Cozy home in a great location

Be Still was perfect for a weekend getaway in Highlands! The home was conveniently located, clean and well appointed. Our toddlers loved the game selection.

Beautiful a frame

Perfect location, beautiful neighborhood to walk the dogs, peaceful and convenient. Pictures don’t do the cabin justice. It is adorable and very nicely decorated.

First visit to Highlands

Perfect little house for us. It was our first visit to Highlands, for a wedding. Great, convenient spot. Felt very private while still very close to town.

My wife and I stayed here recently for our anniversary weekend. We were very happy with the cottage and location relative to Main Street. The owners have put a lot of love in this cottage and it shows. We had one issue with the internet and it was resolved in a matter of minutes by the owner reaching out to the provider. If you're looking for a cozy cottage that feels secluded, but is only a short distance to all the shops/restaurants you've found it! Highly recommended!

Quick Anniversary Getaway

We loved Be Still with its charm, location, and relevant appointments. It had everything we needed and was central to downtown and the hiking trails we wanted to do. It was so clean and perfect for the two of us to get away and rest up for a weekend. The master bed was so comfortable I joked with my husband about booking it for just myself to come sleep at some point. We loved it and hope to come back!

Just Right

This property was just right for our family get-away. Great location, clean, comfortable, private but most of all you could tell the owners put their heart into this property. It was evident immediately upon arrival the pride and love that went into the renovations and modern upgrades. We enjoyed our stay immmensly....thank you!

Great communication

We stayed at Be Still for two of the coldest nights possible, low temperatures of 6 and 3 degrees. The host made sure we would stay warm by scheduling a furnace service just before we checked in and also provided some wood for the wood burning stove. Great communication before our arrival made everything go smoothly. We had a great time spending some cozy time together after some cold snow tubing and hikes.

Great location and very comfortable home.

Very comfortable 2 bedroom/2 bath A frame house. One bedroom is upstairs with 2 twin beds with another twin bed in the small loft area on the way to the bedroom. The bathroom with shower is downstairs which my adult daughter and her friend used to get ready for a wedding. Good master bedroom downstairs with a nice bathroom and large closet. The kitchen/living area is comfortable and there is a deck right off the kitchen looking into the woods. There were 3 of us and it was perfect! My wife couldn’t make it but the house would easily handle a 4th person. The location is great! You have about a 10 minute walk to town or a quick drive. You can tell the owners care about the home. They provided every we needed, it was very comfortable, and the location fantastic. It was great for us!

Cozy and charming

Our family of three spent some cozy, quiet time in this lovely cabin! The rain interrupted a lot of our plans so it was great to have this place to just chill out. The two bathrooms are great if you have a larger family as not a lot of rentals in the area have that. The cabin is in a great location and indeed near town - be warned, there are some steep up and down hills before getting to the main road so if it's wet and you have a stroller - be careful! Everything was well appointed and well maintained. There were some board games too, and our toddler loved playing with the jenga blocks. One small note, the toilets seem to run at random times for 20 seconds at a time. Obviously not a big deal during the day but when it happens at 2 or 3am it's a little unsettling. Overall we had a great experience. The communication was great and would definitely stay again when in the area!

Great location

My husband and I enjoyed the cute A-frame very close to Main Street. The neighborhood was beautiful to walk through, and the owners' care for their property is clear throughout. We found it close to waterfalls, trails, shopping and restaurants.

Great location and stay

Be Still was a wonderful home for our two night visit to Highlands. Extremely easy access to the town but also away from it all. Great info inside on restaurants and hikes (our main reason for our trip!). We were just a family of three for this trip and this little home was perfect. Communication and check-in were A+.

“Be Still” is a lovely place

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is so convenient to town but tucked away in the quietness of the woods. “Be Still” was very clean and decorated like Joanna Gaines did it. Has all the updated conveniences you need.

Couldn't Be Happier

Every year my sister-in-law and I take my 90 year old mother and aunt on a "Girls Road Trip." This year we decided to travel to Highlands since it is only a couple of hours from where we live. It was a last minute trip and we were doubtful that we could find accommodations without a lot of stairs. We found "Be Still" and could not have been happier! It is a CHARMING little chalet, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean!! The communication with the owners, from beginning to end, was stellar and they could not have been nicer! The king sized bed downstairs was perfect for the "older" ladies, and the loft bedrooms were great for my SIL and me! We felt as if we were staying in a tree house! There was just enough space for the 4 of us, even though the house slept 5. We could not have been any more comfortable or enjoyed our experience any more! I cannot wait to go back in the near future! "Be Still" was a TOTAL winner!

Charming Getaway

We had a great weekend getaway. It is a charming A-frame conveniently located near town. The house is clean, updated, and the master bedroom bed is super comfortable. A couple of things to consider when you rent... (1) The house is walking distance but there is a big hill to climb on the way back into the neighborhood. (2) The property does not allow pets however the owners seem to have a dog (photos of dog in the house during renovations). The house was very clean but there is a faint smell of dog. I didn't smell it but my husband who has severe pet allergies noticed and mentioned it every time we walked in the house from outside. Thankfully a little allergy medicine helped him enjoy the trip without a severe allergy attack. Overall, we enjoyed the house and our stay!

Stylish A Frame with A+ location

Five blocks from Highlands post office in a cool quiet neighborhood. Check in early and turn off the dehumidifiers and open the windows otherwise it might take a while for the master bedroom and downstairs to cool down. Owners were super friendly and extremely easy to work with. Make sure VRBO doesn’t add on any HIDDEN FEES!

Awesome cabin with 5 star amenities!

We had a most enjoyable stay with 2 eleven year olds. The linens, towels, kitchen appliances , dishes, pans, etc were all first class!!! Everything looked like we were the first to use. So peaceful and relaxing. Owners were so accommodating to us!! Loved the convenient location. The girls loved their room upstairs and didn’t want to come home!!! Excellent get away!!!!
