Family Vacation in Hilton Head Island 6/22/24 - 6/29/24

We've enjoyed our family vacation in Hilton Head Island from 6/22/24 to 6/29/24. The condo was clean, spacious, and it had a beautiful view of private beach in South Bay of Sea Pines Plantation. There was a short walk from the condo to the private beach, and to a private swimming pool for its condo community and guest members.

Perfect!

We have stayed in many different places at Hilton Head over the past 35 years and this was by far the best view, proximity to beach, well appointed, updated, and cleanest place. We had long beach walks, bicycle rides, trips to Salty Dog, and sunset views from our beach or balcony. We will be back!

April beach vacation

Property was just as advertised, clean and everything worked great. Turned out that this unit does not actually have the tennis membership so that was the only disappointment. Beach is easy access and very nice spot. Pool was cleaned every morning and well taken care of. Excellent unit.

Lovely location and beautiful property!

This was one of our favorite locations on HHI! Walking distance to Salty Dog and a quiet location within Sea Pines. The property was clean and well-stocked. We look forward to returning!

Great quiet getway

Usually rent the same house in Lands End at the very end of Sea Pines, however it was not available this fall. Decided to do a condo unit and this was a newly renovated unit that was perfect for our family of 4. Big wrap around balcony, quiet, yet can walk to Salty Dog, private beach access, pool was great, everything very clean and to the rental description. No issues with any of the building amenities, elevator was quick and quiet, parking is easy and again very quiet area of south beach. Would definitely stay again.

Not worth the price

So for the amount that we were paying for this place per day we would have expected a better place. Here were the things that were wrong with the place - Fan in living room didn't work well at least the remote did - the AC in the bedroom with 2 beds didnt' work. The rest of condo did but that room was always hot and humid - the fan in the master bedroom didnt work - the bed in the master bedroom was terrible, it was like sleeping on a banana boat and the headboard was leaving over and broken it seemed - One of the blinds in the living room didn't open or work - Lighting in the master bedroom is terrible and only 2 lamps which were dimly lite - TV's didn't have cable and i believe just Roku so you can't watch live TV if you wanted to. It had cable boxes but didn't work or at least no instructions on how to operate - The AC unit in the master bedroom is terrible loud so you can't even sleep in peace and quiet - I tried to ask the property management company but no one was answering so i just gave up - If you keep the washer and dryer closet closed the sweat from the dyer for some reason beads up ooutside of the dryer on the door and all over the closet and keeps on beeping for some reason even when the clothes were wet. - They didn't have a baking rack of any sort for baking in the oven. I would hope the property mgt company calls me to give me some sort of refund for this place beacuse i would not use VRBO for this place again

Does a unit and location get any better?

This unit is as advertised plus a whole lot more. The unit is beautiful and has everything you need and a view to kill. Location is on a quiet part of the island, way inside Sea Pines resort. We sat for hours on the wrap-around deck watching the pelicans dive into the ocean and the dolphins swimming up and down the channel. There are 8 to 9 deer who live in the bushes just on the backside of the pool. Each day the deer would come out and meander along the dunes or up on the grass of the complex to eat. The pool was great, the ocean is at your doorstep and the beach was fantastic. Tennis, bike rentals, shopping and food/drink at Salty Dog were all a three minute walk away. Bike paths meandered around Sea Pines Resort making it a nice experience. This was our first time staying on this part of the island and by far the best experience so far (away from the crowds)(been going down to the island for 5 years now).
