We spent 3 nights here on our trip in Hoi An and it was a good experience. On arrival, we received warm welcoming from front desk staff which was a good start. Room was specious with balcony facing to river. Breakfast was good with many choices and friendly staff in restaurant. This place has small pool that is very nice after a long- hot day outside This is located on Cua Dai street that is not right in town but just 10 minutes by bicycle and I felt it is still very good location. In general, I would recommend this place!

Yes it is on the river, but the facade and the interior needs a serious makeover. Our room was comfortable and clean but peeling paint, cracked plaster, water stains etc were a little off putting. You ask why I have then given it 4 stars? Well it was the staff who made up for the cosmetic shortfalls, they are friendly and nothing was a problem. Breakfast was well balanced and the mojito made by Trần was once of the best.

I've posted reviews for the Hoi An Riverside and Spa in the past. I love this resort for many reasons. Now there are many many fine hotels in Hoi An of all different standards for the disconcerting traveller, so why do I always stay at this resort ? Well, I'm not that keen on concrete hotels with concrete swimming pools of which there are many in Hoi An. No, I love the Riverside for the garden layout, the individual chalets, the trees, hedges and the flowers. The gardens are very well laid out and it is obvious lots of care and attention have been put in to maintain the standards. A beautiful swimming pool, surrounded by coconut trees....all this and a stunning river setting. The staff are fantastic, many are new from my previous visits, however no less attentive and keen to ensure that your stay is as enjoyable as possible. Special thanks to my new friends in the reception, Supervisor TinTin, the beautiful Dung, Ms Chao Chao and Ms Trainee !! Thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome, this resort is fantastic, a true " home-from-home" Cam on Dino, Aberdeen Scotland.

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights absolutely wonderful! Staff were sensational, facilities were great and being in between the beach and old town was perfect! Best of both worlds. Just far enough from town and the beach for peace and quiet at the end of the day!

We booked at the hoi an riverside because we were looking for a quiet and river view. I m working in 5 stars hospitality, from my side and for a 4 star "resort" : Check in was fine, but lack of professionalism. Facilities looks old and need a bit of refresh. Pool is just in front of guests entrance so not that private. We had a room at 3rd floor (palm tree view more than river) and ask if it would be possible to have 2nd floor for a better view. The receptionist make it possible. Thanks for her we enjoyed then. Room are nice, bed comfortable and clean linen. bathroom and amenities was good. Back to the hotel at sunset time we had The boat tour for an hour it was really lovely and relaxing. Shower time was surprising because no hot water. After calling réception, engineering came and fix it in 15minutes. We appreciate the quick solving problems. Breakfast was for us, too poor in terms of quality price and selection, juice not home made and cool. Staff didn't ask about our stay and didn't say hello. Not professional for 4stars. View was the only good point. Fitness and pool table looks very old and not attractive. Spa empty and not very clean (beer can drop on table) From my side no one asked me about my stay and if we enjoyed. As I stayed the night before in 4 stars close by, looks totally different it was a big gap. If I can give you few advise, staff should be train on English and promote activities to increase your revenues. As river activities, dinner of Lunch on it, spa discount. Close for few weeks for refurbishment, invest in new linen table at restaurant, and remove this old dusty things. Regards, Mickael

a lovely hotel with a pleasant view to the river. a bit far from the beach and the town if you walk. fortunately they have the shuttle bus service to the town. limited selection breakfast. small but good pool.

A little bit outside the centre of town, in a quiet area with its buildings located along a river. The furniture and the bath are kept simple, but sufficient. Honestly I do prefer thoose rustic accomodations compared to the luxury or standard setting of hotel chains. The pool was nicely set, the garden between the houses as well and from our small terrace we could enjoy a romantic sundown in front of our room. Breakfast buffet was OK, wifi of poor performance, no parking facility.

A lovely location on the river overlooking rice fields. Rooms comfortable although decor needs updating. Attention to detail is missing here and I was surprised it was listed as 4 stars and promoted as "the best boutique resort in Vietnam" . Hmm...not in my experience. I was expecting better facilities eg a relaxing cocktail round the pool. There is a small pool just off reception just inside the front gate and I would have tried it and accepted the facilities as "quaint" but our breakfast experience was so disappointing that it was a turn off to linger anywhere but in our room. Food was poorly presented and tasteless. Buffet selection limited and juice dispensers dirty. Balcony chairs rusty. Shuttle bus service works well. Staff pleasant and doing their best. Booked for 3 nights but only stayed for 1. Tried not to be too precious but used to much higher standards for the price especially when spoilt for choice. Not recommended.

Its in the detail. There is an underlying lack of standards that you dont expect from a business using the word "resort". Is it a resort? Well not in my universe but they might argue that strictly speaking they are. Semantics really. Dont waste your time on it. Is it a spa? Same answer. Is it a hotel that shouts attention to detail, that prides itself on cleanliness? No semantics now, just no no no. We booked for 3 nights but could not stand the lack of standards. Moved out after one. Guys get yourself a good manager and start again. Better still close down for 6 months, refurbish, renew and find some pride in your job. This place is not recommended in any respect.

A tranquil place especially if you ask for a room with a balconey beside the river and the padi fields. Dung the receptionist was most helpful with your everyday requests. Unfortunately when we were there she was working double shifts over 16 hrs. And the previous night her shift ended at 11pm and had to return to work again at 6am. She was alone manning the reception counter all through our stay. The management should look into this. Othewise highly recommended that you stay here. Excellent staff and reasonable rooms. Free shuttle bus to hoi an ancient town at selected times. Pay 75000vnd per trip and you get limousine luxury transfers to the airport on your departure. Very reasonable.
