Here we are talking about an authentic vacation home with thatched roof and brick facade. Step into a spacious interior that has not skimped on coziness and has been decorated with heartfelt details. Get cozy with your family in this daylit hearty cottage, turn to card games or eat delicious meals. Outside, a barbecue also awaits you to make your evenings even more enjoyable and to enjoy time together.
In Højer you will find e.g. the largest Dutch windmill in Northern Europe from 1857, where you can experience the history of milling and the natural and cultural history of the Tøndermarsch and the Wadden Sea. The trip can also go to Møgeltønder, for example, where Schackenborg Castle is located. The castle is not open to the public, but in the summer there is the possibility to take part in guided tours of the Schackenborg Castle Garden. Tønder, Denmark's oldest trading town, is also worth a visit. Here stands Sønderjyllands Kunstmuseum with the Water Tower, which has a permanent exhibition of Wegner furniture and a fantastic view of the town, the Vidåen stream and the marshland. The town has many exciting pedestrian activities during the year and many good stores and restaurants. The shopping trip can possibly be complemented by a trip across the Danish/German border, which runs about 10 km from the property. Discover the Wadden Sea National Park and experience nature like nowhere else in Denmark. Spring and autumn offer, among other things, the magnificent natural phenomenon "black sun", where thousands of starlings give performances of aerial acrobatics, and in the evening and morning in the marsh dance the sun black.

Gemütliches Haus
Sehr gemütliches Haus mit guter Ausstattung und liebevoller Deko. An manchen Stellen lag noch ganz schön viel Staub und das kleine Schlafzimmer ist wirklich sehr klein. Aber sonst gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Schöner Garten. War ein erholsamer Aufenthalt!
