Hotel was in a good location with lots of lovely bars and restaurants within walking distance. My boyfriend and I went half-board. On arrival after check in we had to show our own way to our room as staff did not appear. Within a few hours of being in our room a member of staff walked in without knocking. On the second day we went to the hotel's beach and a man who was not in hotel uniform came up to us telling us we had to pay to use it which reception had not told us - 4 euros per person per day unless all inclusive. Considering this is a 5 star hotel guests should be able to use their beach at no extra cost. On top of this, staff were also rude and food was often cold. Finally on our second to last night we bought some alcohol from a local shop to enjoy, however we did not finish it and the next morning after our cleaner had been in, the alcohol had just disappeared. Really disappointed with this hotel and would not recommend.
Me and my family got invited for a look around this lovely hotel prior to booking for my daughter's birthday in July this year,a member of staff showed us round the complex and in a couple of room which were all immaculate. We booked immediately after the tour so a proper review will follow in July 😁
Fantastic holiday at a first class hotel in ideal location. All members of staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for us. Quality of food was brilliant and beautifully presented. All topped off with lovely weather. Definitely recommend this hotel and the island of Crete.
Stayed here for a week all inc and loved it. The hotel was clean and in good condition, the pool was superb, the food was good (huge range of options) and the location is great. However, what made it so brilliant was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and I thoroughly recommend it. I would imagine in peak season it would get a bit tight on the (fairly small) beach and around the pool but this wasn’t a problem in October.
Returned yesterday from a 7 night all inclusive stay at this fantastic hotel. The room was immaculate, very clean and tidy and all the staff (from cleaners, ports, reception, restaurant, bar and auxiliary staff were the best I have encountered. Nothing was too much trouble.. Beach are was popular with plenty of sun loungers and parasols available with fresh towels daily. Jet skis and inflatables were constantly in action providing water sport for the energetic. There were lots of families with small children which is always nice to see along with a mix of all other ages. The pool bar proved very popular with its bar and snack area alongside the main pool. Apparently, they use around 600 eggs daily cooking omelettes, fried, scrambled and boiled or if you prefer you can have a continental breakfast from 7.30am to 10.30am. In the evenings they put on live music which differs each night along with traditional Greek dancing and a mini disco for children. Great fun for all concerned. Well worth a visit - we went 17th - 24th October which may be a little late in the season but we would return possible a couple of weeks earlier next time.
Stayed here for a week all inclusive. We received a very warm welcome with a drink and a wet cloth to freshen up. The restaurant was closed but we were offered food. We were taken to our room by the security guard who was very helpful and showed us how everything worked. There was a bottle of wine in the room with glasses and fruit. The room was large enough and a sea view was perfect. Tea coffee was available in room also a fridge and safe free of charge. Wifi was also available with a good signal. The food was very good with lots of variety at all meals, the chief was also available to for dietary advice. I made a suggestion with regard to the layout of glutton free and this was taking on board.. The whole place is spotless, towels are changed every day when the room is cleaned. The staff without exception were fantastic. And extremely helpful. I woul£ definitely return.
We went for a week in September, and although the cleanliness of the hotel and pool was great we still had a few issues. The waste pipe from our sink broke spilling out dirty and very smelly water onto the floor. We rang reception who were going to send someone, the smell was so bad that we fixed it ourselves. I called to tell them we had fixed it before going out for the evening but could they send someone to clean the mess. When we got back no on had been we had to use our towels to mop the mess. We requested an upper floor sea view, this overlooked the children pool which was not an issue it however was a very partial sea view. I will attach a picture of this as I paid extra and was not pleased. I didn't complain to reception as we arrived at midnight and unpacked and didn't see the lack of view until the morning. The beds however were comfortable enough but were to singles pushed together which I realise is common in hotels but for a 5* hotel where we asked for a double this wasn't good enough. Air con was ok once we got it work and daily maid service was great too.Safe was easy to use. Towels for the beach are available, however someone took one of ours on the 2nd day when we were on lunch, luckily we brought our own towels too. Pool area was immaculate. We went B&B and were very impressed with the large variety of breakfast available each morning. Great local area and shops/bars but not 5* and definitely not worth the money for our first holiday together in 4 years.
Just returned from a 7 night All-inclusive stay at the Blue sea beach, the hotel is in a brilliant position, on the sea front and right next to lots of bars, restaurants and shops. We found the food and drink selection good with plenty of choice. The visit to the A la carte restaurant (one visit per stay) was very enjoyable, in a lovely position looking out to sea. Our room was a garden view in the main building, it was a good size and kept very clean & tidy throughout our stay. We were put in a private pool room for our first night but, as mentioned in previous reviews, I don't think that we would choose one on a return visit. Not sure if it was because of the time of year but the private patio was always in the shade and the pool was very cold !!! The whole resort is kept very clean with lovely pool & garden areas with lots of sun beds. Beach towels are provided free of charge. Staff throughout the resort are all friendly. We will definitely return to this hotel.
As we're sat here waiting to leave for our journey home I thought I would write this review as I honestly could not wait to praise this hotel! Firsty.. Our room, we paid extra for a sea view and boy did it exceed our expectations. What an incredible view we had. We stayed in room 132. I would definately reccomend this room! I was a very lucky girl to have been proposed to on this holiday and the staff made this even more special. They decorated the room with rose petals and made the occasion special for us! Every single member of staff at The Blue Sea work extremely hard and you cannot fault any of them, they are insanely polite and will help you in any way possible. Now onto the food, Wow! I have never experienced an All Inclusive like it. They have so many different varieties to choose from and it is all so delicious. I would say im a picky person when it comes to food and I had a plate full every single say! I could honestly go on and on but all in all this the perfect hotel and any bad reviews left are all nonsense!! Thank you so much for making our holiday one to remember!
We stayed here for 10 days and had our own private pool. Apartment very comfy and went all inclusive food was ok, drinks not the best choice and the choice of cocktails pretty poor. Having the pool was pure luxury. Stalis itself has lots of bars. We hired a quad and went up in the mountains visited the tree of knowledge. Fantastic holiday.
