Very basic hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a festival nearby. It was an average stay until we left 2 belongings in our room which were definitely left in the room, however the hotel claimed not to find them. Very disappointing. Also no air conditioning in 30 degree summer heat!

I came to London for 3 nights. And wanted something reasonably priced for me and my boyfriend. I wasn't picky but this was a real disappointment. The images of this hotel are very deceiving. The room was tiny. Barely able to open your suitcase on the floor. Bed was ok, relatively comfortable but no mattress protector on the bed and a badly fitting sheet and there were stains on the mattress. The bathroom was tiny. Shower barely fit one person in it and the sink was at most 6x4 inches. The coating on the cupboards in the bathroom were peeling off and it was very rough over all. There was no air conditioning and the street is too noisy to leave the window open. We asked for a quieter room but that was even smaller and more run down. Breckfast was literally toast, butter, jam, and cheap ham and cheese. Very poor but coffee was ok. Would not recommend anyone staying here. Only benefit is that it's a 3 minute walk from finsbury park underground station.

We arrived at the Pembury Hotel to greeted by a lady who needed a course in customer service. The room was very small unable to use the toilet without keeping the door open!! The room was however clean but the bed was horrendous the squeak was so bad that every time you moved it literally woke us up. The noise from the residents was also naughty so little sleep was achieved. The day we checked out we were greeted by a nice man on reception who informed us we could leave our bag in the luggage area, which only staff had access too. We left a bag and some cans of alcohol but when returned the alcohol was gone. The reception staff were completely unhelpful and just basically told us to leave. One the plus sign it was a short walk to the tube which allowed us a quick get away.

My girlfriend and I booked a hotel for us to go to a concert nearby. But we soon found out how disgusting our room was! As we checked in, they did not have our room ready so they put us in a different room, which was fine, but then we had to go through the back entrance into a different building that we thought it was just flats... it was hard to find and unappealing to arrive at. As we entered our room we noticed how unhygienic it was, just filthy. I will let pictures speak for themselves; would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Well, what can i say? The staff is hideous, the bedroom was just filthy with an used condom and rotten strawberry on the mattress platform for 2 days ina row, untill i snaped and picked them up myself and took them to the reception to show the staff what i had been complaining for two days, tha lady just looked up and said "sorry". There was no complainst book or record, the solution was to give me the manager email (which he didn't reply to). So bad i cannot show the photos here, but if you go to you search the hotel reviews and can see the horrible photos there from the guests.

This hotel was relatively cheap. The room was small, and the breakfast was very basic. If you're not too fussy and just want somewhere to sleep and have a snack in the morning before heading off into London, then this place will do you just fine. It is a short walk from Finsbury Park underground station, which is just a stop or two from Kings Cross station.

If I could rate this hotel any lower I would, I have never stayed in a dirtier hotel room in my life and paying £100 jesus, I wouldn't have paid £20. Arriving to our room we were greeted by a used woman's sanitary pad. The bed was horrible and the shower big enough for an unborn child. After complaining we just got a sorry nothing else..

We booked this using air miles so we could get to a function in London. I would not want to pay £120 a night for this. The room was tiny with a small sized double bed and minute bathroom. The bed felt hard to sit on but we actually slept well on it. Lots of noise around with loud voices and banging doors although it did go quiet later and wasn't a big issue. There are Tea and coffee making facilities and a shower which produced plenty of hot water. I had to move the wardrobe slightly so I could open the door past the wall mounted flat screen TV. Yes, the rooms are that small! No chairs in the room to sit on but as we were there quite late, we could watch TV while laying on the bed. So on the positive side, the shower was good, we had a good nights sleep and the receptionists were polite and friendly. Breakfast was poor with little choice of cereal, no fruit but some cheese and ham with white or brown toast. Breakfast was included in our rate but really wasn't worth hanging around for. For the price, I suspect that a Travel Lodge would be better value. Unless you are really on a budget, I'd suggest looking elsewhere but at least the room was clean. Location is good though with Finsbury Park Tube being a very short walk away with access to Piccadilly and Victoria line to whisk you into central London. Also many busses pass by which provides an alternative.

Housekeeping only replaced towels, not sheets. Floors of room and hotel were filthy. Room needed painting. Staff very rude and unhelpful. Continental breakfast was just toast, tea and juice. No WiFi except for at reception desk. Could hear other guests throughout the night over thin walls. Only positive thing is the proximity to Finsbury Park underground but area itself is dirty and uninviting also. Would be fine for one night layover not for four nights.

Pleasantly surprised at the level of comfort this is a two star no matter what anybody says it shows itself as a three star but it has no Wi-Fi in any of the rooms they have very very small on sweets the noise factor is very low my room for are you for was very quiet very clean very small
