Nomads hervey bay
The complex is reminiscent of army barracks or some sort of prison. The rooms were dubious in regards to cleanliness and all facilities were very old and run down, we had to turn the fridge off cometely as it was making so much noise. The complex is right by a camping spot and main road so all we could hear all night was traffic, car doors slamming and other peoples music through the paper thin Walls. However the girl on reception was very helpful when our Fraser tour was cancelled last minute and got us straight onto an alternative the same morning.
I would advise "Next Backpackers" as a much better alternative.

Das Nomads Hostel in Hervey Bay ist fuer Gaeste,die ein Doppelzimmer benoetigen,nicht empfehlenswert
Das Nomads Hostel in Hervey Bay hat einen nett angelegten Komplex, wobei allerdings zu beachten ist, dass das Restaurant/Bar direkt in der Mitte liegt und es abends/nachts lauter zu geht.
Die Duschen und Toiletten, die von mehreren Gebaeuden geteilt werden sahen bei unserem Aufenthalt (Februar 2011) so aus, als waeren sie seit 4 Wochen oder laenger nicht gesaeubert worden. Man fuehlte sich doppelt so dreckig sobald man aus der Dusche gestiegen war.
Ein Doppelzimmer (in unserem Fall 408) besteht aus nichts weiter als einem kleinen Doppelbett in einem kleinen Raum. Es gibt kaum Platz, um Koffer abzustellen ohne die Tuere zu blockieren.
An der Wand gab es ausser einem Haken und einen alten Spiegel rein gar nichts und selbst der Deckenventilator konnte fuer keine Kuehlung sorgen, sondern war einfach nur ein weiterer Geraeuschpegel.
