Toogooloowa 4 is a North East facing 2 bedroom upstairs on the first floor large stylish eclectic and sunny apartment with a blend of contemporary, ethnic and antique furniture to complement modern fittings appliances and services.
Large double glazed windows frame the spectacular views to Mount Wellington and Hobart city and provide a warm light filled environment with plenty of room to accommodate up to 6 people.

Bedroom 1 has luxury king size bed which can on request be separated to make comfortable twin beds.
Bedroom 2 has a very comfortable queen bed and antique wardrobe.
The large enclosed veranda has lots of space with a double sofa bed and room for a single foldout bed.

Children are most welcome.

To keep things cozy the apartment has a modern gas log fire, double glazing for an even temperature & noise reduction.

To relax the apartment has a 37" High def LCD TV with DVD player.

To keep in touch free Wifi Broadband is available on request.
The service is always available for standard email and browsing but is not suitable for gaming nor downloading large volumes.

Facilities in the large fully equipped kitchen include ceramic cook top, oven, dishwasher and full sized refrigerator.
There is an onsite laundry and one car park available for guests.

Complimentary welcoming first morning light breakfast pack including Coffee, Tea, Cereal, milk and bread and spreads, as well as eggs from our free range heritage hens while they are laying, provided.

Portable cot is also available on request but we don't provide linen for it.

Upper Davey Street historic precinct

Toogooloowa is superbly located at the quiet end of Davey Street with an easy 1.8 km walk down to the Hobart CBD, Salamanca and the waterfront or to the University of Tas.

It is situated among the grand old heritage homes of upper Davey St just a short stroll along historic garden lined streets to South Hobart's shops and restaurants to the Cascade brewery and the Hobart Rivulet walk.

This self contained apartment is the perfect home away from home. Suitable for short or longer stays all at a very reasonable tariff.

If you are considering a sea-change and moving to Tasmania or visiting UTAS for a summer school or semester special arrangements can be made for longer stays.



Toogooloowa

This apartment occupies the upper floor on the Northern side of Toogoolowa a beautiful heritage listed Victorian mansion which surrounds the original colonial 2 room cottage built as the first dwelling in the area during the early 1800s and the Georgian extension that was built over and around the cottage some years later.

Visitors are welcome to smell the roses and relax in the huge overgrown wild garden with splendid views to Mount Wellington at the rear of Toogooloowa. Apartment 4 has exclusive use of the large upper Victorian veranda with splendid views to Mt Wellington and the city.
The apartment is heated and features a kitchen and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, an electric kettle, and an ironing board.

Great stay with amazing mountain views. Close to everything but with chooks and wallabies in the back yard. Hill street south Hobart is just around the corner and also a great cafe.

Perfectly positioned.
Lovely old mansion divided into units. Its showing the passage of time but still a stately old girl. Our unit was warm and inviting, double glazing ensured the cold stayed out and the aspect was perfect for trapping the light and heat. We really enjoyed our stay , it was the perfect jumping off point for exploring. Not for those wanting an upmarket experience but perfect if you want to feel immersed in Hobart as it was.

We enjoyed our short stay in Hobart, and would try and get this place again. John and Jason were responsive and helpful in getting us into the apartment and it had everything we needed for a delightful stay. we were only sorry we only spent 3 nights, we should have been there at least 3 more! Thank you for a lovely clean apartment, that more than met our needs.

Not up to scratch for a Premier host title
This is apartment number 4. While yes parts of the apartment were clean, I would not consider it a clean property when there are thick cobwebs around one of the beds and on various pieces of furniture. Multiple rugs are in poor condition and have big stain marks. The property had an old, dusty smell and due to windows that didn’t open or were impossible to open, you cannot air it out. One of the “bedrooms “ only had sheer curtains which is not conducive for sleeping. I am not sure how this property can be given a premier host title compared to other properties I’ve stayed at. I have never had an issue before with various other properties we’ve stayed at. We basically took our bags in then turned around and left which is something we have never done before. The host kindly refunded our money which we greatly appreciate. There is no doubt the view from the veranda was beautiful. They also kindly provide milk and breakfast cereals for those that stay. The process for getting the keys was easy and fast. Communication was good. I’m sorry to leave this review given that they refunded us, but I base my bookings on reviews and premier host ranking and I believe it fell well short compared to all of my other experiences.
