutely loved it. Lovely riverside room with a view of the river and paddy fields. Friendly helpful staff, regular free shuttles several times daily to Hoi An town (5-10 mins away) and local beach (5-10 mins away) with the resort's private access to beach and restaurants. Yummy filling buffet breakfasts catering for non Asian and Asian people, a la carte menu also available till around 930pm. Lovely Vietnamese food. Has a bar with reasonable prices. Nice pool. No other kids amenities. Will go back any day. The only "downer" was communication. We are kiwis and on several occasions, there were misunderstandings between us and the staff. All resolved amicably tho
This hotel is beautiful and its surroundings are very relaxing; it does not feel like a touristy town. The view from our room was amazing and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was great and there was a variety of delicious fresh fruit. A free shuttle is provided by the hotel both to/from the beach and the old town a couple times a day.
We loved our stay at this beautiful hotel. The room was spacious, airy, bright and peaceful with a delightful view of the river and had a tastefully appointed bathroom. Mr. Nam (GM) looked after us kindly and thoughtfully. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. And we had some delicious meals. We were very happy indeed and hope to come again soon!
